AE & Sons Pool Plastering

I don't often hire contractors because I find I am too picky. However, I hired AE & Sons to refinish and upgrade our pool. AE & Sons refinished the pool in pebble installed three new water returns (to replace our old in-floor system), installed a new auto leveler, installed a new dedicated suction line for a pool cleaner, and created a new Baja step (lagoon step). They were amazing! First, their quote for everything was about the same as the other two companies for the pebble finish alone. Second, they were FAST (a week start to finish). Third, they were professional. Fourth, Andres took my concerns seriously discussed options and resolutions. I would (and have) recommended them to friends and family and one lady at the DMV.

AE & Sons refinished my pool in April 2014 and they did an outstanding job. [redacted] and his team were a pleasure to deal with. I have a large pool and they finished in under a week, they worked from dawn to dusk, continuously until finished, I didn’t have to track them down like some contractors.

Their bid was extremely competitive and on track, there were a few minor extras but [redacted] was very clear and discussed them with me as we went along (his English is excellent). They left the jobsite clean each day and left it immaculate when they left, they even sent a cleanup guy back and he picked up every little speck left over.

They arrived in a newer truck and used newer equipment which surprised me because I fully expected them to have an old wheezed out truck with beat down equipment, which seems to be the usual for pool refinishers (even the big ones)

The tile workmanship was excellent, nearly perfect, all straight grout lines, all perfectly plumb. The pool finish is one of the best I have ever seen, extremely smooth, no waviness, no roughness, it looks fantastic.

I opted for regular pebble in midnight blue, [redacted] tried to persuade me to do a lighter color but I’m glad I insisted, I absolutely love the color, very classy, deep blue during the day and very dark in the evening, it may indeed be a little dark for most people though. [redacted] added Mother of pearl and blue glass beads and WOW! Does that make a difference, the pool twinkles and sparkles. I think he charged me $80 to add this; most other companies wanted $500-$1000.

I would definitely use AE & Sons again and I highly recommend AE & Sons to anyone refinishing their pool.

He made suggestions on the surface, tile and deck. We chose a quartz blue pool plaster at[redacted]' suggestion with a dark blue pool tile and had a new acrylic deck surface added. We had a tiny bit of delay due to some heavy ran, but they performed the work in a timely fashion and did an excellent job. We love our pool, it looks brand new! We are extremely happy and would recommend this company.

We just had our pool remodeled by Andreas and his team and could not be happier with the results. I have worked with a lot of contractors and have come to expect them to finish late or find some additional charges once work begins, not this time. Andreas did exactly what he promised, even threw in free extras like new drain covers and glass beads and shell pieces in the finish that were not included in the quote. The guys worked from morning to night and left everything cleaned up each night. I got 4 other estimates and he beat them all, most by over 30%. If your are looking for pool resurfacing, this is the company you want to hire.

They did amazing work on both the pool and the pool deck surrounding it, and even added in some small, but noticable touches to the pool steps and seats that we didn't expect. I would recommend them to anyone looking to resurface their pool or decking!
