I want to pass on my experience with "A.D.W Mainland Heat and AC" installing a replacement Hot Water tank in my house just recentlyFirst off I'd like to say that the actual Installer of my hot water tank was a great guyPleasant and friendlyThe guy working the phones in the office, not so muchIn my opinion there was a definite lack of communication and poor customer serviceHere's my experienceI called around and got several quotes first and decided on Mainland to do the jobAfter the install was done, I found out the final charges were more than what was quoted due to a few small pieces of tubing that were added(There was no communication about this possibility during the quote)I don't even mention it because the charges were small and it is the nature of a quote sometimesNext, I find out that I cannot pay with a credit card (There was no communication about this when quoted or scheduling the appointment)Luckily I had a spare cheque book in the house, cause I sure didn't have the cash in my walletTurns out the new tank would supply me with only a minute shower before getting lukewarmI called them to repair/replace unitI took some more time off work to have an inspector come to see if the hot and cold lines were reversed (could have taken a picture and sent it via email just as easily)He said the office would contact me to schedule a time/dayI waited a few days for them to call me, but nothing, so I called to book the appointment (would have been nice not to have to 'chase' them)The day arrives, the installer removes the faulty one and install a new one, all within hourThat's when I find out there is going to be a labour charge! (There was no communication about this during my 'warranty' call or inspection)For replacing the faulty tank that they installed less than a month earlier, they wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars more! So I called the office to discuss this and I was told that "it goes without saying" there would be a labour charge (WOWDefinitely no communication there)!! I'm an easy going guy but that's just crazyAt the very least, you should tell me before doing the work, and let me make a decision if I want to go ahead with it or notDefinitely not AFTER the work has been performedThe office guy starts raising his voice, and the call quickly escalates to a yelling match that's going nowhere so I say goodbye and hang-upI let a few days go by before I call the office back and ask to talk with someone else regarding the subjectI review the situation with this new contact person and we come to an agreement on the price and I send them payment (even though I still felt like I'm getting ripped off)Beware of any company that won't stand behind the products they sellAnd steer clear of ones that don't handle their customers with a level of professionalismIf I were you, I'd stay far away from "A.D.W Mainland Heat and AC"

Meet this company at the Maple Ridge Home show. Alex came out and gave a quote. His team of men came out in July to install and new Furnace and Hot Water Tank. They came back a week later and blew the vents clean. Home show promo. Dave in the Office was Excellent to deal with as well. They Filed our $800 rebate with Fortis. I Totally recommend this company. You wont be sorry if you go with there service. [redacted]
