Mortgage Modification scam- beware. *** Rogers the employee told me I could have my mortgage payment reduced starting with a trial paying $950 a month for 4 months. Told me to post date a check for 4/1/2020. She told me they worked with my mortgage company. She provided documents as if they worked directly with Shellpoint Mortgage & PHH Mortgage. However, she told me to post date a check for $950 on 4/1/2020 payable to FCG/AMS. I did. I even emailed pay stubs, my DL, & mortgage statement. I thought about it overnight and decided to cancel. They would have received 4 payments at $950 each to make it appear the money would go to my mortgage company. I cancelled the check I wrote and paid my bank's fee or $33.00 and cancelled my checking account because they had the routing and account number. I spoke to my mortgage company & they do their own loan modification & do not work with FCG / AMS. It is a scam. I could have been out of $3,800 if I went through this bogus deal!
