When I place the order on AdvanTech Sterilizers website it shows that the products are in stock (there is no note anywhere saying it's out of stock or back order) it allows you to keep adding number of product I wanted to purchase. My order number is #*** with the amount of $955.18. There are these following problems with this dishonest company:
1. As soon as I have made the payment of the full amount $955.18 - first my order immediately became "on hold"; Second a side note was added AFTER on my order about the 20% cancellation fee. I called and spoke to their unprofessional customer service Olivia and was told the notes of notes cancellation fee and out of stocks has been already there (apparently the have added these notes on their website as you can see but NOT when I made the purchase). Olivia disregard of my concerns but only kept mentioning about the 20% cancellation fee that she wants to collect from me without me saying if I would like to continue with the cancellation. That makes me feel it isn't right. Is that how they make money from not providing orders and charging the full price before even confirming if they have the stock ready?
I have screenshots of the page AT THE TIME WHEN I MADE the purchases - which can show that there is no notes when I made the purchase. I do not understand how they are trying to arguing with legit evidence like this.
2. This company kept adding "update/note" onto my order status - on hold for 3 times - each time with delay of 2-4 weeks. When I asked when should I be expecting the order - Olivia told me there is no end date. I cannot see they handle and protect customer's rights in an appropriate ways. *** In addition, their advertisements are surely misleading an dishonest.
3. Shipping cost - It is clear on their website stating FREE SHIPPING for order over $300. My order was $879.60 but they still automatically charged the shipping cost of $8.95 and refused to refund the shipping cost. Olivia again tried to explain. She said it is the website error and they will refund the shipping cost in a few days to 1 week back to my method of payment - Obviously there is no refund issued.
4. It shows $955.18 on my method of payment but on AdvancTech Sterilize website it shows my payment was $995.17
5. I have googled and talked to a few people - they had exactly the same experiences as I did. I am strongly in the position on following up with a third part if no satisfying resolution is provided. And will definitely let the public know.

This customer ordered a large amount of masks from our website. We clearly stated that the masks were not in stock and would be estimated 2-4 weeks for delivery due to the Coronavirus worldwide mask shortage. We made it clear that we have these masks on order for them and any order cancellation would be subject to a 20% fee as we will be getting charged that from our vendor. This customer decided that they could not wait the full 4 weeks and demanded all money be refunded. Rather then fight with them (I believe we have a very strong leg to stand on) we have gone ahead and refunded the money. We are a small business that serves the medical and dental industry. We did not advertise that we have masks for sale. We suddenly got bombarded with hundreds of orders overnight. We have masks on order but we need to wait for them to arrive. We do not appreciate pushy people placing huge orders and then cancelling their orders after we have ordered the product for them and then spreading negative reviews about our company online. I think you know what kind of people these are. They are not our normal customers

I am sure I am not the first or only customer had been into this situation with this company. Firstly, AdvanTech Sterilizers website did not show "out of stock" or "back order" on their website instead they let customers keep adding order and take the full payment without provide accurate information of shipping, stock availability and wait time. I saw a side note of 20% restocking fee will be charged if I cancel my order at any time was added onto my order status soon after the full payment of $921.29 was taken. Immediately I felt it isn't right but it was late at night when my order was placed. So I called AdvanTech Sterilizers right at their opening time to discuss. A rude staff named Olivia spoke to me and said she cannot help and she is very busy and she gave me 2 options: to wait for the order or to cancel and pay the 20% restocking fee. When I asked Olivia when should I be expecting the order (at least a time frame i.e. 2 weeks - 2 years?!) she told me "I cannot predict the future!".
She then mentioned about how the note of the "20% restocking fee" and "out of stock" been ALWAYS on their website SINCE JANUARY this year - which is not true. As a cautious consumer, I have screenshots showing no notes were on there, as well out of curiosity, I went back to the website everyday to check - I realized the notes she was talking about were note added even until middle of February (I assume it was because more and more consumers had contacted them and they refused to refund so they added the notes AFTER the facts). This is unacceptable.
Aside from the horrible customer service, the trust worthy of this company is in huge doubt.
"ZONE 1 – $8.95 or FREE SHIPPING IN ZONE 1 WITH $300 MINIMUM ORDER" is stated under the "Shipping & Return policies" but I was being charged the shipping fee of $8.95 and my order was $921.29. I called Olivia again and inquired about the refund she said she is aware of it *** without apologizing instead she said I should be patience to wait for the refund (which I was not even provided any information about the refund). She said that the shipping cost will be refunded within 2 weeks and she is the only one who handles order so she will be busy and cannot guarantee of the refund process time. I waited for more than 3 weeks, and email Olivia and she replied "We will do the refund adjustment at the time of Shipping. I have informed you of this previously." --- I declare I have not been told that. Every time the information given was given, despite in an argumentative and impolite way.
Very disappointingly, I have not heard a business would not like to keep their customers this way: "If you are having no problem ordering from others we encourage you to do so. As informed previously there will be a 20% restocking fee for all cancellation."
There have been not resolutions after contacting her for numerous times.
I would still want my products but now I feel unsafe and very uncomfortable to continue any business with this company.

I am concerned with sales issue, refund issue and customer services issue of the company.

I placed two orders through the company's website. Before I placed those orders, there was no indication on the order page / confirmation page that any cancellation will be subjected to 20% restocking fee. The restocking fee was also not mentioned on the email confirmations I received either. However 2 days after my orders, I received an email stating: " The following note has been added to your order: The back order wait time is approximately 3 – 4 weeks. Any Cancellations will have a 20% restocking fee. Thank you for your patience.". The 20% restocking fee is clearly not something I agreed to before entering into the purchase. After over 3 weeks past my order date, there is no sign when the products could be delivered (subsequently I learnt that there would be further 2-3 weeks delay). I contacted the company and enquire about order cancellation. I particularly requested for a full refund as I don't think I should be subjected to the 20% restocking fee. However, the customer service representative Olivia went ahead to cancel one of my orders and issued a 80% refund even though I clearly indicated I am not agreeing to such arrangement. The customer service was horrible. I requested to speak to the company owner, Keri responded to me. I raised my concerns about the restocking fee which was not disclosed to me before I ordered, and on top of that I also quoted section 49 and 50 of Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act which indicated I should be entitled to full refund in the situation if the products could not be delivered within 30 days. Despite my effort to lay out all the facts to Keri, he replied with nonsenses, even indicating my online purchase was "not a contract that we signed" as an attempt to not comply with the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. Keri refused to issue a full refund and asked me to go ahead to complaint with Consumer Protection Canada. This is again horrible customer service and a complete waste of my time. Due to losing faith of the company and also having significant doubt when the products could be delivered, I requested for cancellation of my second order, which I did not hear back from the company.

This customer has been refunded in full for both orders on Feb 26 2020

I ordered 6 boxes of *** Surgical Mask with Ties from Advantech online on Feb 5. When I ordered the item, they said item was in stock and didn't stipulate a 20% restocking fee for order cancellation. I received an email from the company on Feb 7 that a note has been added to my order that 'The back order wait time is approximately 2 – 4 weeks. Any Cancellations will have a 20% restocking fee". I emailed them immediately that when I ordered there wasn't any stipulation of 20% restocking but I didn't cancel the order as I still hope to get the masks ***. On Feb 24, I received an email from the company again that the delivery would further be postponed by weeks. It's pointless to continue to wait and the arbitrary addition of the restocking fee is dishonest.

I am rejecting this response because: what the company claimed in the response is totally incorrect. When I ordered the items, they didn't say that the goods are out of stocks nor they mentioned about the restocking fee. Unfortunately I didn't capture a screenshot for it.

I appreciate Revdex.com's help in getting me a full refund. No follow up is required. I would forever blacklist this company for its dishonesty and poor customer service.
