Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
[redacted]. "Misplaced part of his order" um, no. They misplaced MOST of my order. I dropped off pants, 2 shirts, 2 blazers, and an overcoat. What I received back (of mine anyway) - 2 shirts, also late. So I would say I only received "part" of my order.2. When I came for the rest of my order, no refund or any compensation was offered, she let me walk out the door without even a coupon. Before walking out I asked if they planned to give me a compensation of some sort and the lady said she would "rattle her husbands cage about it" and to try calling him. What does that mean? Did they forget I was coming, there was no prior discussion about how to make it right with the customer? Sending me on another telephone goose chase. 3. I am asking for a full refund for the cost of the work done on the suit as a whole, because that's what it is. The reason I paid for the work to be done in the first place was for an event, in which I did not show up to. What was I supposed to wear? 1 of the 2 dry cleaned shirts I had? What is a suit without the jacket and pants, not to mention my overcoat goes with it as well. That's like giving me one shoe and not the other. 4. Sure, "an apology was offered" that's true, what I had said was, "they didn't even seem sorry" which they weren't. Empathy is a good quality to have when running a customer based business.

Mr, [redacted] recollections are true only in that we did missplace part of his order. When we became aware of our mistake we promptly appologized.  He was told we would make things right with him, but did ask for some time to find his garments.  He agreed with that.  We found his...

garments which had been picked up with another order hanging right next to his on the rod.  We notified him we had found his coats.  When he came to pick them up he said he had other garments he would like fixed and would he recieve any compensation for the mixup.  He was told of course and given my telephone number to work out the details.  At the time we were willing to refund the alterations and dry cleaning cost for the two coats to cover his inconvenince.  On two seperate occasions [redacted] was instructed to call and speak with me directly to discuss a refund. I have yet to speak with him. It is apparent from Mr. [redacted] settlement request that he is not willing to be reasonable.  He demands a refund of work he took with him the day he picked his order up. There was no problem with those items.  Not only does he want a full refund but he is asking for an amount over what he paid.  No. I am not going to give him that.  It shows only that he is only interested in getting something for nothing, a problem in todays society that I will not encourage. I was and am willing to refund the cost of the alterations and dry cleaning for the two coats in the amount of $67.80 at anytime in the next 3 weeks. He will have to come in to get it however and that will be the end of it.While we do regret the mistake, we have dispite all our efforts, not mastered the art of walking on water. Mistakes do happen and we try to learn from them so they never happen again.  Mr. [redacted] statement that he was offered no appology is quit simply a lie. We offered an appology when we first learned of our error, and again each time we talked with him.  We did not equivicate or try to duck our error and made every good faith effort to resolve the issue.  We felt it was as positive an outcome as could be hoped for when he asked and we agreed to perform work for his inconvenince.  I was saddened and disheartened to learn that instead of allowing us to make a good faith effort to satisfy him he decided to involve a third party. We have consitantly tried to provide the best in customer service and have hundreds of loyal happy customers, both commercial and retail.  There are some you just can't satisfy.Paul H[redacted]Owner Affordable AlterationsFebruary 25, 2017
