Review: I was attacked and/or around April 15, 2014 and filed a police report that stated, self-defense. I was removed from the establishment and/or around April 14, 2014 because I was told that I was involved in an confrontation. I explained the circumstances and the officer stated that it was self-defense and she was clear of all wrong-doings. I still was instructed to leave and pick up my transcript in two weeks. Financial aid has covered your expenses. I contacted the school in the time allotted and was told that the director will need to sign the transcript before it is release. I stayed in contact with the company and each time an excuse was made in regards to when I can pick up my transcript. Questions continue as in what school, I was attending, they (Aesthetic) will fax the transcript to them. I informed Mr. W[redacted] that I did not have the school fax number and I would like to have a hard copy in hand. Mr. W[redacted] stated that I should pick up the transcript on April 30, 2014 because it will be ready at that time. On and/or around April 30, 2014, I contacted Mr. W[redacted] and informed him that I will pick up the transcript after April 30, 2014 because of my schedule, Mr. W[redacted] informed me that the transcript is not ready because Mrs. Layla do not want to release it. I asked him why and he said that funds were due. I asked that funds were not due months ago, not even weeks ago when I requested my transcript. Mr. Will sated that the school cannot collect anymore monies from external sources (Financial Aid) so Mrs. Layla wants to collect the monies from you.

Financial Aid covered my expenses since February 2013 until I was expel and/or around April 14, 2014. The cause of the dismissal is not my fault and records shows that I was attacked and I was defending myself. I asked to finish my studies because of the trauma that it would have on me and my additional finances. Those went ignored and I was asked to leave and pick up my transcript in two weeks. I have registered with another school and was informed that I could just come back. That is not feasible because funding arrangements has been paid with another company.Desired Settlement: I would like my transcipt/academic records, copy of signed February 2013 contract, Signed Financial Aid documents and any monies due to cover my loss. I was wrongly dismissed and now being held to a different standard from others. I was informed that the school has done such in the pass when individuals try to leave and the school retaliates with such measures.

October 24, 2014I am writing you in regards to complaint #[redacted] filed on 5/2/2014. On April 14, 2014 the filer of this complaint was involved in a physical altercation at our school. According to eyewitness accounts, [redacted] relentlessly taunted, provoked, and eventually pulled the hair of another student. The student then retaliated and a full fight broke out. Mall Security was immediately contacted and [redacted] had to be physically removed from the school by one of the instructors. After being initially removed, [redacted] ran back into the school in order to try and continue the fight with the other student. She was then again removed and left the premises. Based on the accounts of those who witnessed the incident, both students were found accountable and expelled from the school. The Institute has a clear policy in both the catalog and enrollment agreement that states fighting will lead to immediate expulsion.In regards to the tuition, [redacted]'s initial balance was $16,000. She received two loan disbursements in June of 2013 and March of 2014 in the amount of $2,723 each. This brings her balance to $10,554. [redacted] completed 823 hours out of 1500 hours needed to graduate or 54.8%. According to the school's refund policy that is found in both the catalog and the enrollment agreement, zero refund is issued for a student who completes over 50% of the program. Therefore [redacted] is held responsible for the remaining balance of $10,554. Again in accordance with the school's catalog, all student balances must be paid and satisfied before the school will release a transcript of the student's records. With that said, the school will not release [redacted]'s transcript until her account is fully paid.Enclosed with this letter you will find a copy of [redacted]'s signed enrollment agreement, her student ledger, a documented incident report completed by an instructor, and the excerpts from the school catalog that have been discussed.Best regards,Lalla HPresident
