I've been taking my pets to this clinic for yearsI've always enjoyed bringing my pets to this facility everyone always greets them with the best attitudeSeeing below there are good and bad reviewsI can personally say I have not had any bad experiences with this clinicI've been to high end clinics and low cost clinicsThis facility is just the same as any clinic nothing less or jipped fromI love what this Clinic represents and how it helps this community and surrounding areasI was sitting in the lobby speaking to a few clients and just like myself all of us are in tight money situations and we all agreed that without this clinic we would not be able to afford to care for our animalsWe are very appreciative for this clinic and we look forward to years having a relation with this clinicThank you to the owner for having your facility to help all the people and their fur babiesAnd thank you, thank you to the staff for always taking the best care of my babies!

Affordable Animal Care gave services I did not ask for, then charged me for them, then were very very rude. I went to for rabies shots for two dogs plus a possible blood test for one dog. When I called, and explained my dog's symptoms, I asked if I could just have the thyroid blood work if this was the veterinarian's diagnoses? I was told 'yes' - the cost would be $50 for thyroid test. She said people often do this. The website says that emergencies come first, so I made an appointment, but arrived prepared to wait if there was an emergency. There, I explained my needs: 2 rabies shots, one blood test for thyroid. She said I would have to pay for the exam for the dog that needed the bloodwork, an extra $40. So I agreed. All seemed fine - until the veterinarian, arrived in the room. The following is a list of what she did:She never examined my dog - either in the room or outside. She picked up my dog, looked at him for a second, then said he needed complete blood work. I asked if I could just have the thyroid test and she said the cost for it was $90, and I might as well have the whole thing. I said the receptionist had told me $50, and she said I was quoted incorrectly. Then, she took my dog to another room. I opened the door and watched while she and an attendant gave him 3 shots, not 1. I asked why they gave 3 shots. I was told to go back in the exam room. I still watched from the door. They never examined him. Then, the vet came back with my dog & started to clip his nails - without asking me. I had an appointment for him to be groomed later, so that wasn't needed, but she just did it. Then the vet took my other dog out of the room-for shots? She came back & started cutting his facial hair-without asking. I tried to ask questions: what they were doing & why, why not stay in the room? I told them I needed to know what I was spending & to please answer my questions before doing something. I was ignored, and they were very annoyed at my questions. They continued to hold my dogs. The Vet spent 5 minutes with me total. She asked what I do for a living. I told her I am a pastor, and she told me she had known only one pastor that she liked. She said I should look her up because she was the only pastor she had ever liked. Immediately after that she began being rude. I do not know if her feelings are related to my experience or not. Finally, I was given a bill. I expected a bill for 2 rabies shots, and blood work. Since an exam had not been done, I did not expect to be charged for one. The bill was $405. - including charges for extra shots, an exam that did not happen, and $18 each for toenail clipping! I asked questions about the bill - specific costs, the extra charges, why they did not treat my dogs in front of me? The attendant refused to answer. She kept repeating, "the veterinarian is the only one who can change this", yet would not go ask the vet. Finally, she left, returning soon to say the vet would do nothing. The receptionist was with her - who said I had no right to complain to them, only the vet. I asked to speak with the veterinarian, & she was unavailable.I said I did not ask for most of these services. I was told, "well, the veterinarian did them and you have to pay for them". I insisted on a breakdown of the costs. They would not show me. The receptionist just became ruder-sighing loudly at any question I asked. Prices changes each time they were explained. The office staff appeared very nervous when I pressed for answers. The told me no other customers ever asked them for a breakdown of their bill. The veterinarian was rude, made judgmental comments, and appeared overwhelmed with her job. The people in the office seemed nice until the vet became involved. I was stunned at this experience - so stunned that I almost did not write this. If I read all this, I am not sure I would believe it. Maybe someone will take this seriously and do something to prevent them from treating others this way. This veterinarian should be stopped - or at least held accountable by someone. Desired SettlementThis business seeks out people who are economically challenged. Their advertisement is to help people be able to take care of their pets in an affordable manner. They are completely unprofessional and did not perform all of the work they charged me for. They are pushy and they bullied me. They also added items to their bill that I did not request. I sensed this is mostly due to the veterinarian, but do not know if it is a part of their entire practice. I paid the bill - I felt I had no choice if I wanted my dogs back. While I would love to have my money back (at least for what I did not ask for), most of all I do not want others to be treated this way. They should be accountable for their services, and they took advantage of me on several levels. After looking online, it appears I am not the first customer to experience this with them. I would like to see them stopped.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Vet TechnContact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@gmail.comThis client presented in our office on July 30th,2014 with her two pets one was for annual vaccinations and the other pet was exam with a skin problem. There was nothing ever stated about thyroid panel when patient made and appointment. When the client got into the exam room she was asked pre-exam questions by the tech and then followed by an exam by Dr. [redacted]. Dr. [redacted] did a full exam, she did have to bring the pet out to be held by a tech because the dog was snappy and repeatedly tried to bite the tech. When the owner asked why Dr. [redacted] took the pet out of the room the owner was told the reasoning and then she became frustrated saying that there was not problem with her pets in the room that she seen so that was not true and that the Dr [redacted] never did an exam on her pets. Then the tech proceeded to go over the plan of treatment with the client and she distinctly said that she would like to speak with the Dr. that she has a PhD as well and just as intelligent and that she would like to talk to someone on her level. There was never any rudeness to the client, the tech proceeded as it is her job to go over treatment and listen to the client's concerns. Discussing treatment with the client became difficult because we did a thyroid panel as discussed with her pet and we were going to start thyroid medications, but in order to balance out the medication correctly we would need to re-run a thyroid panel in 3 weeks. The client said she would not be in town in three weeks and she does not have a Vet Relation established at home so she could and would not be able to do that. We further discussed that we could give her pet the medication for 3 weeks but after for the pets health it was crucial to check the levels and make sure the pet is doing well, there was an option to just put the pet on medication but there was no way with out the blood work to make sure if that was the correct dose or if it was even helping the pet. The client then became rude because while the client was talking the tech response was yes ma to everything she said, acknowledging that she understood what she was saying and continued to have the conversation but the client was not tolerating that conversation. the client did have a lot of questions and the tech answered to the best of her ability and if she could not answer them she left the room to speak with the Dr. to get the answer for the client. Also the client was told about her bill and the charges that would be on there, as we do with all our clients that way when they get to check out there will not be any shock or unknown charges. The client during treatment never declined any treatment nor told Dr. [redacted] to stop doing any procedure that she seen being done. When the bill was discussed with the client she became more infuriated because that was not what she discussed. The tech then went through the prices individually so she would know where the charges came from. The client then wrote down her own personal bill what she thought she should pay and it was $150 less than what she owed us. The client stayed in the exam room for two hours and was given full attention though not all from the Dr. as she wished because we had emergencies and surgeries to do, but the staff made sure she was given our fullest attention. Even after the client was finished in the room she stayed in the lobby for another hours with the issues about her bill and was making other clients frustrated because she stood in their way and right beside them while they were trying to check out. the client finally paid her bill and left and we have not seen or heard anything else from her except when we called for a follow up call on her pet and she said that "Her pet seemed much better, hardly itching now; which was great!"2014-08-18They are being completely untruthful, but I am not surprised.I am not seeking a settlement, but wanted to bring attention to their terrible practices. I imagine I need a different venue for this, but I truly appreciate your help.Final Business Response Affordable Animal Care is here to help lower income clients with best cost efficient way possible. We do not seek people out and over charge them, we are a working facility and in order to keep the doors open we have to charge a price to pay for the services we are doing. In this certain situation the client was never disrespected or discriminated though she was very rude and undermined the staff, because the staff is not on an educational level as she is. The client received all services she was charged for and more that she was not charged for(nail trims, trimmed hairs, ear cleanings) but again the client said she did not ask for those services, but she never declined them either. We are here to look out for the best interest of the animals and that is what we do. Though some animals need more treatment than others and not every visit will end up being under $100 especially with two pets visiting at the same time. As for the client saying she felt she needed to pay her bill because she wanted her dogs back; her pets were never taken from her nor said they would be, the client was told that payment of services are due the day of and that if she wanted the testing done (full blood panel), medications given, and other vaccines (which were given already) history she was going to pay the bill and not the one she came up with on her own. The client received all services that was paid for and there will not be a refund to the client.

NEGLIGENCE, INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR, MALPRACTICE, AGREEING TO A PAYMENT AGREEMENT, AND THEN NOT ABIDING BY IT, HURT MY ANIMAL.[redacted] OFFICE MANAGER AGREED TO HALF PAYMENT ON DAY OF SURGERY FOR CAT, THEN BALANCE PAID IN JULY, BUT RENIGGED AND DEMANDED FULL PAYMENT UPON PICKING UP MY CAT. THE VET THREATENED TO KEEP MY CAT UNTIL BILL PAID IN FULL, WHICH IS FELONY AND POLICE CALLED THERE. OFFICER [redacted] SAID I AM THE 45TH PERSON THIS MO. RE SAME SCENARIO THERE. THEY REFUSED TO SEND HIM HOME WITH HIS PAIN MEDS, SHOT, ORAL ANTIBIOTICS AND MOUTH ANTIBIOTICS, ANALGESICS. THEY REFUSE TO SEND THE BIOPSIES OFF TO DETERMINE TYPE OF CANCER, AND HE WILL DIE SOON IF CHEMO IS STARTED SOON. I CALLED BACK TODAY AND ASKED IF I CAN BUY MY CAT [redacted] MED AND THEY SAID WE ARE DONE WITH YOU. I TOLD THEM THAT I WILL NOT PAY FOR BIOPSIES NEXT MONTH WHEN I GET MY CHECK IF THEY WONT SEND BIOPSIES OFF FOR TYPE OF CANCER RESULTS. ** IS IN PAIN, CANT EAT OR DRINK WATER OR USE THE BATHROOM, HIS STITCHES AND MOUTH ARE IN PAIN. ORIGINALLY THEY QUOTED, $800 FOR BIOPSIES, AND EXPLORATORY SURGERY, AND $100 FOR TOOTH CLEANING, AND GUM SURGERY. I PAID $400 UPON ARRIVAL AND AGREED TO $400 AT PICK UP AND REMAINDER IN JULY AND THEY DEMANDED FULL PAYMENT AT PICK UP. ** MIGHT DIE NOW AND THEY SAID THEY DONT CARE ABOUT HIS PAIN. THE BILL CAME TO $1257.00 AND UPON ARRIVAL I SIGNED THEIR CONSENT FORM, AGREEING THE BILL COULD BE FROM $800-$1000 DOLLARS IF COMPLICATIONS HAPPEN, AND THEY DIDNT STICK WITH ORIGINAL PAYMENT PLAN. DURHAM POLICE OFFICER, MR [redacted] SAID THAT THIS VET NEEDS REPORTED AND HE GOES THERE FREQ. RE THEM DOING THE SAME THING TO OTHER PATIENTS AND THE PUBLIC NEEDS FORWARNED AND THEIR UNETHICAL AND INHUMANE. IF THEY WOULD HAVE DEMANDED FULL PAYMENT UP FRONT AT TIME OF ARRIVAL, THIS SCENE WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AND I WOULDNT HAVE PROCEEDED. THE VETERIANARIAN BOARD SAID IT WILL TAKE UP TO A MONTH TO RESOLVE THIS AND MY CAT ** MIGHT DIE SOON IF MEDS, ANTIBIOTICS, PAIN MEDS ARE GIVEN WHICH I OFFERED TO BUY. ALL VETS HAVE REFUSED TO PRESCRIBE TREATMENT TO ** AND SAID THEY WONT COMBINE CARE TO TREATMENTS ALREADY GIVEN BY ANOTHER VET AND THEY SAID ITS UNETHICAL WHAT THIS VET HAS DONE TO ME AND ** AND THEY SAID THEY DONT CARE IF HE IS IN PAIN OR DIES.THEY ALSO DONT WANT BOTHERED NOW AND SAID, FOR ME NOT TO PAY THEM NEXT MONTH AND THEY DONT WANT TO SEND OUT [redacted] BIOPSY. I WAS ALSO SHOCKED HOW MUCH THE BILL CAME TO ME WHEN [redacted] OFFERED AN ORIGINAL PRICE, I NEVER SIGNED ANY FORM WITH THEM SAYING THAT I WOULD PAY THE BILL IN FULL UPON PICK UP OF MY CAT, AND I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK FROM THE FRIGHT OF THEM THREATENING TO KEEP MY CAT AND NOT TREATING HIM THERE OR FEEDING HIM UNTIL I CAME UP WITH THE BALANCE. THAT IS A FELONY TO DO THAT TO A PERSON.Desired SettlementAS IT STANDS NOW, IF THEY DONT SEND OFF THE BIOPSY SOON, THEN ** WILL HAVE TO GET ANOTHER BIOPSY IN 3 MONTHS AFTER HE RECOVERS FROM THIS SURGERY. HE WILL DIE SOON WITHOUT CHEMO AND THEY EXPLAINED THAT HE ALSO HAS A STOMACH, INTESTINE ISSUE, SIMILAR TO IRRITABLE BOWEL AND WILL NEED SPECIAL FOODS, AND STEROIDS TO HELP HIS PAIN AND TO DIGEST FOOD. MY REGULAR VET SAID THEY CANT PUT HIM ON THOSE BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW THE RESULT OF THE EXPLORATORY SURGERY IN [redacted] INTESTINE, ** SHOULD NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER SURGERY FOR BIOPSIES AND EXPLORATORY SURGERY, TOTALING ANOTHER $800-1,000 DOLLARS, AND TIME IS OF THE ESSNECE RE HIS DIET, STEROIDS HE NEEDS FOR BOWEL DISEASE, AND THE BIOPSIES NEED TO BE SENT OFF ASAP TO DETERMINE TYPE OF CANCER, SINCE THEY REMOVED TUMORS ON HIS LIVER AND SPLEEN TO BE SENT OFF. WHAT THEY QUOTED ME ORIGINALLY AND WHAT THE END BILL CAME TO DONT MATCH. I JUST WANT TO HAVE ** HAVE HIS MEDICATIONS HE NEEDS NOW WHICH I CAN PAY FOR, AND HAVE HIS BIOPSY SENT OFF AND HIS RECORDS FOR HIS STOMACH DISEASE TO BE FORWARDED TO MY REGULAR VET, SO THEY CAN PRESCRIBE STEROIDS AND A SPECIAL DIET. THIS OFFICE ALSO REFUSED TO FORWARD RECORDS TO MY REGULAR VET. THE DURHAM CITY POLICE OFFICER, MR [redacted] SAID THAT THIS AGENCY HAS DONE THIS TO NUMEROUS CLIENTS, THREATENING TO KEEP THEIR ANIMALS FOR TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS A DAY BOARD FEE UNTIL THEIR BILL IS PAID IN FULL. THE OFFICER ALSO MENTIONED THAT FOUR OTHER PEOPLE HAD TO CALL HIM, BECAUSE THE VET OFFICE AGREED TO A PAYMENT PLAN AN RENIGGED, AND LEFT THEIR PETS IN PAIN OR TO DIE. THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO BE AWARE OF THIS. THE VETS NAME IS, DR. [redacted], THE OFFICE MANAGER IS [redacted]. [redacted] DIDNT YELL AT ME, BUT THE VET YELLED. DR [redacted] MADE A HIPPOCRATIC OATH UPON VET GRADUATION, TO TREAT AND HELP ALL ANIMALS IN A HUMANE MANNER FOR THEM TO AVOID SUFFERING. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW, BECAUSE IF THEY THREW OUT THE BIOPSY, THEN ** HAS TO HAVE SURGERY AGAIN, AND IT MIGHT BE TOO LATE. I WONDER IF HE WILL LIVE NOW, AS HE CANT EAT FROM PAIN IN MOUTH FROM GUM SURGERY, NOR DRINK WATER, HE NEEDS PAIN MED FOR THAT AND MOUTH ANTIBIOTICS, ORALLY. THEY HAVE 2 OTHER INJECTIONS THAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE UPON TIME OF PICK UP AND THEY DIDNT GIVE THEM TO HIM AND HE NEEDS ANTIBIOTICS SO HIS ABDOMINAL STITCHES, GET HEALED AND NOT INFECTED. HE CANT EAT, DRINK OR PEE, OR HAVE A BM IF HIS MOUTH IS IN PAIN AND HIS STITCHES ON HIS ABDOMENT HURTING. HE LOOKS LIKE HES IN SHOCK NOW. THE BEST SCENARIO WOULD BE FOR THEM TO LET ME BUY HIS MEDS THAT HE NEEDS, RE ALL 5 MEDICATIONS, AND THEM TO MAIL OFF BIOPSIES SO RESULTS WILL BE IN APPROX 5 DAYS, AND FOR ME TO PAY THEM NEXT MONTH AS THEY ORIGINALLY AGREED TO. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ** AND ME. WE WILL BE ANXIOUSLY AWAITING. [redacted] MENTIONED TODAY THAT I WAS RUDE TO THEM, AND I NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO BE RUDE, CAUSE I WAS CALLING NUMEROUS FRIENDS TO SEE IF THEY CAN HELP WITH THE VET BILL YESTERDAY. THEY ALSO WONT GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE CHARGER. THIS INCIDENT ALL HAPPENED ON JUNE 16TH, 2014 JUST YESTERDAY, AND TODAY IS TUES, JUNE 17TH, AND THEY STILL REFUSE TO LET ME PICK UP MY CATS, [redacted] MEDS NOR DO THEY WANT TO SEND THE TUMORS OFF FOR BIOPSY. IT WILL TAKE A MONTH FOR THE VET BOARD TO DEAL WITH THEIR BEHAVIOR, WHICH IS UNETHICAL, CRUEL, INHUMANE, AND THEY LIED AND DIDNT KEEP THEIR WORD, NOR WOULD THEY NEGOTIATE TODAY OR TRY TO HELP. I DID CALL THEM LAST NIGHT AND TELL THEM I WOULD CALL, Revdex.com, ATTY GENERAL, VET BOARD AND TROUBLE SHOOTER. NONE OF THE ABOVE WANT TO HELP ME RE ** MIGHT DIE, AND THEY ALL SAID TO CALL YOUR OFFICE, INCLUDING, OFFICER [redacted] AT THE DURHAM POLICE DEPT, DURHAM, NC. PLEASE HELP, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. THANKS, [redacted]Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]-ManagerContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted].com Having read Ms. [redacted] correspondence we are endeavoring to address the substance of her complaint. The payment plan was brought up by Ms. [redacted] but she was told that we would need full payment once her cat was released from our care. Provision of analgesia: As Ms. [redacted] was unwilling to settle her payment at the time of discharge we were not in a position to provide Ms. [redacted] with additional medication to go home. We did offer Ms. [redacted] the opportunity to have ** stay overnight and be treated with pain relief at our own cost . ** was not discharged without pain relief. Ms. [redacted] came into the back area of the clinic (which is staff only area) & removed her cat without our knowledge. To discharge an animal without necessary analgesia would be completely contrary to our ethos. The option to have ** remain at the clinic overnight on pain medication was presented to Ms. [redacted] however in removing ** from the clinic she clearly chose to forego this option. As far as the biopsies in agreement with Ms. [redacted] samples were taken from several sites along [redacted] alimentary canal. These samples are available for analysis. However Ms. [redacted] has not settled her account. Analysis of these samples would incur a further cost to Affordable Animal Care & would further the debt we have suffered in treating Ms. [redacted] cat [redacted] If Ms. [redacted] would like to settle her account at the clinic we would be in a position to send the biopsies for analysis. We have no desire to withhold information from Ms. [redacted] in relation to her cat's health. Furthermore it is important to note that ** has no diagnosis of cancer at this point. Finally while we are very surprised by the allegations made by Mr. [redacted] , we find his comments to be extremely unlikely and consider this form of hearsay to be unworthy of comment.

They are trying to collect on a bill that I have already paid. On 6/2/14 my husband dropped off our dog to be looked over. That night I went to pick her up & was informed to give her medicine that we disagreed with. The Tech was not there so I paid for the original discussed amount, took the meds home and the next day, 6/3/14, I spoke to the tech about the meds and surgery we are in need of. She advised me to wait on the surgery and to come in a pay for the meds. On 6/3/14 I went to the bank to take the remanding amount out from our savings account to pay for the meds. I paid on 6/3/14 during my lunch break. Well months later [redacted] has contacted me to say I've not paid. This is frustrating because I did not keep the reciept since I was paying for pain meds and not rabies shots. I asked her to look into her receiveables from that day but do not get the feeling she actually did what she said she'd do. [redacted] told me then "there had been erros from that day". The problem is this is a cash only vet. I did not mind this until now. I have no reason to keep a receipt for something my homeowners associate or NC law will question us about. We have 2/3 receipts but not showing the final one. Our concerns with Affordable Care Vet is their receiveables practice or they have a theif working for them. Desired SettlementDismiss the illegitimate charge of $161.00. I apologize Ms. [redacted] never received an answer from this complaint. I will personally make sure that this matter is looked into this matter and will be calling her if she will be available this afternoon Friday Oct. 10th. This complaint was never seen by any employee that has been noted that has been in the clinic except [redacted] the message is not in our records where we record all complaints. So again I deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

I've been taking my pets to this clinic for years. I've always enjoyed bringing my pets to this facility everyone always greets them with the best attitude. Seeing below there are good and bad reviews. I can personally say I have not had any bad experiences with this clinic. I've been to high end clinics and low cost clinics. This facility is just the same as any normal clinic nothing less or jipped from. I love what this Clinic represents and how it helps this community and surrounding areas. I was sitting in the lobby speaking to a few clients and just like myself all of us are in tight money situations and we all agreed that without this clinic we would not be able to afford to care for our animals. We are very appreciative for this clinic and we look forward to years having a relation with this clinic. Thank you to the owner for having your facility to help all the people and their fur babies. And thank you, thank you to the staff for always taking the best care of my babies!","pos-1

They performed treatment on my dog that I did not authorized for the amount of $709 as they initially told me.The morning of January 19 I called the Affordable Animal Care of Durham because my dog [redacted], a 12 pounds black poodle have had diarrhea and vomiting Sat and Sunday, to see if there was anything I should do or any medicine they could prescribe. Instead the person on the phone told me to bring the dog in. I went there and I wanted to wait until the vet would see him, but she told me that it was better for me to leave him there and that they would call me as soon as they knew something. As this company claimed that only took cash, I clearly asked the the attendant how much was the Dr. visit and she told me $41. This was sometime around 10AM or even earlier. As at 2PM nobody had called me, I called and a technician talked to me and told me that they were treating [redacted] with fluids and that they put a catheter and that I needed to bring him back the next day to continue with the fluid, and I was kind of surprised that they were doing so much without even calling me to ask for authorization. I asked how much that would cost and she told me she was not handling that area and that I needed to talk to the receptionist. I was transferred and I was told they didn't know how much that was and they would call me back.An hour later the woman called me and told me that the amount was $709.00. I was in shock and I told her that this was not what I was told by the receptionist when I left the dog and that nobody called me to request authorization to perform that treatment without consulting as I don't think many people have $700 to spare. She told me she was going to consult and she would call me back. Nobody called me so I went to pick up my dog around 5.00PM. When I arrived was another lady arguing with the receptionist as they charged her something that was not even belonging to her cat or dog that she brought there. The lady left very upset telling the receptionist that she was going to be back with the police. When it was my turn I clearly told her that I was not paying that amount as nobody requested authorization to perform that treatment they claimed they did to the dog. I was told that if I didn't pay they wouldn't give me the dog, that if I left the dog there, there would be I believe a $100 a day for boarding and that if I didn't pick up the dog in 10 days they would send the dog to the shelter. I told her that if they didn't give me the dog that I would call the police, so I did. While I was waiting for the police to come, I asked the poor receptionist if the owner was there, she told me she was but she wouldn't come to talk to me. While waiting, I was told that they were reducing the invoice from $709 to $545. I told her no and that I wanted to see the charges. I was told they can't print the invoice until it is paid. The receptionist was nice enough to let me look at the computer screen to see the charges. One of the charges was $100 for "shaving" one inch in each of my dog's legs. I couldn't believe my eyes. I asked what was that charge and she told me she could find out. She went inside to talk to someone and when she came back she took the $100 off the invoice. Still if I didn't pay they wouldn't let me take my dog. I didn't want to leave my dog there, and I didn't have that kind of money to pay, and at that point I was told that they did accept credit card. Again, I was very surprised with this company's practice that they tell people they don't accept credit card but then after they charge exorbitant amount to the clients, they then would take the credit card. I paid by credit card to be able to take my dog from that place. I was told to bring the dog again the following day and I was also told they would charge me again.I didn't take my dog again to that place even if it is for free. I can't believe the dog had all that they say he did need "intensive care" The dog took the medicine for the diarrhea and was absolutely fine without the need to go back to giving him more fluid.Desired SettlementI had to pay $454.60 in order to be able to retrieve my dog. Again, I was told that if I didn't pay they wouldn't give me my dog back.I did authorize the examination that was $41.I did take the medicines they gave me home, and those were $20.60 for [redacted] Tablets, $18 for [redacted] Tablets, and $22 for [redacted]. The 3 medicines plus the exam total the amount of $101.60, so I want a reimbursement of the difference, that is $454.60 I paid minus $101.60, so they need to reimburse me $353.00.
