After water mitigation, the restoration was completed in a subpar manner - the baseboards were replaced with shoddy craftsmanship.On September 30, 2014, AdvantaClean started the work of installing new baseboards to replace the water-damaged ones that had been removed. As the homeowner, I had scheduled to work to occur during a brief 1-week time period when I would be in Durham, NC (I was living in [redacted] at the time); however, they failed to arrive on the scheduled day. Thus, when they did actually do the work several days later, I was no longer in the country to approve of the work. Originally I had been promised photos of the work. Although my request for photos went unmet, I did tender full payment in the amount of $527.65 on Nov 6, 2014.Upon returning home in December and inspecting the property, I realized the work had not been done correctly and began reaching out to Advanta Clean to remedy the situation. My phone messages and emails went unanswered until late January, when I was able to get in contact with [redacted], who agreed to come out and take a look at the work.On February 2, [redacted] came to the property in question, [redacted] and agreed that the work was substandard and should be redone. [redacted] assured me that the work would be done, that the baseboards would be taken out entirely and that they would start anew to 'get it right.' [redacted] stated that he would contact me to schedule.I waited a week and did not hear back from[redacted], so I began to call and email again to schedule a time for repairs. After leaving many voicemails, I was able to catch[redacted] on the phone on February 24. He told me that he would send out someone the subsequent week on March 3 to complete the fixes, start to finish, from 9-5PM. When I asked him if I should call the day before to give a reminder,[redacted] told me that he had set 3 reminders for himself and that I didn't need to worry.On March 3, having taken off work for the express purpose of facilitating the repairs, I waited for the repairmen to come. No one came, so I began calling Advanta Clean at intervals throughout the day. I could not reach[redacted] and, when I called the call center, I was repeatedly told that they couldn't reach[redacted], but that they would forward my info to him and that he would get back to me. Not until around 5PM was I informed that[redacted] had the flu and that this might have contributed to the failure to report. Throughout the day I initiated 4-6 phone calls to AdvantaClean. I received 1 return call, and this not until around 5PM.It is now March 10 and I have yet to hear back from Advanta Clean or [redacted] about their failure to come on March 3rd or their failure to complete the promised repairs. When I called today, I was once again met with a representative who was apologetic, but couldn't reach [redacted], who assured me that he would forward my information to[redacted] and that[redacted] would get back to me. Thusfar, this has not happened for me.Moreover, it has happened more than once that, in verifying my phone number, they have quoted me a phone number that is entirely dissimilar than my previous or current phone number.The work done is unsatisfactory and must be redone - the baseboards are off by as much as an inch at the mitered corners, the nails have not been covered, in places the nails stick out of the baseboard, and there are unpainted sections above the baseboard that are quite obvious.Desired SettlementI want the work completed in a satisfactory manner, as promised by [redacted]. Alternatively, I would be happy for Advanta Clean to fund the repairs to be done by an outside company.
