Tell us why here..[redacted] requested and purchased two engines on March 8, 2016.  One was for a 2012 GTI and the second was for a 2007 Durango.  We delivered the engines as a courtesy at no charge.  Upon the arrival of my delivery truck, [redacted] employee dropped the...

Durango motor from the back of my delivery truck because they didn’t properly attach the chain to the engine.  After a call from my employee and another call from an adjacent garage from [redacted] shop, I contacted him about the incident. He called me back later and said that it was our fault because our truck (a standard flatbed delivery truck) was too tall.  This isn’t even the engine in question.  This just sets the stage for the next call I get fourteen days later on March 28, 2016.  He calls me and says the GTI engine is broken, so I make the drive with my mechanic to see what the problem is.  Upon inspection of the engine, there is no crack in it.  There is a gaping ¾” to 1” void by the timing cover and oil cooler area  where the engine mount, alternator and A/C compressor mount, all of which were good on the vehicle I have in stock.  When I purchase a vehicle it is inventoried and inspected, dismantled and inspected by my dismantler, and when in pieces re-inspected by my inventory agent and placed in location.  When a part is sold it is re-inspected again before shipping or delivering.  There was no damage on this engine at all.  While I am sorry [redacted] is having issues with the engine for the GTI, he needs to take responsibility for his or his employee’s work ethics, skills and abilities. We take pride in the work we do and the quality we provide in doing so.  We strive to have all customers pleased with their purchases and do return business with us.  Internal problems such as worn rings, smoking, etc. cannot be seen with a visual inspection.  Broken and gaping voids in the block with oil pouring out certainly can be seen.[redacted] claim is false and groundless.  In all of the years I have been in business I have never had a claim with the Revdex.com.  In my opinion, during handling or installation something got dropped or hung up and went horribly wrong on the lift, evident from scarring on the right rail of the GTI, which I have pictures of.  The block damage with the timing cover pushed into the balancer, etc. is evidence of that or some other mishap in [redacted] shop.In closing, the following is printed on the back of every invoice:“Buyer affirms that before he has entered in this agreement, Seller requested that he examine the parts or merchandise, to ascertain whether there were defects therein; that Seller afforded to buyer an adequate opportunity to make such examination before he entered into this agreement and that he has examined the goods as fully as he desires for the purpose of determining whether there are defects.” Respectfully, [redacted]Respectfully,[redacted].
