I have read the response and Mrs M [redacted] is correct, we have not repaired any sinkholes in the front yard, I was mistaken I had the wrong job in front of me, I apologizeAs far as the sinkholes go I did not have knowledge of them or I would have had them repaired ASAP, we are bond by our contract to repair anything that is wrong with the original install As far as the rebate goes I am still trying to research the agreement that was discussed between customer and sales rep I advised Mrs M [redacted] if I can get in writing the agreement we would honor it

On 03/01/Turf Exchange installed sqft on artificial turf at the J [redacted] residenceOn 03/04/I spoke with Mr J [redacted] he expressed there was an electrical issue with his sprinklersOn 03/05/Our site supervisor for that job Andy went to the residence, checked everything and noticed that the sprinkler box was exposed and had no cover, at which time he explained to Mr J [redacted] that was probably the cause of the short, Mr J***s agreed, we told him if he had an electrician come out and find evidence we did the damage we would take care of it.The following week we received another call from Mr J [redacted] that his pool light was no longer working and that his pool guys said we caused the outage. We than coordinated with the new tenant and had our foreman Anthony (supervisor) go out and do another check, he like the first time stated he felt that the short came from the exposed sprinkler box, at this time the tenant stated there were also electrical problems in the house Our foreman Anthony was also present for the dig out of the ground prior to the turf being laid and stated there were no exposed wires at that time. Finally after having trouble coordinating availability of the tenant we were able to get an electrician our to the residence April 8th Upon inspection of the property the electrician states there are many electrical problems however none are a result of our install All areas around the turf have power Pictures were taken and show many problems exist The customer Mrs J [redacted] has been provided with the pictures and explanations of what is going on in each picture I have had no response yet from Mr or Mrs J [redacted] yet, however I hope that this can be all cleared up as soon as possible We did everything in our power to remedy the situation.--

The rebate could not be completed due to the fact Ms Mancuso did not have living grass prior to the install. The LADWP does require the grass to be living and green to qualify, it was my understanding that this had be relayed to the customer via the sales rep. I did look further and look... into it. I called Ms Mancuso 06/22/16 and left a message. We have had issue with our phones in the last week I have not received any other messages from her. I have attached a picture of her yard showing the brown/yellow grass.

Complaint Description:
I reserved a boat with *** on 7/1/via telephone for the dates of 7/12-7/14, she asked for all my info including credit card, but never sent me anything with a contract stating what we discussed via mail or emailI spoke with *** on 7/about the boat I had rented and requested if there was a larger boat available, she stated no and I said ok we will remain with the 22ftSea FoxShe called and left me a message on my phone on 7/@ 5:32pm stating she has a customer that would like to return a 24ft Everglades for 7/13-14, would we like to trade out for a bigger boat on those days? I agreed to trade out that boat for the 22ft sea fox on those dates, but we would remain with the ft sea fox on 7/12, she said ok, we will deliver the 22ft sea fox on 7/12, we make calls at and start delivering shortly there afterAt I called *** and asked about the charge to my card being $795, when the discussed cost on the phone between us was $$was the cost of the 24ft everglades for days and we were going to only have it and the 22ft for day, when she did the math she said she would take the price of the boats for days divide them by to get a "daily rate" and just charge us day for the ft, at that price which was $and days of the ftat that price which was $so already saying $she was over charging meShe said the other charges above the $we agreed on was for taxes and her guys messed it upThen came the arrival of the boat, the delivery of the boat was at approx d/t rain and was not the boat that I had reserved over the phoneIt was a 23ft CenturyBefore the guy ever made it off the boat I asked "what is this?' He said the boat you reservedI said No I reserved a 22ft sea fox and I am not accepting this boatHe said what you don't like this oneI said no and I want to talk to *** before I will sign anythingI attempted to call her with no success and the delivery guy called her multiple times and was able to finally contact her, they discussed me being upset for the wrong boat being delivered, she said I have to take that boat or have no boat but I will be charged no matter whatI agreed to accept that boat if I was going to be charged with an agreement made with them that the 24ft everglades boat be made available to us at 5pm that evening when it is returnedI signed the credit card receipt and another piece of paper, having no experience in renting boats had my husband go over the safety of the boat with the gentleman and I had walked away with the kidsBefore returning at 5pm with the 23ftboat we stopped at the marina to fill up with gas, as I was afraid of unnecessary charges due to the inconsistency of this placeWe showed the receipt to the man who was there to assist us with return and pick up and he said okI asked were we supposed to do that and he said it doesn't matter we can do it or you can do it either way, My husband asked is it cheaper to let them do it, or us to do itHe again said it doesn't really matter, to be honest I don't even know what the other marinas chargeOn 7/I received a phone call from a boy who wanted to come and pick up the boat and said he would be there at 4:30, nothing about gassing the boat up before he gets there or we will be chargedOn 7/I noticed a pending charge for $from them on my cardWhen I called *** to ask about it, she stated it was for the gallons of gas for 23ft boat (which we had already filled up and showed a receipt), the gas filled on the 24ft boat and a $surcharge for them having to fill up the boatI asked her to remove the 8gallons of gas charge because that was not true and also remove the $surcharge since that was not explained to usNever once did we even have visual contact with ***, nor do I have an itemized receipt for anythingOn 7/I called *** asking for these receipts and the contract I supposedly signed she said she will fax them on 7/
THIS WAS NEVER RESOLVED...TO THIS DAY, I STILL DIDN'T GET MY MONEY BACK FROM THEM OR THE RECEIPT! THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER PLACES TO RENT BOATS, DON'T RENT FROM THEM!!!!!

I have spoken to M*** on several occasions First I would like to address the sinkhole issues, we did have a crew come out as soon as we were made aware of the issue and redo the whole backyard which Mr and Mrs M*** signed off on I am unaware of any surgery required as a
result of such said sinkholes As far as the rebate goes, there is nothing in the file to indicate that there was a $rebate coming back to them I explained to Mrs M*** several times that I would try my best to find anything that referenced such and that if I did find that we could comply with the contract agreement Mrs M*** has not produced any paperwork either to support the claim We do value all our customers and do our best to address any and all issues that come up I still am in the process of trying to retrieve old correspondence from previous employees that may have indicated such claim

There was an email sent on 04/18/to Mrs J***s as she is the one I have been corresponding with There was a delay in getting them to her because we had to reformat the pictures because she stated she could not view PDF and did not have adobe I have sent the original email and the link to Mr J***s this morning in hopes he can open them and see the issues that exisit I have also offered to have our project manager call him and go step by step over the pictures to explain our findings

I am rejecting this response because the photos and documentation they provided has absolutely nothing to do with the electrical issue which they damaged during installation of the turf.  The electrical  wires damaged are to the sprinklers in the backyard.  Turf Exchange refuses to take responsibility.  I am now going to have an electrician repair the damage done by the Turf Exchange installers, which will also more than likely require that some of the turf be removed in order to make the necessary repairs.  Following repair, I plan to submit the receipts for reimbursement along with requesting Turf Exchange return to redo the turf that may be disturbed in the repair process.

Complaint: 11519696
I am rejecting this response because:   The salesman K[redacted] assured me that Turf Exchange had pictures of my yard they were going  to summit to the DWP that showed the grass when it was greener.  The type of grass that I had would always turn yellow in the fall/winter   The grass is similar to Zoysia/Rye grass. It would always green up in the spring. I did curtail watering to two days a week to conserve water because of the drought. This was in compliance with the DWP. I came into the contract period with Turf exchange late October whenthe grass had turned yellow. I would not have agreed to switch out the grass for the artificial turf if I was not able to get the rebate from the DWP. I was assured that I qualified for the rebate. I am a widow on a fixed income and the rebate would have allowed me to help defray some of the cost of the turf.  Under the circumstances I feel that the salesman K[redacted] and Turf Exchange mislead me to attain a sale. It would be gratefully appreciated if Turf Exchange would resubmit my application with the picturespromised to the DWP for the rebate.

I am rejecting this response because the electrical malfunction issue has not been resolved.  Turf Exchange has not provided the photos and details of their supposed findings.  My frustration over this matter continues to escalate and I stand by my complaint of their incompetence and poor execution.Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: This is a complete fabrication as nobody had ever responded to my complaint for the sinkholes in my front yard and not the back nor was anything ever replaced since my original installation. As for the rebate I have my corresponding emails from the salesman in regards to my contract and rebate to be given in addition to a snap shot of the company's advertisement for rebates from Turf Exchange. Lastly, I have never personally spoken to the owner Mitch Katz regarding this matter and have only spoken to his administrative secretary as he refuses to speak with me or my husband. Due to this non response or resolution we have seeked legal counsel regarding this matter.
