Dear ***, In reference to Letter from Mr. [redacted] .1. Electric boxes were not hooked up by our company. We are not electricians and this was not contracted by our office.2. Downspouts are hung. Joe had asked the crew not to hung them till the front porch rail was installed so the downspouts would fit... properly. When Joe completed the railing he hung them.3.Front porch railing is complete and Mr. [redacted] said he was very happy. The carpet was not contracted by us, we do not do carpet.4. Joe D [redacted] was injured in a car crash on August 6 this is easy enough to verify. He has 3 fractured vertebrae in his back and 3 bulging discs, again easy enough to verify. We do have someone who is going to jump in and finish the porch for Mr. [redacted] . I will not know the date until after October 5. I am very sorry Mr. [redacted] is upset, he is probably one of the nicest customers I have ever had. His job will be complete by the 20th of October. I had explained this to Mr. [redacted] and he said he understood it, I should have sent him something in writing. I hope this clears any misunderstanding.Thank you for your help with this matter.

This complaint has been taken care ofThe panel was ordered but the manufacturer sent wrong sideIt was reordered and delivered

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I do accept this settlement and I will gladly sign a release to get a refund however, I must address several issues in their response to mine. I had NO idea anyone came here to give me a refund because apparently the day they came that I was later informed of I was not home having had a doctor's appointment that day. My vehicle is here all the time because I have vision issues and can no longer safely drive it so I try to get rides when I need to go anywhere most all the time. No one called me at any time to let me know anyone was coming, I received no phone calls to that effect or notice at all of anyone bringing it to me so consequently I did not know they were planning on coming out. I do not appreciate them saying I would NOT come to the door. It is absurd that anyone would make a complaint to get a refund and then not accept the refund when it is brought to them?! Also I have called since then and talked to them and they said they were planning to give me a refund but until today no one said anything about me having to make 'an appointment' to do so even though I asked them about that just before the holidays again. Today I did call them again and we finally set up a regular agreed appointment time for them to come out and for me to sign a release of contract on Monday, Jan12th, at 10:00am.I have no complaints against the company itself, nor their work or personnel other than I asked for them to do a job for me and I got no action to my requests at all to at least start the contract before cold weather set in other than putting it off month after month. I can't complain on their work or anything since nothing was done. I have no animosity towards anyone there nor do I plan to complain on them as a business I just want a refund and hopefully I can find someone to do the work for me this Spring as it urgently needs to be done before my deck de-stabilizes any further

I have talked to the customers on this matter. I am going to fix the screws and regrout the sills and redo the caulking as for the condensation problem that will fall on mfg these have a life time warranted each time I have talked to customers I have been cussed at and screamed
at if they would like to talk to me like adults I will be happy to set up a time to fix problems thank you

This is in response to a message received by the business (AVDC).There are several areas, in our initial complaint, that the company has overlooked, or misunderstood. 1) We did not say that Joe *** had installed the porches : " This work (porches) was to be done by JoeThey assured us everything would be done to our satisfaction."2) Taping of the seams: I had a lengthy discussion with Joe regarding the work to be done on our home I asked if the seams and areas around the windows and doors would be taped He assured me that would be doneOther areas of concern were discussed and reiterated in a subsequent discussion with Joe, myself and my husband, when Joe returned, at a later date, with samples of siding material Taping seams of the house wrap is not in the contract, but, it is standard practice to do so and therefore, implied The contract does not say how the work will be done because it is implied that everything needed to complete the job will be used Any job.3) My husband did NOT tell anyone to haul away the siding.4) We understand about gaps needed to allow for expansion and contraction of the materials BUT, the gaps should be uniform. At this point in time, we do not wish to meet with the company because their past actions, or rather, inaction's have indicated it would be pointless to do so There would be more delays, more excuses and and more untruths. There was ample opportunity for the company to respond to us from the time I spoke with Joe, in August

On January 18th they stopped to fix the window, they put in a bottom sash, which didn't workSo they ordered a whole new windowThe frustrating part was them not communicating with usThey upgraded the glass from what was previously installedThey installed the new window on the 14th, and we are
happy

I am rejecting this response because: We have tried to contact AVDC more than a hand full of times and have received no responseHow many times do you need to call before you lose your cool My husband called on December 11th and 12th and has heard nothing back. We finally got a hold of Joe in June He came out and looked around and admitted that the work that was done was not professional (his words "shotty work") He said that he would have someone call the next day. We received no call.My dad was here on this visit and he will verify everything that was said I called and Joe said that they were very busy I called more than several times throughout the summer and Joe gave us the run around, excuse after excuseI can get my phone records if needed I called late July and asked Joe if this could be fixed before the end of summer because I would be going back to work I am a teacher He reassured me that it would be done! It never happened. The windows have condensation coming through and mold is growing in between the double panes, old screws were placed in the window sill (they shouldn't be there), the caulking is sloppy and turning a red pinkish color, water lays on the sill, The caulking on the french doors turned a rust color within a week, the marble is cracked in several places because of the screws, and the kitchen window will not lock.My husband talked to Joe in November and he said that the condensation was the manufacturers problem and that he didn't have the equipment to test it and would call my husband back with information from the manufacturer He received no call He also hung up on my husbandHe tried to call him back but Joe did not answer. When Joe came to the house to give us and initial estimate we asked him several questions about the Lifetime warranty He reassured us that if anything went wrong AVDC would fix it because of the Lifetime warrantyThis has not been the case We would like our money back so that we can hire a more professional and reliable company or everything resolved in a timely manner!!!! It is winter!!!I know that I said that we didn't want to get the media involved but if needed we will We do not have a problem talking to them and showing them the issuesWe do not want other families going through this! I can send more pictures if needed Thank you

I will look into it and get it fixed we do not make the windows we are the manufacturer mercy for parts thanks for emailing me

Advanced Vinyl Distributors Corp’s have successfully completed the project. They have been done for about 3-1/2 wks.To reiterate, they installed comp decking and vinyl handrail to my deck. I did the demo of the existing wood decking and handrail. They installed comp decking and vinyl rail to the...

existing wood joists, which were in good condition. It took them approx 108 days to start the job and about 2-1/2 wks to complete it once started. The funny thing is that it was the next day after I submitted my complaint that the project begun to move forward. Not sure if it was coincidence or not.The next business day after they were done, they wanted their money. They drove to my house to pick-up check. Thanks for your help and follow-up.

I have made attempts to contact Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] in regrds to their complaint and they have not...

responded. We will need to see the decks to correctly respond. If the material is cupping that would be a material warranty. The [redacted] have said that Joe [redacted] is the one who installed their deck. Mr. [redacted] had surgery on December 9 and did not return to work till the end of February. The [redacted] said they found issues in spring and waited till August to contact our company, Mr. [redacted] was involed in a car accident on his way to their house and was not able to meet with them but yes they should have been notified that he was unable to make it. It does not state anything about taping seams in the contract, if it was something they wanted done they could have stopped job and called the office, I would have sent Joe. As far as the foam board on front, I sent foam board and assume it was used, but unless I take a piece of siding off I cant answer. Regarding the gutters I'm not understanding what they are saying. As to the old siding, Mr. [redacted] had told Alton he did not want to keep old siding. It would have been to our benefit to leave it there instead of hauling it back and taking to dump. As to the gaps between house and deck there needs to be some gap. vinyl siding and composite decking expands and contracts, but again without seeing I can not give a honest answer. We would like to meet with the [redacted] and see if we can work out the issue.
