paid for 4 cords of seasoned wood. Received 4 cords of very unseasoned wood. It would not even burn. Contacted company, owner never called back. We paid [redacted] for 4 cords of wood. The evening we received the wood we tried to burn it. It would not. We contact the company and they said the wood was wet and to let it dry in the house for a day. We took some of the wood in the house and let it dry for two days. It still would not burn. We contacted the copany again and they told us again to let it sit. Each time we contacted the company we asked for the owner to call us back. We wanted to speak with him directly about the wood. He never returned the call. It has been about a month and we have had some of the wood drying out in the house. It still will not burn. Desired SettlementWe would like to get our money back or have our wood replaced with wood that will burn. Business Response When inquiring about purchasing a load of wood, Our office staff specifically told him the wood had been seasoned in TREE LENGTH, and that we were now cutting and splitting the firewood as the orders came in. Our office staff was very clear in explaining that to [redacted] before he placed his order, as well as explaining the wood may need some extra care before burning if he intended on burning right away. Furthermore, it seems as though [redacted] may want to have his chimney checked to make sure its functioning properly. Advantage Enterprises Inc, does not guarantee the moisture content of its firewood, or advertise or imply a specific, or dry moisture content. We strongly recommend firewood customers purchase their wood by end of July for the upcoming heating season to ensure the wood burns to their satisfaction, as well as having the chimney inspected to make sure it is properly working. [redacted] spoke directly with our office staff who was truthful in explaining about the product he was inquiring about.

I ordered and paid for 2 cords of seasoned hardwood cut, split and delivered. I received 2 cords of green (unseasoned) hardwood cut, split and deliverI ordered 2 cords of seasoned hardwood from Advantage Enterprise and it was delivered October 26, 2013. I paid [redacted] per cord plus some fee of [redacted] for a total of [redacted] was the going rate for seasoned wood in October.)I had it delivered to [redacted] A single family house that my [redacted] and I would be renting in November. After moving in on the 18th we tryed to burn the wood in the fireplace and it was (and still is)hard to start, once we got it to burn it would sizzle and pop. So I called Advantage Ent. to complain. I spoke with [redacted] and she said she would give my message to the[redacted], and he should call me back. I waited a few days then called them back. I was told to try back around 3 pm. to catch him. Well I did call and finally spoke to [redacted] and he basically told me there was nothing he could do. I was disapointed with his answer. After continuing to burn the green wood, with the help of Red Stone Eco-fuel logs we had to buy at Tractor supply we were very frustrated with the results of the wood. So I called Advantage Ent. again and was told by [redacted] that the[redacted] told her to tell me that there was nothing he could do. That is when I suggested compensation for the hassle of trying to burn green wood. Again my call was not returned.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of[redacted] a cord for a total of [redacted] for the incorrect product I was sold.Business Response We are sorry to hear that [redacted] is having a hard time burning the firewood to his satisfaction. We were very clear when he purchased the wood, that the wood was tree length form and we were cutting and splitting the wood as the orders came in. When [redacted] called us, our office staff tried to give him some advice on how to burn wood. When he called again, I spent almost a half hour trying to educate [redacted] on how to store the wood and prepare the wood to help burn to his satisfaction, Unlike woodstoves, fireplaces require a very dry wood split on the small side to maximize burning. I explained to [redacted] that we sell thousands of cords of wood and our repeat customers know to order their wood at least by July, for the up coming heating season, and that unlike home heating oil or propane, wood needs to be stored properly, stacked, chimneys may need cleaning Etc, Etc. We also suggested to buy the wood 6 months to a year in advance, to ensure hassle free burning. We do not advertise DRY wood, and or guarentee a specific moisture contentFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No we are not satified. The add currently placed on [redacted] says what the [redacted] states in his response. However in October when we were shopping for wood the ad said the wood was "seasoned wood". Not the tree links...etc. We moved to our new home in November expecting to have seasoned firewood to burn in our new home for the winter and all it has been is a money pit trying to get this wood to burn buying additional wood products to get us through the winter. We believe we are asking a fair amount to settle this issue. I did have the conversation with the [redacted] as he stated and I have tried everything he has asked and it still isn't working.Final Business Response We are sorry that your firewood is not burning to your satisfaction. We have been selling firewood for over twenty years to thousands of home[redacted]s, every now and then we have to help educate home[redacted]s how to store their wood properly, and offer some tips to make sure they have the proper draft. We are very disappointed that the home[redacted] is blaming our company for their mistakes. The facts remain, we sold two Full cords of seasoned hardwood when we said we were going to. What you do with the wood after delivery is not our business. You may want to invest in a moisture meter to test the wood in future deliveries, if you require a specific moisture content. You may also want to discuss moisture content with the supplier prior to your purchase or perhaps try the kiln dry wood products. Our company has held up our side of the deal.
