Advanced Physical Therapy

I received a bill in September for 1 physical therapy appointment. The appointment was made for a date before my insurance had approved. I never saw the referral so I had no idea until I received the bill. Advanced physical therapy submitted the referral so was aware of the dates that my insurance had approved for treatment and called me with the appt date. I called them SEVERAL times about this bill and told them they needed to resubmit a referral to my insurance. At some point they told me it was their mistake and not to worry about the bill. Then in January I received a final notice so I called them 3 separate times and never received a call back. Finally I spoke with someone at the end of February saying they are going to finally resubmit the claim to my insurance. My insurance ended up paying the claim some time before March 21st. I received a credit report that the bill had gone to collections in December! It made my credit score go From 825 to 690. I am currently trying to get a home loan and even with putting 30% down I don’t qualify because of this mistake that they made. I tried to resolve this soooooo many times and was assured it wouldn’t go to collections and they would work on getting this taken care of.
