Affinity Burial and Cremation Society Reviews (1)

I am trying to get specific written information regarding steps for my sons to follow at my time of death, to include in my trust. I purchased cremation services from Neptune Society of Northern Nevada and it was apparently transferred to Affinity Burial and Cremation Society in 2010. After reviewing this data to bring my trust current I made a call to Affinity and spoke with[redacted], Manager, who stated he would send me a letter clearly outlining procedures my sons should follow, to include ashes to be scattered on the mountain side. That call was made on February 10, 2014, I followed up with a note on March 3, 2014. To date I have not received anything. I am very healthy so this is not urgent, however I want it completed. I certainly don't want my sons to go through what I am experiencing at a difficult time in their life. It appears to me this is a simple request, a detailed letter with instructions my sons can rely on. I sincerely hope you will be able to expedite this request. [redacted]Desired SettlementI want the letter I requested completed and mailed to me. Thank you. Business Response Dear [redacted], First I would like to apologize for the delay in getting this response to you. I agree that it can be frustrating to wait for a response that doesn't happen and for that I am sorry. After reviewing your file I have found that the cremation process to include a mountain side scattering has been fully paid. The only cost the plan does not cover is certified copies of the death certificate or any sales tax. The steps your sons will follow once a certified official has pronounced that you have passed away are as follows:First notify the official that you have a cremation plan with Affinity Burial and Cremation. At that time my office will be notified and my team will arrive to transport you back to our facility. My office will then begin to process the death certificate for cremation. Once my office has the complete paperwork we will cremate your remains. After the cremation process is completed we will schedule an appropriate time to scatter the remains in a designated place on a mountain side. Since we have your signature on file authorizing the process it will not be necessary for your sons to take any further action. If you have any further questions please let me know. Sincerely, [redacted]Manager
