A&E Audiology Reviews (2)

Review: I get an ad offering a" free hearing test" for the newest tech.So I went to their office and had it.They asked about my insurance and contacted to my insurance and knew that mine only pay $1,500.00 yearly.Since I only need the hearing aid for the left side, they said it will be $1745.00 and I assumed that I will pay $245.00 different. On the day I got the hearing aid, they asked me to pay $275.00 and I did, then I contacted my insurance, was told that I DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THAT AMOUNT.I was also told by my insurance that they(A&E Audiology)belonged to the"Discount Network"and that is the reason the insurance paid them only$1221.00 instead of $1500.00 as my benefit. The insurance also set up a"Conference call" with me and A&E Audiology to verify those information.By that time I told them(my insurance and A&E Audiology)if the A&EAudiology will refund to me $275.00 I will keep the Hearing Aid.If not I will return it back.On the day A&E Audiology wanted me to return, they took the Hearing Aid back and wrote down on the paper that they charged me $62.38 for hearing test and $150.00 for "fitting fee" and only refund$62.17 to me.It was on 10/02nd/2013,1 week later my insurance informed me that they had their money back and ask me to look for another, but til now10/21/2013 I do not have any refung at all. Please help me in this matter.I believe I was rip-off by themPS: When I returned the hearing aid I returned the whole bag so I do not have any proof, except a note from the Audiologist. But you can talk to my insurance to find the true. Here are their information Insurance name :[redacted] Web site : [redacted]Phone : [redacted]My ID [redacted] Thankyou so much for your timeDesired Settlement: Refund. I just want people treat each other honestly.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is in response to the claim submitted by [redacted]. This is an invalid complaint. [redacted] has very limited English speaking skills and therefore we had a lot of difficult communicating with him. His refund check was already mailed to him when he submitted this complaint.

All of our policies are in writing and are explained to the patient at the time of services. We did review these policies with [redacted] and he signed the documents agreeing to our policies. I have attached the documents that clearly state our refund policies and [redacted]’s refund was made well within 30 days.

When [redacted] returned the hearing devices on October 2, 2013, we explained that our accounts payable manager would be issuing a refund check within 30 days. He called our office on October 15 stating he had not received his refund and he was reminded that refunds can take up to 30 days. He asked to speak to the manager and was told she was on vacation and would return October 21. He then called the next day complaining that he has not heard from the manager and was told again, she was out on vacation until October 21 (this clearly demonstrates his lack of understanding due to language issues). On October 21 the manager called the patient to inform him his refund check would be sent out on Tuesday, October 22.

We appreciate your time in looking over the documents and closing this complaint.

Please feel free to call me at ###-###-#### or email me at [redacted] if you need any further information.

Sincerely,
