Good Morning, I am writing you in reference to the Case number ***. As you can see from the signed documents above from *** *** brake shoes were recommended on his vehicle which he declined and signed our ticket as such. Also please note the signed credit card
transaction slip for our services. Mr*** agreed to the services performed and after they were performed he threw a fit about the price in our customer lounge and the owner was called to settle him down. Mr*** wanted the Manager and Owner to reduce the price even though he had agreed to the price before we performed the work. His complaint on the day of service was never about the service we performed only that he did not want to pay $for the repairs we did on his tractor trailer. When he left our facility he stopped his vehicle got our and keyed the *** *** *** *** truck that had just been repaired by us. This left a small community fire department with firetruck instead of 2. The police were called and criminal action is being taken therefore I don’t want to give to many other details until he appears in court. However I can say that the statement above is well documented. Sincerely, Renee ***Vice President

Review: I lost two oil seals on my semi truck and it soaked up the brake pads. DOT considers this extremely dangerous, so I went to Advanced Tire and Auto to have them fixed. I told the manager, Curtis to put new brake shoes on but he didn't. He sent me out of the shop with the old greased up brakes. I asked him why he didn't put them on and he said my brakes were cleaned and we're fine. I drove out of the shop but decided to check the brakes anyway and sure enough, by brakes were just as I took them in. Highway patrol in any state will put my truck out of service on the spot for something like that. I drove back into the shop and had to argue with them to fix my brakes. They claim I didn't want new shoes, but I have owned trucks for 8 years and I knew any oil on the brake shoes is an automatic failure at any inspection site. Please help me.Desired Settlement: I paid for repair on my semi truck and wanted the brakes replaced, and they put my old oily brakes back on and told me I was done. I was told the brakes were cleaned and they are good. I looked under the truck and thy were just as I brought them in. They charged me $35 dollars for cleaner alone and didn't clean anything. They also delayed me for a whole day to do a four our job. The supervisor, Curtis, promised do be at the shop at 8am with the new brakes and showed up an hour late.

Good Morning, I am writing you in reference to the Case number [redacted]. As you can see from the signed documents above from [redacted] brake shoes were recommended on his vehicle which he declined and signed our ticket as such. Also please note the signed credit card transaction slip for our services. Mr. [redacted] agreed to the services performed and after they were performed he threw a fit about the price in our customer lounge and the owner was called to settle him down. Mr. [redacted] wanted the Manager and Owner to reduce the price even though he had agreed to the price before we performed the work. His complaint on the day of service was never about the service we performed only that he did not want to pay $462.44 for the repairs we did on his tractor trailer. When he left our facility he stopped his vehicle got our and keyed the [redacted] truck that had just been repaired by us. This left a small community fire department with 1 firetruck instead of 2. The police were called and criminal action is being taken therefore I don’t want to give to many other details until he appears in court. However I can say that the statement above is well documented. Sincerely, Renee [redacted]Vice President

Review: I was travelling from out of town on Sunday July 7th and shut down on the highway on I 95 in Virginia. I called a tow truck who towed my vehicle to Advanced Tire and Auto. On Monday July 8th, the car was "repaired" and I was charged a repair and diagnostic fee. They stated by battery was dead and replaced it. Upon retrieval of my vehicle, I proceeded to shut down again within 45 min of resuming my journey back home (~50 miles out). I called the company and they said that they looked over everything and that they fixed all that they saw wrong. I again had to pay for another tow truck to take me to another repair shop. This time the repair shop told me that my alternator fuse and cable had melted. I find it extremely hard to believe that this was a new incident given the exact same issues had occured the night before. I contacted [redacted] and they gave me their warranty contact information. However, I am covering $75.00 out of pocket for a second tow truck service which should not have been needed had my first repair been performed adequately and thoroughly. I believe Advanced Auto and Tire did not perfrom the services they stated they did such as a diagnosis and electrical check. Had a thorough review of the car been performed, then the alternator issues would have been found out immediately. This could have avoided another shut down on the highway, another set of towing, and another set of repairs. I firmly believe a disservice was provided to me when my car was brought to Advanced Auto and Tire. It is unfair that they stated they did something and did not. It created alot of hassle, discomfort, and stress for me, when it call could have been dealt with initially. They were hired and payed to fix a problem which was not fixed. This resulted in another towing and repair bill.Desired Settlement: Payment for the second set of towing- $75.00. Additionally, I would like a formal complaint to be made against the company so future consumers can get a clear idea of the kind of business they are dealing with.

Re: Complaint ID [redacted]

Good Morning [redacted],

Thank you for your letter in reference to [redacted] complaint. I have reviewed the information and her complaint seems to be that she had to pay $75.00 to have her car re-towed after her car broke down after a repair at our facility. As I mentioned in our phone conversation the other day our warranty provides for reimbursement for towing of up to $75.00 however, the customer must contact the warranty company and they will initiate the tow for the customer. Obviously that did not happen in this case since [redacted] is requesting reimbursement.

Our warranty program actually covers two (2) roadside assistance incidents for any covered services per coverage period per covered vehicle, up to a maximum eligible reimbursement amount of seventy-five dollars per disablement (the [redacted]).

Therefore, we are declining reimbursement of $75.00 to [redacted]. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I apologize for the delayed response as I was out of town most of last week.

Sincerely,

Renee' Johnson

Vice President
