I had Todd Fritz out to give me an estimate on replacing my roof and guttersDuring the estimate presentation while reviewing the itemized components of the quote, MrFritz excused himself, telling me that he would be back in a secondI presumed he was going to get a product sample or similar item in order to better answer my questions about the quoteInstead, he got into his truck and simply drove awayI've made three attempts to contact him since then and he has not returned a single callNo wonder they use an answering serviceIn my opinion, they don't deserve a positive rating on any siteIf this behavior is an example of the timeliness and quality of work, then I consider myself lucky for not have giving him a cent and will move on to more qualified businesses

good morning *** we spoke on 11//14 about the conversation I had with Todd fritzon the morning of 11/19/ I text Todd about the great job they did on the rear of the house on 11/15,16/and when would he be doing the frontHe called me and told me he would not repair the front like the job on the back. told me I could call Revdex.com or take him to courtafter a few minutes of arguing he said he would come back in spring and repair parts of it But would not do the job the right way. he told me he does not know why the roof is lifting like that . I told him we both know it wasn't done the right way the first timeHe told me he will not pay his guys $again like he did with the rear of the house told me I could sue him.was told that he would return early spring to make some misctile repair I would like to have this case reopened and put on record until something is done . I HAVE BEEN VERY VERY VERY PATIENT IT IS EVEN WRITTEN ON HIS 2ND CONTRACT. DONT WANT TO TAKE THE LAW SUITE CHANCES. I was not sure what Revdex.com information meant so yes please send complaint to the businessI would like the settlement to fix the leak so that it is no longer leaking If he does not react in a timely manner I will call another roofer to fix it, and he should be liable for the payment of the
repair.

I met with Mr Fritz to discuss an estimate of a tear off roof in my house in RochesterSince the very first moment, his attitude was very professional and very helpfulEverything he suggested was explainedEverything I asked was considered and commentedI felt that my needs were the very first engine of that discussionAfter contracting his services, he told me he would put my house in schedule and about when the work was going to be doneFinally the work was assigned to start at a given dateThe day the work was supposed to start, they were there since AMI arrived later and they were rapidly removing the old roofThey worked for almost days replacing the roofDuring all that time, the crew was very carefully with the property, and very respectfulThere was a crew leader, but you would have said he was not needed except for he was constantly aware of everythingThe crew on the other hand appeared to be well oiledEvery one apparently knew what he had to do at all times and they were constantly working without time losesObviously some of them were more experienced than others, but they all did their partThe crew leader took care of some of the most specialized work, like flashing the chimneys, but additionally was able to answer any of my questions in a very respectful and amicable wayWhen they finished the work everything around the property was cleaned and the crew leader approached me for the payment and informed me of what I should expect in with what remained thereIn summary, I was very satisfied on working with this company and their price was very fairI would not doubt in recommending this company to any one

I was lead to believe that the entire roof on the sun  porch was redone.  The charge of $1930 seems an exorbitant amount for one side of a sun roof if that indeed is what he is claiming.  And why would he return twice to fix something he is saying he didn't do.  Why not simply say that I need a  new roof on that side as well instead of sayng he didn't know what was causing the leak??? It makes no sense.  And yes originally he was going to only do the right side but then added the left side.  And why ignore all my phone calls and not even return a call and say what he is saying to you.  He never once mentioned that to me in the few times I was able to contact him.  And I would NEVER allow him back to do more work for me.

Lead to believe entire sun porch roof was being replaced ??? Contract dated 3-1-14 clearly states WEST SIDE ONLY. Ice damming/damage was on the west side, homeowners insurance company paid to have the west side replaced as well as the interior damage on the west side. Cost was $1,840.00 which included material, labor, and dumpster (roof was torn off and dumpster was required). $90.00 was added on-site to replace 2 rotted pieces of plywood decking (again as our original contract clearly states). We returned 2 times at no charge to the look at and try to fix the leak on the EAST SIDE thinking maybe it was a quick/simple fix and we were not worried about charging the homeowner for that. Needless to say we were surprised to find out the homeowner filed a bad report with the Revdex.com about our business.

Revdex.com spoke with the business who advised that this roof was completed 8 years ago.  Warranty covers the roof for 5 years and does not cover ice daming.  However the business would like to schedule an appointment with this consumer to see what can be done to...

assist him.  Business will reach out to the consumer to schedule an appointment.

New roof was installed on WEST side of sun porch on 3/7/14 due to severe ice damming problem homeowner was having. Our contract clearly states WEST side of sun porch and homeowner is well aware of that. Existing leak is on the EAST side of the sun porch, WE DID NOT EVEN DO THAT SIDE OF THE ROOF ?...

Even though we did not do that side of the roof we have been there two times at no charge to the homeowner to try to find the problem and help the homeowner out (again at no charge). If homeowner would like an estimate to do that side of the roof we would do that.

We had three estimates for a new roof. Todd was the lowest estimate of all 3 quotes. My husband called to get a quote and Todd arrived the next day, measured the roof and gave us a quote. We then set up an appointment to meet with him to discuss the contract. Todd was extremely professional, knowledgeable and explained the job description in great detail. The existing roof needed to be torn off, the chimney needed to be re-flashed, a cricket needed to be built and all existing vents needed to be replaced. At this time, there was absolutely no pressure to sign the contract and after signing the contract we had up to 72 hours to cancel if needed. Todd had excellent communication with us throughout the whole process. He notified us of the start date ( which was within a week), when the dumpster would be dropped off and when his crew would arrive. Upon arrival home from work, the lead foreman explained in detail what part of the job was completed and what would occur the next day. The crew did a thorough job of cleaning the area surrounding the house at the end of each day. There were several men on crew and the house was completed in an extremely timely manner (2 days). The new roof looks spectacular. We are very satisfied with the professionalism and efficiency of the job. I would HIGHLY recommend Todd Fritz Inc. Thank you.

Hi [redacted] Im looking for a suggestion about my problem with Todd Fritz roofing.  Complaint  [redacted] .since the last time I spoke to you. Within a month the rear roof lifted again.  All over the roof. I do have the pictures if you need them.  TODD has them too.   Said he would come back and do the roof again. (Not happy).  I have all the pictures and text from last December when this started again.  I have let it wait becouse of all the wonderful weather we were having.  But now  I can't get him to respond to my calls. Last text and call was yesterday. I know what I have to do.I was just hopeing you had a new idea.Thanks [redacted]

I did speak to [redacted] on 11/19/14. As per our agreement the REAR of the house roof was torn off and replaced on 11/16 and 11/17. [redacted] wanted to know when the front was going to be torn off and replaced ? (he knew we were only doing the rear). The roof decking on the rear was rippled under the new roof shingles, I explained that I had no idea why the roof decking had done that and the roof shingles installed in March 2007 were installed per contract specifications and all manufacturer installation specifications. The front had a couple of shingles rippled in one or two small areas and [redacted] knew we were going to remove a few shingles in these areas and repair as needed. I was surprised when I talked to [redacted] on 11/19 that he wanted the front completely torn off and replaced now as well. However I never became upset or said anything like "you can take us to court", that is ridiculous. We have gone above and beyond to try to satisfy [redacted]. Again even though the rear of the roof was rippling under the shingles (at NO fault to our installation) we agreed we would tear it off and replace it.  Yes it did cost us $3,000 out of pocket to replace the rear, not bad considering we charged [redacted] $4,500 originally for the entire roof almost 8 years ago, which by the way it is clearly stated on the original contract comes with a 5 YEAR WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY and again the original installation was done almost 8 years ago . I am insulted by [redacted] is questioning our business practices and how we treat our customers. We have thousands of completely satisfied customers over the 18 years we have been in business.

o.k.  I see how this is going to be.  For everything I say,  he is going to lie.  So it becomes his word against mine.  So let me make a few last comments that I would like answers to:  l.  Oh yes, the contract says that.  But he  said something different. That was just an estimate for the insurance company.  Why if the other half of the roof needed repair or replacement, did he at no time either at the initial visit or the two other visits say that.  BECAUSE he TOLD ME he ALREADY DID IT.
And he was surprised I contacted the Revdex.com??? The last few times I called him, I told the answering service to give him that message. Call me back or I am going to the Revdex.com.
It looks like the only recourse I have will be by word of mouth to let people know what happened.  I will never accept his response so I don't know what happens now.
I DO NOT want him to do anything now.  I will hire another contractor to do the job right.  (not to mention the awful job he did matching the roof on the one side, oh right I forgot---it was the best he could do.  I would like answers to my questions.
Todd Fritz, my husband trusted you.  He is rolling over in his grave right now knowing what you did to me.
