Affairs To Remember

I *** hired Julia R owner of Affairs 2 Remember located in NJ to coordinate my daughters first birthday event that was held on Saturday September 26th. I booked her over two months in advance and as per contract she was suppose to provide decor services for the agreed upon price of $1510.00 total . We agreed upon cake , decor, backdrop etc prior to event and one week before when I called to confirm everything was in place she disconnected her cell phone and was no where to be found . I tried numerous ways of contacting her through the vendors she uses and no one could get in touch with her . Come the day of my event she was a no show and she was fully paid by me through Venmo a full
Month before the date of my event . I didn’t receive any services from her and she has all my money . I just want it back and she is not contacting me to give back what Is rightfully mine. I’m not looking for anything but what I lost in paying her for services that I didn’t receive. I therefore had to scramble and pay someone double the week of the party to have decor and cake , desserts , tables and everything done . She has a go
Fund me page I have learned after begging for money . I just want what’s owed to me paid back I’m full. She broke our contract and completely no service was provided and she cut off communication entirely .

I booked Julia R on March 8, 2020, as a party planner for my baby shower. I did not sign a contract with her. Julia and I were supposed to meet in person and I was going to provide her with a signed contract- this meeting was cancelled due to COVID-19. I did send her a deposit on March 8th to secure her services for my event. After some time passed my shower was cancelled due to COVID-19. I then reached out to Julia on multiple occasions for a refund and she has not gotten back to me or sent back any money to me.

Affairs2remember by Julia R will not issue a refund on the full amount of $2,000. We have never discussed the full agreement an was not aware that we couldn’t get a refund under any circumstances. I explained to her due to COVID-19 we could not follow through with the event. It was neither of our fault we fell into this predicament. Julia R is very unprofessional and did not provide a receipt confirmation of the payment issued to her and also after multiple times of me asking her for documents stating we have signed and agreed with her keeping the full payment if things change and we can’t follow through with the event & have to cancel. I asked Julia once again for proof of documents signed and dated stating I had agreed to no refund and credit only, and Julia stalled for 3 weeks. She then created a false agreement with NO signatures and dates and put an incorrect last name for me. At first she said she was going to try to get me a refund and then a week later she told me I can only get a credit.
