Affluent Travel

I would never recommend this company for any type of school or organizational travel. I did use them in 2014 for a school long distance trip. When the 'bus' arrived it was not the full charter that I requested but a mini-party bus which the owner, J[redacted], felt would be sufficient for the trip (in spite of a quote and contract for a full charter). Because we could not fit our students and supplies on this party bus and were unable to find alternate travel he did finally (3 hours later) supply a full size charter. He even apologized upon our return for the mix-up which is the only reason I opted to use the company again for the same trip this past school year. Again, documented quote, e-mail correspondence, contract etc. for a full charter in addition to my thinking that we had already cleared up any issues or miscommunication from the prior year and what does he show up with--a party bus!. Another extremely stressful, uncomfortable trip via a mode of transportation suited for a 2-3 hour jaunt around town and not a 10 hour excursion across the country. He stated to me and my superiors that he did not recall the written correspondence specifically requesting a quote for a full size charter (even after I e-mailed him another copy of it) and even told me ''My bus, my rules", this of course after he had already been paid prior to the pick up date. Unprofessional, untrustworthy, discourteous (after he gets his money) and a mistake I will never make again.
