AES Corporation

Review: The AES Corporation is an energy corporation that operates out of Virginia but is responsible for the power source in Cameroon, Africa. On a recent visit to Cameroon I was very disappointed with the service. Throughout a two week visit to the country of Cameroon, the electricity consistently failed with no warning and no indication as to when the power would return. Electricity would suddenly turn off and would not return for hours at a time. AES's management of the power in these areas is relatively new and unsatisfactory. The people of Cameroon deserve better, and I am very disappointed that this company is an American based company. Services of this kind would not be tolerated in the U.S. and should not have to be tolerated abroad. Not having electricity lead to the accidental death of four children after their mother had to use a candle to provide light. My fear is that there will be many other deaths involving candles or lanterns being used to provide light.Desired Settlement: I would like to see the performance of this company improved and for this company to be held responsible for its poor performance. If performance of this company cannot be improved I sincerely believe that it should not be in business. Any assistance from the Revdex.com would be greatly appreciated.
