Advanced Protection Network, Incorporated Reviews (21)

October 3, 2017Account Number: [redacted]Disputed amount: $733.04This is a reply to Ms. [redacted] representing the customer on the contract for [redacted].  What Ms. [redacted] stated is not true because APN Alarm’s technicians were well aware that any customer transitioning from...

landline to wireless can be converted to a GSM radio connection to connect their alarm system to “dial” out to the monitoring center.  Whenever a customer discontinues his/her landline service, the alternative to connect their alarm system would be through GSM radio (cell connection).  The APN Technician would never had said, “our products are obsolete and could not function without a landline”, as Ms. [redacted] stated.  The APN technician who installed the system at [redacted] is Mr. [redacted].  He was formerly a technician and is now a Sales Manager with APN Alarm and he stated that he did in fact, inform the customer of the option to convert to GSM radio, in the future if they discontinued their landline service.  All APN Alarm burglar alarm customers who sign the monitoring contract, are obligated to remain with APN Alarm for a period of at least 5 years.  A customer wanting to cancel their service prior to the 5 year term, has three options; 1) transfer the system to another location (if the customer is moving), 2) have another party takeover the remaining months of the contract term, or 3) buy-out the remaining balance of the contract term.  Further, a customer wanting to cancel would have to submit, in writing 30 days prior to the effective cancellation date, their request to cancel and what option they are opting for, if it is not end-of-term.  Due to liability reasons, APN Alarm cannot and will not accept verbal requests, simply because we would not be able to identify the person calling in to request the cancellation.  This is all clearly stated in the back of the monitoring contract, which Ms. [redacted] signed on June, 19, 2012.  I believe Ms. [redacted] is the mother of Ms. [redacted].  We have a copy of the monitoring agreement, signed by Ms. [redacted] of [redacted] and will be more than happy to provide a copy, if it is requested.  We also feel that we, APN Alarm has done nothing wrong and we have continued to fulfill our end of the obligation, which is to provide monitoring service for this customer.  It is the customer’s responsibility, If there are changes to their [redacted]dline system, which is how it was initially set up for.    If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at [redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]
