since 12-20-The records show no additional activity of billing since that dateTherefore, we are not aware nor do we understand how the patient is receiving any recent statements about such a small amount dueOn the other hand, indeed we did uncover a few cases of patients who continued to receive automated billing statements from our previous billing vendor even after they had made payments toward their balanceIt was mainly an issue of automated computer timingWe have switched to a new Billing vendor in the last three months in an effort not just to resolve similar minor incidents but, also to render our operations more efficient and transparent. In regards to this patient we apologize for the turmoil she went through in receiving multiple billing letters for this small amountAfter review of the situation our management team decided to send her a refund for her contribution of $as a courtesy gesture in the same manner we have done for the few other cases we previously identifiedSee a copy of the check attached.
