Advantage Home Builders, Inc. Reviews (8)

It is my understanding that this owner has been in contact with our warranty *** and these issues have been resolved or in the process of being completed. Thanks, *** ***

Mrand Mrs*** wrote a contract with Advantage Home Builders the first week of December and I signed the contract on 12/3/14. We did not get a start letter from their bank until 12/08/ The start letter I received noted that they had a home to sell and close to qualify for
the new home they wrote a contract on. The agent assured me that their current home would sell quickly and that we should move forward with the new home process and we didI was told a totally different story from our agent when it comes to what happen at our modelAll I know is the cancellation was written on 1/07/by our agent but was not signed by the ***s until 1/31/They made a note that the reason for the cancellation was (There has been delays due to the condition of the sale of our homeWe are concerned of the build process will not start before our house is closed on and we need for the process to move faster do to our house has a contract on it.) Mrs*** was still directing us on house plan changes up until 1/27/15. A check was cut on 2/13/for $and mailed out earlier this week to the ***s. Sincerely, *** ***PresidentAdvantage Home Builders

I am rejecting this response because:
If there was nothing wrong with my ceiling then why did they send some people out to fix it and then they tell me the way they are trying to fix it is the wrong way and the only way to fix it is to tear it all down and start it all over again and do it the right way.All they are trying to do is save money cause they messed up and are not even using the same people anymore who put in my ceiling. If I had known it was going to turn out the way it did I would have never done it.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1.  9/10/2015.  We were...

contacted by the Painter and Warranty [redacted]. Both inspected out concerns and it was agreed "all" items noted in our complaint needed repair. In particular, [redacted] inspected the damaged flooring, took pictures, and said it would be repaired. I specifically asked for verification that our issues were valid and was assured by [redacted] they were and would be remedied. Subsequently, the Painting Contractor contacted us and scheduled the painting to be completed on 9/14-15. [redacted] explained he needed to get the flooring detail as we have no record of manufacturer or style.2.  9/14/2015.  Painting Contractor reviewed the work to be completed with me and said they would take care of it. He assigned two painters, one completed the ceiling and porch railings (this work was done in a professional manner and acceptable to us). The other painter worked on the rear door entry and frame, Grill patio to include mini blind insert. "No work was done on the Front door and frame. Not sure if the Grill patio Door is finished as the masking tape was left on the door knob and lock. Both painters left without saying anything further to us. 3.  9/22/2015.  Please note the following e-mail:On Sep 22, 2015 7:34 AM, [redacted]> wrote:Good morning [redacted].[redacted] and his painters were here last Monday morning. Wed 9/23/2015 11:50 AMMr. [redacted], I will follow up with the painter and send the repair for the hardwood today. I am still playing catch-up. [redacted] 9/24/2015  Spoke with [redacted] who said he would follow up with Painters. While we have been waiting to have our doors finished, the painter has been working two houses from us. And, he finished painting their front door. We never received any follow up from the Painting Contractor.9/29/2015. No further contact from Warranty [redacted] or Painting Contractor. As of this date it has been 102 day since we closed and 43 days since we submitted the "60 Day Checklist". Please note virtually all these issues were known to the Building Site [redacted] from either the day of the closing or shortly thereafter.
