I took my vehicle for service to the business on 9/13/with complaints: (i) the check engine light was on; (ii) the traction control light was on; (iii) the ABS light was onThe service lead recorded my three complaints very clearly in the service requestI was informed that the only problem was a faulty ABS hydraulic control unit, which required replacementI was quoted a price of $for replacement of the ABS unitI specifically inquired why the check engine light was on as well; however, I was told that it was because of the ABS unit
After paying for repair of the ABS unit, I was informed on 9/19/that the check engine light still onI was then informed that the check engine light was on due to a faulty OsensorI was told that repair of the Osensor would cost a minimum of $(for parts), unknown amount for laborIt is clear that the check engine light was on due to multiple reasons including a possibly faulty Osensor as well as possibly due to the AB

I recently purchased a Mazda CX-and I must say that this was the best car buying experience I have ever had Right form the start there was no pressure and it was a purely professional experience throughout The salesman, Craig Milton, was knowledgeable and most enthusiastic concerning my needs and concerns He went through every aspect of the vehicle prior to the test drive and very accommodating to my wife and myself in test driving the vehicle and all the myriad questions we threw at himHe is a very pleasant person which led to a very pleasant experience
The sales manager, Eladio A***, worked some numbers for us also with no pressure and we were able to quickly agree on terms for the purchaseMy wife and I both agreed that the price quoted was a no brainer; we wouldn't get a better deal anywhere else plus the pleasant environment in the dealership throughout the entire time we were there had me sure I didn't want to go anywhere else
The finance analyst, Keith G***, led us through the quickest form preparation and signature cycle I have ever seen at a dealership He ran through all the aftermarket options pleasantly and also with no pressure
I even had a chance to speak with Dave Miller, a vice president in the company, and he was as pleasant as all there I was treated well and I am one that places a lot of consideration on treatmentWe got what we wanted at a price that was more than reasonable and felt, the whole time, they made every effort to give us what we wanted
Oh yes, Craig ran us through the vehicle features in such detail I knew so much about it when I drove it off the lot The ride home was getting the feel of the new car rather than trying to figure out where everything was
I know they are in the business to sell cars and I know that the expectations are the sales team will pump a little sunshine at you but I sensed more honesty that I have ever in a car dealershipI would highly recommend them based on my overall experience plus, I must say, I love the vehicle! Thank you John Hine Mazda personnel!

I had a terrible experience buying a car from John Hine Mazda( Mission Valley)Below is a run down of how badly every thing went and how little they care about the customer at this dealershipTip: Not matter what they tell, you always get your car inspected by a 3rd partyBuy at your own risk
on 6/7/we went to test drive a Ford Fusion at John Hine MazdaAfter the test drive we agreed on a price and I would come back to get a purchase contractThe Salesman Michael W, gave me a purchase order with a wildly different purchase price and devalued trade-inI felt that he was trying to rush me into signing a bad contractHe gave me the wrong documents iI asked for on purposeTried to rush me into signing a contract that he knew was not correctHad to go back to the dealer and ask for the correct documents and would no longer deal with Michael W because of his very sleazy sales tactics. In my brief dealing with the salesman Michael W I felt he was trying to squeeze every dollar out of me he could and it was very uncomfortable
I asked them what kind of inspection they perform on their used cars and was told they did a very comprehensive point inspection of all cars and that my car was in near perfect condition (which was not the case)
On 6/9/took the car to 3rd party for a used car inspection, and came to find significant damage to the splash guard on the undercarriage, which had bolts sheared on and bentUpon a subsequent inspection at the dealership they also came to determine that right rear suspension link was also bent and damage
We took car back to dealership and told them about the damage and was told by Michael T that they would repair the damage to the undercarriage free of charge They said it should take about an hour or so, if they had the partif not they would order the part and car would be ready the next dayWe were given a loaner car
on 6/10/Spoke with Francisco in the service dept he seemed to have no idea about the car or if anyone was working on itHe said he would call me backHad to call him again a few hrs later and he said they would order part today and install next day
6/11/called service dept and spoke with David and was told that they would order part and that I would probably be ready Monday
6/13/called and spoke with Jerry (service manager) and was told that wrong part was sent and that they would re-order and have car ready Tuesday
6/14/called and spoke with David V was told again that wrong part was sent and they would re-order and have car ready
6/15/called and spoke with Francisco in service deptand was told car was readyYay! (Wrong!)
My wife went to go pick up the car and she asked them to put the car on the lift so she could inspect repairsTo her dismay not only was the damaged splash guard NOT replaced it was no even installedThe engine would have been exposed to damage from rocks and road debris if she would have taken them at their word and drove off with the car in that condition
The service tech Francisco told her that it was a miscommunication and that they would have it ready Thursday 6/16/
6/16/received a call from Francisco and was told the car was repaired and ready for pick up again
Wife went to dealership to pick up the car and on inspection found that never replaced the damaged splash guard and just add a few screws to the ones that were missing Finally being ffrom days of either gross incompetence, apathy or a combination of both we decided we would just take the car and at our own expense have it repaired at a different more reputable dealership
6/20/received a call from Adam M the GM and relayed to him the terrible experience we’ve had at his dealershipHe sounded apologetic but not too concerned over what happened, he even defended his salesman actions into misleading us about the purchase contract He said he would talk to all those involved and would call me back the next day
6/25/have not heard back from Adam M (gm)or anyone else from Joh Hine Mazda with an apology or corrective actions they would preform to fix these problems
I feel that at John Hine Mazda (mission Valley) they believe that their bottom line is much more important than customer serviceI would tell anyone that I know or who are reading this review, stay as far away from this dealership as possibleAlso if you do buy a used car from them please do 3rd party inspection before signing anything! Buy at your own risk!

I own a (*** *) white in color it has 106,miles , I took my car to the mechanics and it had a check engine light on so, they ran a diagnostic on it and they found out there was two issues with the vehicle which was the transmission control module, and a hydraulic solenoid they were both covered under warrantyMy mechanic did not know these two part were under warranty so he did change one of the part which was the (hydraulic solenoid) which was covered by the dealer under warrantySo I paid my mechanic $dollors for the part and the laborI called the dealership to ask them if they would pay me for the part that my mechanic charged me for which was $they refuse to reimburse me for the part that's under warrantyAnd I do have all the receipts that my mechanic gave me for proof When I called John hine Mazda of san diego I spoke to *** at the service department, and he told me to call mazda corporat
