Crimes Against Seniors
A representative from Advanced Wind Services called a senior US Veteran and introduced herself, she mentioned that she recognized his voice and said she had worked for a company in his county previously. She scheduled a tech to come out and check the A/C for a dripping pan, When they came out to address a dripping pan, they suggested more work, including a need to replace the unit due to wrong size. He declined the replacement. They did replace the pan, let out Freon and added blown insulation. Later a representative call the veteran and said they needed his social security #, without the veteran understanding what just happened he received a credit card in the mail from Synchrony bank, in which he did not apply. That same credit card later showed up with a statement of charges in the amount of $4980 from Advanced Wind Services. Crimes Against seniors. BEWARE

Desired Outcome

I feel that I was charged for services that were not needed and the amount I was charged was not customary with normal rates for these services. I would like the amount to be adjusted to a fair agreeable amount if not waived all together for the fraud that was signing me up for a credit card and then charging the card without my knowledge.

Good morning. This is Yunnallys with Advanced Wind Services responding to the complain done by the costumer or costumer representative.The costumer *** contacted it us with an problem with his Air Conditioning Unit when he talked with us he stated that the unit was leaking water because the primary drain pan was cracked and that previous company were there before. We set up an appt with the costumer on 06/02/2020 with address *** St, Port Charlotte Fl 33952 to check and fix the problem he was having. When one of our technician got there he found the crack drain pan and also low insulation through out the attic. Costumer asked our technician how much was going to be to fix the problem? Technician gave costumer and estimate of how much will cost him to fix the problem. Costumer asked technician how much was going to be to blow the insulation in the attic? Technician gave him the price for all the work.Costumer was happy with the price and wanted to do the job as soon as possible.Technician ask costumer how will he liked to pay and also gave him the option of financing the total balance through Synchrony Bank a method of financial our Company use sometimes if the costumer wants too. Then our technician explain the Costumer how the process of the application with Synchrony Bank works, the different interest rates based on the costumer credit, method of payments and everything else. Costumer choose to go with Synchrony Bank. Our technician guide him through the process of the application and he got approve, costumer signs all paperwork and understood everything he explain to him and all the process from the time the technician was there and gave him the estimate to the point of application for financial, amount charge by the company for the services and everything else.Then our technician schedule with the costumer to do the job the very next day 06/03/2020. On the 06/03/2020 our Installers got there did the job costumer was very happy and satisfied with the job and the Company and that was it until now. I'm also sending the invoiced with the estimate and the Synchrony Bank paperwork sign by the costumer. We are a Air Conditioning Company with very good reviews because of our good work even though we open for business not long ago.
