I was on my computer when the screen went blue and stated the trojan virus had attacked my computer and to fix to call ###-###-#### They were very helpful and assured they would fix my computer The remotely accessed my computer and spent about an hour helping me and getting rid of the trojan virus After I was told it would be $and for a lifetime protection for my computer $ I thought that since they did all the work already I agreed to it They didnt ask for *** card but my checking account for auto debitAcouple days later my daughter was furious with meShe went on the companies website which states there is a full refund if contacted within days of purchase I contacted the company days after and they stated since I paid with checking debit I was still responsible for cancelation fee of $ The refunded the difference of $ I wasnt given anything in writing from this company for my purchase or advised of refund policyThey remotely printed

Pappeared to lock my computer Instructed me to call ###-###-#### to 'fix' my computer They required me to pay $to unlock my computer In fact, once I allowed them to remote to my computer to unlock it, they removed my current virus scanning software and ad blocking software and instead installed their own products It turns out the $I paid was for a year subscription to a virus scanning software I did not need or want They would not take a credit card and insisted that I pay by giving them my routing/account information to my bank I have since had the software removed from my computer and have requested a refund from the company I spoke with customer support and they told me I had to speak to billing They would not transfer me because billing was busy When I asked for a number directly to billing, they told me no such number existed Billing is supposed to call me within minutes It has now been minutes with no phone call I subsequently c

July 10, while on *** my computer froze, a pop up with a contact number for assistance which I called I did agree to the installation of *** *** *** Security Software for years effective July 10, through July 9, at the cost of $and Affix Computer Repair and Services for years, same time frame at the cost of $ I had been calling the Toll free number in the past year and recently as of 07/08/
I tried calling Thursday August 17, and today August 18, with a recording (not available, try to call back later) At this point I felt something has to be wrong and tried to search the computer to see if this company was legit...I am at the point of someone confirming that I have been scammed and not certain if the *** *** *** Security Software is active and if I am at least covered

My computer locked up and they told me they could fix it when I found out it was a scam, I called them and asked for a refund they said they were putting me through to billing for a refund and put me on permanent hold

I originally contacted the merchant regarding my computer being under attackI assumed I was talking to Microsoft as that is the first screen that came upultimately I was coerced into agreeing to a year plan at $even though I repeated that I am on a fixed income and was looking for something less expensiveafter the fact I was able to look at their website and found I was duped into agreeing to a year plan when they actually had a one year plan availablethey also insisted on my checking account number claiming they couldn't take a credit card numberI e-mailed them later an requested that a refund be initiated as their sales person misrepresented everythingclearly he was interested only in making the saleI also initiated a stop payment on the check that they (he) had demanded the check was posted to my account this morningI have talked to my bank and they will deny the claim but I fear that they will try other means to collect these fundsI just sent this e-m
