Been payiny since 2007. Last year I made a claim after a hail storm and next rain showed leaks and it took an extra 2 weeks before their person came and looked at my roof. He said normal wear and tear but he suggested I wait till next good hail storm to file the claim (fishy talk). I repaired what he suggested and it was another year before the hail came and more leaks appeared. I asked the company to send someone different and explained yet they sent the same guy. This time he appeared to have an attitude and then filed it as normal wear and tear even with obvious bebee sized holes, dent on only metal flashing, and less damage to roof where tree coverage protected it. Paperwork came back dening any home roof protectio but covered 30 percent on another roof building that is way older. How do they cover 30% of a roof that is probably 30 years old and not on the home from 2002? And how dare their guy tell me to wait till next hail storm in the first place. I'm a Disabled Veteran of the U.S. Army and this company appears to be lacking intergrity. My wife filed again after another hail storm now where golf ball sized hail struck our roof. They sent a different guy who seemed to agree about hail and they sent him back to take more photos and now its been another 2 weeks. Summer is coming to an end and still no solution. I would think with the money we payed in for the insurance already would be more than twice what the actual cost to replace the shingles are. And before the hail that started the leaks we had never put in for a claim.

[redacted]. The address on the complaint matches the address on the policy, in addition to the same last name.An application was submitted to obtain insurance for their manufactured home. One of the factors included in developing our rates is the use of an insurance score which is obtained from a credit report. Their agent, C M K[redacted], verified they did ask the insured for permission to obtain the reports. Review: The electric awning on my RV broke while I was at a camp site caused by rain. I couldn't get it to retract into the RV so I called [redacted]'s RV service to come out to remove it so I could drive the RV home. They came and removed it and

I paid [redacted]'s RV service 143.60 dollars to remove the awning. I called Aegis insurance company to report the problem and had [redacted]'s RV service fax Aegis Insurance the estimate for the new awning and labor involved (removal of old and installing new) which was 1523.61. Aegis subtracted the 500 dollar deductible from this amount, but Aegis didn't subtract the 143.60, that I already paid for the awning removal, from the 500.00 deductible. Aegis gave me a check for 1023.61. When I called back to explain this to him,([redacted], the agent who handled the claim), he said he worked it into the bill. It didn't make sense. I told him that he ripped me off.

Dear [redacted]:

On August 9th, [redacted] & [redacted] submitted a claim for the awning on their seasonal RV and it was assigned to [redacted] in our office on August 12th.

**. [redacted] left a message for the insureds on August 12th asking them to submit an estimate for the damaged awning from a repair facility. Later that same day, [redacted] from [redacted] RV Service called [redacted] and informed him that he would be faxing over the estimate for the awning in the next few days.

[redacted] received the estimate on August 15th and it was processed on August 16th. I have attached a copy of that estimate for your review.

The estimate listed the material costs for the awning at $1,363.99 and a labor rate of $80.00 per hour for a total of 1.5 hours to replace the awning for a total of $120.00. It also listed a charge of $143.60 that the insured already paid to have the awning removed.

[redacted] added the material cost of $1,363.99 and the labor rate of $120 as well as the tax of $97.61 and got a total of $1581.60 which was $143 less than the total of the estimate submitted by [redacted]'s RV service and which is also the amount of the removal cost.

[redacted] re-wrote the estimate from [redacted] RV Service to apply depreciation in accordance with the policy that the insured purchased. I have also included a copy of that for your review.

On the estimate from [redacted], you will see the first line item is the materials for $1,363.99 less depreciation of $204.59 leaving an actual cash value of $1,159.40.

The second line item is made up of the labor to replace the awning of $120, shop supplies of $3.00 and the removal cost of $143.60 for a total of $266.60. Finally the last item on the estimate is the tax of $97.61.

Based on these figures the replacement cost estimate by [redacted] actually totals $1,728.20 as compared to the estimate by [redacted] RV which only totals $1,724.60 at replacement cost.

Our estimate was actually $3.60 more than the estimate provided by the repair facility.

Should you need any further information on this file please feel free to contact my office.

Sincerely

Dear [redacted]:

We acknowledge the complaint file by **. [redacted] on 10/6/13 for claim 789265. The claim was submitted to our office on 8/2/13. It was then assigned to the local independent adjuster on that same day.

The adjuster inspected the home on 8/5/13 with the insured present. The inspection found no signs of any wind or hail damage to the roof of the home. The roof is approximately 13 years old and showing signs of deterioration from its age. This has caused the roof to leak into several rooms however this policy does not provide coverage for the interior damage unless there is wind/hail damage to the roof itself.

A denial letter was issued to the insured on 8/7/13 explaining we found no wind or hail damage to the roof and the interior damages were not covered.

On 9/10/13 our office received an estimate from [redacted]'s Roofing and spoke with the contractor [redacted] who stated there was definitely hail damage to the roof of this home. We agreed to have the adjuster meet with the contractor to point out the hail damage.

The adjuster met with the contractor on 9/17/13 the marks shown to the adjuster were not hail marks but rather deterioration from aging. The adjuster however did photograph the marks and submitted them to our office for review.

[redacted] reviewed the re-inspection report from the adjuster on 9/19/13 and also agreed that the marks on the roof were not from hail but from aging.

A second denial letter was again issued to the insured on 9/19/13 explaining that our reinspection again found no signs of any wind or haii damage to the roof and we are standing by our denial.

I have attached copies of the adjuster's report and letters sent to the insured for you to review.

Should you need anything further please feel free to contact my office.

Sincerely,
