removed the client stated that she noticed that 2 1/2 Travertine floor tiles were scratched and that she, "only assumes it was from the glass shower doors being removed". I told the client that we would work with her to remedy the 2 1/2 tiles that were scratched, even though we did not know for sure how the tiles were scratched, in order to make the client happy and preserve our good name. The client then received a bid that said the tiles were cracked, not scratched and that the number of tiles increased drastically from when she originally showed me the scratches. At this point I felt like we were getting taken advantage of and decided to offer the client $500 to rectify the situation how ever she felt appropriate. I was afraid to send any of our contractors back into the home with fear that she would try and place blame on something else given the fact that she was threatening to sue us and the entire situation changed drastically from when it was originally brought to our attention. The client apparently did not like my offer and never returned my email, but instead wrote to you. Our company prides itself on its good name. We live in the same community we work in and run into our clients all the time. However, this was a situation that we felt the client was never going to be happy with what ever we did and that we were getting taken advantage of. The offer of $500 was fair in our eyes given the situation and was what we felt was the right thing to do. I am assuming the client did not agree since she wrote to you instead.
