Affinity Salon and Spa

Review: I came into Affinity Salon in Metairie at 11 AM on 2/17/14 to get my hair washed, cut and highlighted. The lady the asked what I wanted done and I explained to her I wanted the top portion of my hair highlighted. I showed her in a book what I wanted and we picked out colors to highlight my hair. When she was done the strips of blond were 3 different colors. It looked terrible. She tried to tone it to make it all one color but that did not work. I was there for 3 hours and she never got around to cutting it before I had to leave at 2:45 PM. I paid $105.00 before I left and scheduled another appointment for the 2/20/14 to have it fixed. I came back on the 20th at 10:00 AM. She attempted to fix the color. After her second attempt it looked even worse! The entire top portion of my hair was gold. She had a coworker try to help her fix it. He attempted to fix one side of my head while she did the other. Again they tried to tone it to make the color more even. By 2:45 PM I had to leave again and the highlights were not fixed and my hair had not been cut. There were bleed marks all over my head, there was a ring around the back of my head and the color of the highlights was awful. She text messaged me apologizing for having trouble getting my hair highlighted and told me to text her my schedule to set up another appointment. She never responded to my text message to setup another appointment. I went to another salon to have the problem corrected. It cost me $145 to have it fixed. I then contacted Affinity Salon at 2:13 PM on March 19, 2014, 11:31 AM on March 21, 2014 and 2:46 PM on March 25, 2014 to see about getting a refund. No one called me back until March 25th. The owner than told me there was nothing she could do. I should have let them fix the problem but after 2 visits and 6 hours I think that was enough to fix the highlights and cut my hair. I would like a full refund or the cost I paid the other salon to fix the problem.Desired Settlement: Refund of $105.00 or cost of $145.00 to fix problem at another salon.

The services were terrible the receptionist was rude and called me the N-word under her breath the owner said she was recording our intire conversation and that she didnt need permission from anyone her name is cathi I believe and her husband said "this is why we shouldn't have to mix with these animals" I was appalled I will never return to lakeside mall because of this salon.
