I have two issues with this person
My records show that the repairs were completed
We had no contact with this person for months after the repair was completedWe had one of the worst winters on recordHe says it was
never fixed, and he waits months to contact us?
I find it hard to believe that anyone would wait so long to tell us that our repair did not work, especially with the conditions we had last winterThe amount of snow we had caused good roofs to leak a little and bad roofs to fail completelyI believe there were other issues that caused the leak
I offered to send someone back out, several timesHe sent me an email in April complaining about the leakI did respondI told him, as I tell anyone that contacts me through an email, to call me, on the phone and confirm the location of his houseI am a one man officeI am hardly ever in the officeI spend to hours a day driving around checking my men, bringing needed supplies, looking at work, meeting customersI do not respond to texts nor emails while on the roadI do not have the time to pull over, get my glasses out, read a message and replyI normally work to hours a dayI do not text nor email customersI always ask my customers to use the phone as I can have a much faster and complete transfer of information this wayI normally get all my phone conversation done while driving with my Bluetooth
I relayed this information to this customer the first time he emailed me, asking him to please call me to confirm his addressAbout three weeks later, when I had time to check my emails, he had responded....but there was no addressI again asked him to telephone meI never heard back from him
His contention that he tried to contact me for six months is a total fabricationWe have a solid reputation and always respondWe have done over repairs this year alone and yet his is the only complaintI have had several customers with "mystery leaks" on their housesCould have been the roof, siding or windowsEven though it took several visits to determine the source of water migration, we stuck with it to solve the leakWe don't walk awayAll this guy had to do was confirm the address through a phone call, and we wouldn't be at this point

First, this is mostly not trueI think they are not very honest in their representation of the facts
I called a few times and never got a call backFinally, sent an email and he respondedTried them multiple times again and still nothing
He promised to stop by if sent my address and I resent my address twiceHe never stopped by
He is not only misrepresenting the facts but out right lying
This was my last resortThe fundamental issue is that he doesn't want to do the work that he guaranteed would get done

On October 25, 2017, Sam S*** DBA: Advanced Roofing Solutions(***) replaced porch roof on my residenceI was greatly disappointed with the job (see enclosed copy of 11/11/letter)I failed to be contacted by the 17th, several hard rains had occurred so I did the work my selfI had done the roof adjacent to the front porch roof myself in and covered the hip joint with 1/2" spacingThe directions on the shingles called for 5" over-lapping coverage, so my job was a little more conservativeI removed filled holes & replaced hip covers with tab shingles overlapped with 5" exposureI also cut out "u" troughs of caulk on flashing, replaced with sufficient caulk & nailed to siding
I have saved the shingles removed - problems = nails a bare inch from edge of shinglesNails barely overlapped 1" by shingle on topPoor, Poor workI expect to be spending time evaluating rear roof placed on rotten wood in the spring to see if entire roof

I reached out to my customer. I will meet with them on Wednesday and will resolve the matter.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS ROOFING COMPANY!!! I highly advise finding another company that takes pride in and stands behind their work (and crew) and truly believes in customer satisfaction.
We had a full roof replaced (complete tear off) done and paid for in June 2014. Two weeks later, my husband needed to use his Stihl chain saw and discovered it and the case missing. No other visitors had been at our house in two weeks.
My husband called Doug [redacted] to make him aware of the situation. My husband stated that his crew was the only crew here and that the saw had been used just prior to the crew being there.
Please note, there were multiple other issues on Advanced Roofing Solutions part as well. They delivered the wrong shingles, the work was delayed another by several days, they needed to come back on a Saturday, a skeleton crew showed up, without a manager, and neither my husband nor I were home. My father was there, called us to make us aware about the skeleton crew with no supervisor, but unfortunately had to leave for an appointment while the roofers were already underway. My husband attempted to get a hold of Doug at that time with no call back.
Upon talking to Doug (two weeks later) regarding the missing chain saw and case, Doug said "Uh-oh... okay. Let me talk to my guys." It gave my husband the impression this was not the first time property had gone missing with his workers. My husband pointedly asked Doug who the crew was that worked on our roof and Doug was unable to answer. He could not verify who his workers were on the job site.
Eventually, after several phone calls, Doug asked my husband to send the receipts for the saw and case. We believed he was going to make this situation right. My husband sent a copy of the original receipt, which I had purchased for him as a gift. It was bought in 2008 for $415. My husband had used it about 4 times. Two more follow up phone calls later and a check for $150 showed up in our mailbox. Clearly not enough to replace a quality piece of equipment.
We were flexible and forgiving about the shingles and delay that occurred during this process. But stealing personal property is unacceptable and a criminal act. Doug was dismissive and did very little to rectify things. For us, $415 is a lot of money (not to mention a new roof). For a roofing company, this is something they likely have insurance for or, at the least, is something they could write off.
Please be warned when using this company. And again, find an owner that takes pride in and stands behind their work, will vouch for their crew, and believes in righting wrongs. This is not that company.
