Complainant did not return keys to us for days past the declared date to vacate which is an undeniable factComplainant's reason for not returning keys (we never called her to schedule a move out inspection), have no bearing on her ability to return keysThe purpose of the move out inspection is to document the condition of the unit to dispute any repair/cleaning charges to the security deposit (if any)The move out inspection is not a prerequisite to returning keys, nor is there any language on the document that Complainant signed that can be interpreted that keys can only be returned contingent upon this inspection
If Complainant was "puzzled" as to why there no contact was made with regards to the move out inspection, why did Complainant not reach out to us to find out why the Inspection was not scheduled? Typically the Move Out Inspection is the most important part of the move out process as this inspection is what determines the repair/cleaning charges that will be deducted from the security depositThis brings into question: did the Complainant actually move out on the declared day? How can we know for sure? We never received the notice, the Complainant never reached out to us when we failed to schedule a Move Out InspectionThe Complainant claims to have vacated on September 30th, with no Move Out Inspection and did not surrender the keys
We made no deductions against Complainant's security deposit for any repairs/cleaningThe deductions were all related to Complainant's continued legal possession of the unit for additional days past her declared move out date

The "business" fails to acknowledge that they were not provided with the 30-day notice by their incompetent fax serviceThe copy attached is a copy that I had to send them via emailThey said that they were going to honor the notice after they received my copy, which was accompanied with the fax transmittal sheet showing when and what time the fax went through, on July at 6:32amBut they still have the audacity to suggest that I did not move out on the declared dayThey wrongly state September as the vacate day, they can't even get that rightThe vacate day was July Of course they made no deductions for repairs/cleaning because I had been waiting a whole year for maintenance work to be done that was never fulfilledAgain, I could have locked the doorknob that was broken and left the keys in the apartment, but anyone could have just pushed the door open and they would have ended up with squatters or the drug addicts could have had a drug den set upSince they have consistently shown that they can't get things done in a timely manner, I automatically assumed that they would eventually reach out to me when they were readyBeing busy with my move, I lost track of time and was ready to reach out to them when they finally reached out to me regarding the rentDoes this happen to all tenants that are moving out? Is this how they get over on them? Do they take advantage of their incompetent fax service not working properly so that they can charge people additional funds? If this was a unique situation, they should not fault me and take advantage of me when I've had to endure the incompetence of the entire "business" since August Again, they are not owning up to their faulty service, which I should not have to pay for

Our "incompetent" 3rd party fax service is efaxIt is the largest, most reliable internet faxing service with over million active usersIt is more likely that the problem with transmitting the fax is with the sender, rather than the receiver (efax)
That is all irrelevant anyways because the complainant signed a document acknowledging that if keys are not returned, then the resident still maintains possessionNothing on that document that provides an exception to returning keysThere is nothing to imply that keys can only be returned at the move out inspection
The reality is that this is not an issue for the Revdex.com, but rather an issue for small claims courtIf the complainant is so sure she is correct, let a judge decide

After providing the confirmation transmittal fax report, along with the 30-day notice, the "business" honored it since they failed to receive the faxI had my proof of what day and what time the fax was transmitted successfullyAfter the "business" stated that they HONORED it, do you think I would have MAILED in the keys if I knew they would try to handle this transaction unprofessionally? It was not my fault their "EFAX" does not work properlyThat issue is on their endI should not have to pay for itThe "business" is very shadyThey need to own up to their mistakes and also fix that bug infested apartment
Very dishonest IMHO. Took money forYEARS to store a car at a garage they chose. Then when the garage discontinued their relationship with Advent, they did not notify customer; continued collecting rent; and then refused to help the customer get his car back. Irresponsible. Poor service. Questionable ethics I believe. Would NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGSIN or recommend them to anyone.
