The vehicle originally came in for a check engine lightThe codes she gave us were P0300, P0301, Pand PPis random multiple misfire, Pis cylinder misfire, Pis cylinder misfire and Pis cruise control vacuum controlThe misfires were repairedNothing was found
wrong with the cruise control this time or at another timeThey talked about no heat from the heater and wanted the thermostat replacedUpon opening the hood we discovered the coolant reservoir was emptyWe found that the water pump was leaking coolant and we did a block test at this time to check for a head gasket leakThe test passedNo combustion gasses were found in the cooling systemThe transmission cooler lines were leaking bad enough that they left a puddle on the shop floorAlso both exhaust manifolds were cracked which leads to a poorly running engineWe replaced spark plugs and new boots on the coil on plug unitsWe replaced the thermostat and the water pumpWe replaced the leaking transmission cooler lines and both exhaust manifoldsAll work was done after the customers verbal authorization over the phoneSome of the parts had to be ordered from out of state so it was a week before it was completedWhen it left our shop it was running great and the heater was producing heatThe original concerns were repairedHad the head gasket issue showed up the first time it was in we would have gladly repaired themWe do not do unnecessary repairsWe do not do any repairs with out prior authorizationAt this time I do not feel a refund is warranted. Yes the vehicle came back for other issues but no problems were found at the timeOnce again we would have made any repairs necessaryIt wasn’t until the last visit a month after original repairs were made that the head gaskets were diagnosedThere were no issues with the head gaskets prior to the last visit
