to the priceShe did say that she would need to contact work while she was awayI Informed her that while I was in the *** *** I did not use the internet but that my boss did and had difficultiesAt that point my boss came over to my desk and informed her (again) that the internet service in the *** *** is not that good and further told her that he stayed at a Star property and had trouble connectingHe also told her what he had to do to get onlineShe did not tell us that she would need to be connected on a daily basis and that that was a very important featureIf she had I would have advised her to go to a different destinationIn fact, she acted at that point as if it was no big dealAs far as the other problems she says she had, I know nothing about what happened at the desk when she went and who she talked to., but her paperwork included a 24hr customer service help lineShe could have called them at any time and changed her hotelI will say that the people at the hotels in the Caribbean rarely do anything as quickly as we expect here in the United StatesShe insisted on booking the *** Land tour even though I advised her to wait till she arrived and book it there for the specific date she wantedShe did not want to waitShe also did not have a passport for her daughter even though she told me she did, nor did she provide the numbers and expiration dates as requestedSo her reservations had to be rebooked and re-arranged at the last minute and she went days later than she was supposed to goIf she had travelled when she was supposed to she might not have had a problem with the *** Land excursionAs it is they refunded her for the cost of the excursionIf she has further complaints, she should be addressing them to the the tour operator for them to research the situation and negotiate an agreement with/for herSincerely, Alaine HTravel Consultant

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Unfortunately, their response is filled with outright lies.   I chose to use an agency in order to avoid all of the things that ultimately happened to us. My daughter and I were never told that it was almost impossible to connect to the internet while staying at the hotel.  Re: [redacted] Land - I did not insist on booking the [redacted] Land tour ahead of time. In fact, Alaine told me that if I booked it with her, we could wait and choose which day we wanted to go once we arrived in [redacted]. RE: Passports - Alaine NEVER asked for our passport numbers or expiration dates.  In fact, when my daughter realized her passport was expired, and I spoke to Michael (the owner) he said that this had already happened to another one of their clients this year and and that they were going to change their policy and require this information prior to booking anybody for a trip!  (I wasn't even asking for any compensation for this issue, although I due feel that the agency was negligent in this area). I was asking  only to be reimbursed for the Hotel costs (in trying to be fair) however everybody (including other travel agents) since then has said that I should be asking for more. Regards,
