[redacted] initially enrolled with Aequitas Energy. Inc. (“Aequitas”) on 12/*/2014 on a 12 month fixed rate contract. Pursuant to Conn....

Gen. Stat. §16 245(d) and (g)(1), as amended by PA 14-75; Final Order of November *, 2014, Docket No. [redacted], Aequitas sent a renewal letter on November *, 2015 to [redacted] renewing him on to a 12 month fixed rate effective after his initial contract expired on December **, 2015. Connecticut allows a customer to drop service without incurring a penalty within three days of receiving a renewal letter. [redacted] ended service with Aequitas Energy on 2/**/2016 well after the three day rescission period afforded to him by the above referenced regulation. Aequitas received a drop transaction from the utility on 2/*/2016 stating that [redacted] terminated Aequitas service. On 3/*/2016 Aequitas sent an Early Termination Letter with an invoice reflecting an early termination fee of $50. [redacted] called the Aequitas customer care department to dispute the charge. Customer care advised [redacted] that the fee was correct and reflected the information provided to him in his Renewal Letter.
