This is in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] on 8/5/He did contract our company to do Emergency Mitigation; which did include the replacement of the two water heatersHowever; he did not purchase either water heaterThe credit card receipt showing a $deduction, that he presented, was the cost of his deductibleHe signed a service order(attached) for the deductibleAlso attached are the receipts for the two water heaters showing that they were purchased on our credit card It was explained to Mr [redacted] , on several occasions, that the structure & content portion of the claim are two different settlementsThis is not something that Mr [redacted] wanted to hear, he wanted the insurance company to pay the $on his credit card, he asked me to generate an invoice showing that he paid for the water heaterI explained to him that I was not willing to do that because it is basically insurance fraud It was also explained to Mr [redacted] that if our company was hired to do the Restoration & Repairs, that Mr [redacted] would reimburse Mr [redacted] half of his deductibleThis was as a courtesy(as was any assistance in filing the "content" portion of this claimWhat the insurance company did was reimburse us for the purchase of the two water heaters Every customer that we deal with is told at the beginning of the claims that all calls are being recorded, that includes all calls with Mr [redacted] There was more work and there would have been more paymentsAt no time would Mr [redacted] have been held in the dark as to what was going onAs stated to him several times, insurance claims are a process that must be followed, sometimes they take longer than any of us like It is unfortunate that the situation has evolved into what it has, but we are obliged to follow the law Thank you, [redacted] AARCS

This is the same response I am getting in which they lie about the $being for the deductibleIn the beginning June I was charged $for a power vent hot water tank as [redacted] was aware I had a $deductibleLater in June Anytime Affordable Repair and Cleaning Services received a check for $in which the same power vent water heater was paid for by [redacted] Insurance. They were paid in FULL by ***They will not be able to produce any documents that show any deductions from their FULL payment which matches their estimate I asked to be reimbursed but they kept saying that money went to paying my deductibleI have included the estimate in which it shows full payment for both water heaters, a garage door opener that was installed as well as other work that AARCS never attempted to complete As I have been told a few time [redacted] records conversationsI would ask him to produce a single conversation we had about replacing the fuse box or an HVAC checkI asked about it only to be told that [redacted] has to be there and no further attempts have been made to get that work done even though it was paid for at the end of JuneThose items are highlighted What you will not see in a $deduction from the estimate given to [redacted] Insurance as my deductible was covered by electronic items damaged by the lightning strike such as TV's and an computer among other things I also asked for a receipt showing the work preformed on 06-18-but after I get promised then I do not hear back for over a week until they are trying to get more money to replace siding on my homeI don't understand why I can't not get a receipt, maybe they are afraid to admit that the instillation was paid for twiceI will also attach a copy of an email in which [redacted] admits that my deductible was covered by my personal, household itemsPlease read below the email I copied and pastedAlso printed and attached Re: receipt- [redacted] Sunday, August 3, 9:PM Mark as Unread Flag this message From: " [redacted] " < [redacted] @mac.com> To: " [redacted] " < [redacted] [email protected]> Cc: "***" " [redacted] " Full Headers Printable View Hello! ***: If I'm not mistaken your Adjuster subtracted your deductible out of your contents instead of deducting it from the structure/house side of this claim Adjusters rarely ever do such a thing, but rather than make a big deal out of it now lets just relax When the claim is finished on the siding portion you can get reimbursed, and remember if the Adjuster agrees with our scope of work for a complete siding replacement I told you day one that I would eat half of your ($500.00) deductible No one said you were bad at math it's just the way this claim has worked out so far but it will change shortlyPlease be patient "WE" are all on your side no need to create unnecessary drama for either of us, ok? It was a pleasure speaking with you the other day concerning the complaint that has been brought against Affordable Pump, for services rendered (or not) on our property at *** *** *** *** *** *** As discussed, both my wife (*** ***) and myself, are the customers of
the services provided by Affordable Pump for the repair of a submersible well pump and ancillary issues in May of The initial contact with Affordable Pump and its owner (William J***) occurred on the emergency e-mail and phone number, in the early morning (6:a.m.) of Wednesday, May 17, I sent an e-mail and also left a voice mail Subsequently, I received a return phone call from MrJ***, of Affordable Pumps I addressed my issues and concerns of our well situation with MrJ*** and he indicated that he would be able to have someone visit the house that day to do an assessment and hopefully to repair the problem quickly I provided MrJ*** with my e-mail and my cell phone number at that time and told him to have the repair man or representative contact me prior to going to the house I would then make arrangements to rearrange my schedule to meet the individual there and show them where the pump was and what the problems were Later that day, I did meet John P*** from Affordable Pumps, who did an evaluation of the situation and determined that there were some issues that would have to be addressed, due to the size of the well casing and the type of existing pump and connection to the supply line into the house, inside the casing of the well It was discussed that he would return Thursday to complete the job During the conversation, I did ask MrP*** for the written estimate as to what the cost and scope of work may be MrP*** indicated that that would be addressed by MrJ*** and that an estimate and contract would be sent to my attention In my earlier conversations with MrJ*** on the 17th, I asked MrJ*** for a written proposal and a contract He indicated that he would forward one to me, but continued to discuss other peripheral issues that were not directly related to our existing problem Later on the 17th, I contacted MrJ*** and asked for an estimate and did not receive any information from MrJ***, through e-mail or from text However, he did provide some information to my wife (*** ***), via text, on Thursday My wife then contacted me and advised me of the situation We discussed the same and she then responded to MrJ***, that it was okay to move forward with the repairs, as we were without water She renewed the request for a written proposal and contract Over the next hour period, conversations occurred between MrJ*** and *** ***, via text There were unusual texts and communications sent by MrJ*** to Mrs***, that I did not receive However, it was very clear that both Mrs*** and I were the customers and she was the one that provided authorization to MrJ*** to move forward, via text (notwithstanding no written proposal or contract) During this time, I had very limited (if any) communications with MrJ***, as I was speaking directly to John P***, who was the individual (with three others), at the job site I repeatedly asked MrP*** for the written estimate or contact and he assured me that MrJ*** had told him that it had been sent to my wife (which did not occur) and that he had not seen it Attached please find the only written document that we have, which was received on Saturday, May 20th, at approximately 4:p.m This document was written at that time, after lengthy discussions with MrP***, over the course of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday As you can see, this is not a contract This is a receipt for labor and materials that totaled $3, The payment was made by a check written by my wife, in full, on that day To address statements made by Affordable Pump, there was not a written proposal or contract provided There is no question that both my wife and myself were the customers and were in communications with one party or the other from Affordable Pump, over the four (4) day period At the time the attached document was received, there were additional discussions as to items that must be completed Pursuant to the Health Department’s Rules and Regulations, the well must be sanitized Due to the hour of the day on Saturday, May 20th, it was agreed that Affordable would return early next week to sanitize the pump, repair the deck and correct the deficiencies from the deck removal, to adjust the pump/pressure and to install an inline water filter, inside of the house The water filter and installation were to be billed separately, at the time of that installation The water filter was left in our house (and is still there), waiting for their return and installation, the deck now has a hole in it, and the well is not sanitized Unfortunately, Affordable Pump has not been back to the property, since approximately 5:p.mon Saturday, May 20th In our conversation, they indicated that it would take approximately one hour to two hours to repair the deck, sanitize the well, install the water filter inside and to adjust the pump As stated, they were to come the next week and give me a call on the day that they would be coming (which would be in the afternoon), to ensure that someone would be there to allow them into the house and to have access to anything that they needed As discussed, that did not occur, as no one appeared nor contacted us, during that week The week following the Memorial Day holiday, I contacted John P*** ###-###-####, to ask when he would be returning He indicated that he could not get there that week, due to work load He stated he would be there the first week in June, to complete the job I asked him to give me dates and times and he said that he would get back to me I did not hear from MrP*** and contacted him again, both by voice mail and by text He stated that he would come during the second week in June and we agreed upon a date and time I indicated that I would clear my schedule to ensure that I would be there The date and time were agreed to, via text, with MrP*** On the date that they were to appear, MrP*** indicated that there had been a death in the family and that he needed to take his father to a funeral in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and we could reschedule as soon as possible, the next week Again, I did not hear from MrP*** and made the effort to contact him again Once again, we scheduled a definite date and time and I cleared my schedule during the week, to accommodate his timing Unfortunately, MrP*** was unable to attend on that date, due to illness We agreed to reschedule again Again, I waited for a period of time for MrP*** to provide me with dates and times No response I then initiated the contact again We scheduled yet another date for MrP*** to come This date was going to be mid-afternoon I again cleared my schedule (Please note that I was at the property on all three previous occasions, before.) On this date, I waited the entire afternoon for MrP*** to appear and/or contact me I made several attempts during the timeframe that had been agreed to, to reach MrP***, with no response Finally, a day later, I received a response from MrP*** indicating that he had a flat tire on his truck and that the truck had to be towed and he had left his cell phone in the truck Therefore, he was unable to communicate with me Since that time, I have made several efforts to contact MrP*** and have him provide me dates again I requested that he provide absolute dates and times of his availability and I have not had a response from him since July 30th That contact came after a series of communications initiated by me, from July 21st (when the truck broke down and he did not appear) until July 30th, at which time I indicated, please provide me specific dates and times That was the last communication that I had with John P***, on this matter On August 21st, 2017, I received a lengthy voice mail from MrJ***, indicating that Affordable was not at fault for the inability to complete the items that were left unfinished on Saturday, May 20, Further, he indicated that due to scheduling and timing, that it had just made it impossible for Affordable to make arrangements to come to the house to complete the project Additionally, he indicated that the shocking of the well was not part of the deal Please note that this is a complete contradiction to all prior discussions Further, the Health Department Rules and Regulations require it Further, MrJ*** indicated that there were some minor carpentry to do on the deck Again, this is inaccurate The carpentry will take a significantly longer period of time and since the temporary repair performed on May 20th, the deck has fallen through in the location whether the work had been performed He also represented that he had made numerous attempts to contact *** ***, in an effort to work things out This is also inaccurate As discussed, I am aware of wells and how they work and have familiarity with the system and the process I had to request an explanation as to why certain things were being done MrP*** had three assistants to dig a hole approximately inches deep and approximately the same width, around the well casing It did require some of the deck boards to be removed, to gain further access Though I am not going to get into all of the details of this process, it is important to note that the initial contact was made on the early morning of May 17th and the process was not completed until late afternoon, May 20th During this time, there were discussions as to pump types, sizes and availability of the type of pump I had done some online research and contacted several suppliers All three suppliers that I contacted, indicated that I could have a pump shipped over night and delivered in less than hours, to my home (I began this process on Wednesday afternoon, to ensure that finding the pump would not be an issue.) However, I was told that there was no availability of pumps which lead to the further delay on Thursday, Friday and ultimately on Saturday, of the actual installation In short, this has been an experience that has lasted days longer than it should have lasted and is still not finished There is little else to say, at this time Also, please note that both my wife and I are the customers and were in conversation and discussion of this process If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me, at your convenience Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in this matter Have a great day. Sincerely,
*** ***

We just have returned from an extended trip and I only recently had theopportunity to respond to your emailsPlease excuse my delay.I couldn’t help but laugh at the crazy logic of the response fromAffordable Anytime Repair & Cleaning Services (AARCS)When I firstcontacted Revdex.com (Revdex.com) in regards to my horribleexperience, AARCS declared that I had no right to complain since itscontract was with my husband, not meWe had to establish to Revdex.com that thecontractual agreement with AARCS included both my husband and I as jointproperty ownersIf I recall, AARCS' owner, Bill, also made some prettysnarky references to me as a woman. This latest response, while funny, doesn’t come as a surpriseIt’s whatwould be expected from a shyster who maybe watches a lot of television lawshows, thinks they're a little smarter than everyone else and seeseverything as "pulling a deal." This pretty much sums up our experiencewith AARCSWhat would have been a surprise is the response you wouldexpect from any reputable company that would be supported by the Revdex.com, suchas “I stand behind my work,” “Let us finish and correct this,” “We careabout customer satisfaction,” or maybe even “We never like to destroyproperty and leave a site in worse condition, leave a job unfinished, andwalk away from unresolved work errors.” A reliable company might even haveexpressed confidence in the quality of its work, rather slick reasons itshouldn't be responsible.I believe my husband already thoroughly documented our contractualagreement with AARCS for youAnd your own records should document thatBill considered the work agreement to, at the very least, be a contractwith my husbandBut, in any case, I have attached the voice mail where heestablishes the work contract as with his companyI think his repeateduse of “we” would include him and his companyHe dispatched John P***to our house as a representative and employee of AARCS, which is how JohnP*** introduced and presented himself throughout his workHe also hadmultiple conversations where he discussed Bill and referred to him as thecompany owner on whose behalf he was workingWhen writing the check, wewere led to understand that the check to John P*** was on behalf ofAARCSLooking at it now, I am sure this provides certain tax advantages. What happens next? Can you please help me understand Revdex.com’s role in thecomplaint process? Do you intervene at some point? Or is this more of anemail exchange? I don’t mean this facetiously, I would like to betterunderstand this process and what would be reasonable expectations foroutcomeI’d also like to better understand your rating system. Our original call was not to AARCS; we reached out to an actual wellservice company that we had used in the pastApparently, it had closedand AARCS had purchased the telephone number or made some sort ofarrangement for our call to roll over directly to AARCSI should haverecognized this as sketchy business but the only reference check I made wasa quick one to Revdex.comMy bad, I now knowA simple internet search shows acompany with multiple names (always a bad sign) and a pretty big history ofunhappy customers with unresolved shoddy work: multiple complaints fromcustomers like me, legal actions for unethical practice, and always thesedemeaning responses from Bill belittling the customer, a sure indication ofan incredibly unprofessional regard for the customer or the quality of thecompany’s workHeck, I just needed to read the complaint section of yourown website to find angry customers. So, how is it this horrible company with its history of dissatisfiedcustomers and unprofessional responses is given a B+ rating on your site?I am very interested to know what I can expect to happen next in regards tomy complaint, information about the Revdex.com role in the complaint process, andwhat would be a reasonable expectation of outcome for this processI alsowould be interested in better understanding the Revdex.com rating system so Iwould know how it should be considered when making a consumer selection. Thanks so much for your timeI look forward to hearing from you.*** ***

Revdex.com called business to follow up on complaint and spoke to Bill J***, who put Dallas on the phone and he said he had mailed the certificate of service to the consumers at their home addressIf they did not receive it, they should call the office

bill, the owner still refuses to communicate with me in any way and the tech, john has once again promised me, via text (after I texted him repeatedly throughout an entire day) that the work would be done by today and it once again is notit seems it was all just a malicious stalling tactic to ensure that I could not have the work completed before wintertimei am still demanding my deposit back, as the work done is not done properly or done and it seems will not ever be done by a company that just cant be bothered to communicate or show up to do the work

You've got to be kidding meYou were told that weather conditions have delayed everything that's going on outside. You've been kept informed all along the way.You are now in breach of our agreement.I am still willing to honor our agreement with one stipulation, and that
is you pay us when completedas a result of your decision to file a complaint and request a full refund I no longer trust you given the facts. This problem that you had with your foundation has been that way for you for a long time and you knew this was going to take some time You knew that this work required decent weather conditions You're not our only client doing work outside so either you become more reasonable or we're going to end up going down a road that you don't want to go down it's as simple as that ***. I suggest you rethink your stand on your situation while we have a little more favorable good weather before the snow balls start flying. You may no longer call me, you may only Communicate with me via email or regular mailYou may contact my Tech John or Tacey.Respectfully,BillBegin forwarded message:additionally I will say:if the work on ***'s foundation wall -including ***'s well line that we agreed to add in, is completed by the end of this week and the foundation is guaranteed not to leak, fall or have any other problems I will 'change my tune' as far as the complaint. you, however, do know that you are past the deadline that I had laid out for weather temperature reasonsand you also know that you have been completely ignoring me for the last week.this week is the last week of good weatherit needs done and done immediatelythis is no longer an "urgent job" this is an "emergency job"

To whom it may concern 10/09/***s complaint is with another companytheydealt with and paid MrJohn P*** so they need to take their issues up with the fellow they made their check out to.As far as I'm concerned this matter is closed.please remove this.Bill

This is the same response I am getting in which they lie about the $1000.00 being for the deductible. In the beginning June 18. I was charged $1000.00 for a power vent hot water tank as [redacted] was aware I had a $1000.00 deductible. Later in June Anytime Affordable Repair and Cleaning Services received a check for $7188.67 in which the same power vent water heater was paid for by [redacted] Insurance. They were paid in FULL by [redacted]. They will not be able to produce any documents that show any deductions from their FULL payment which matches their estimate.  I asked to be reimbursed but they kept saying that money went to paying my deductible. I have included the estimate in which it shows full payment for both water heaters, a garage door opener that was installed as well as other work that AARCS never attempted to complete.
As I have been told a few time [redacted] records conversations. I would ask him to produce a single conversation we had about replacing the fuse box or an HVAC check. I asked about it only to be told that [redacted] has to be there and no further attempts have been made to get that work done even though it was paid for at the end of June. Those items are highlighted.
What you will not see in a $1000.00 deduction from the estimate given to [redacted] Insurance as my deductible was covered by electronic items damaged by the lightning strike such as 3 TV's and an computer among other things.
I also asked for a receipt showing the work preformed on 06-18-14 but after I get promised then I do not hear back for over a week until they are trying to get more money to replace siding on my home. I don't understand why I can't not get a receipt, maybe they are afraid to admit that the instillation was paid for twice. I will also attach a copy of an email in which [redacted] admits that my deductible was covered by my personal, household items. Please read below the email I copied and pasted. Also printed and attached.

Hello!
[redacted]:  If I'm not mistaken your Adjuster subtracted your deductible out of your contents instead of deducting it from the structure/house side of this claim.  Adjusters rarely ever do such a thing, but rather than make a big deal out of it now lets just relax.
When the claim is finished on the siding portion you can get reimbursed, and remember if the Adjuster agrees with our scope of work for a complete siding replacement I told you day one that I would eat half of your ($500.00) deductible...
No one said you were bad at math it's just the way this claim has worked out so far but it will change shortly. Please be patient "WE" are all on your side no need to create unnecessary drama for either of us, ok?

We had a bad bad experience with them. We got in contact with them in May about fixing the leaks in our roof. The first day I called and contacted Bill (owner) we had a good conversation. He made it seem like they were going to get the job done fast after our insurance settlement, and have smiles on everybody faces. He really made me think that he was a good man and had a heart of gold. That was a lie. They were lying to us saying that they were making progress with our insurance company. And the whole time they were not. We had to make it our business to call them and our insurance company 1 1/2 month later and they told us that this company never filed a claim with them. They lied to us. They kept telling us that they will come this day and that day. Then when the time came for them to come they didn't show up. So of course we had to get in contact with them first. Asking what was going on. They will make up an excuse every time to keep pushing it back and pushing it back. So, I just got fed up with the lies and excuses in October. I told them again, that I came to the conclusion and was going to find somebody else to come get the job done. So, that's when the harrassing voicemails come about him suing myself, my daughter and the insurance company. Now, how does that sound to you guys? We waited a whole five months and passed by two seasons and still haven't seen them. They only contacted us through text messages and now they want to start calling. But we are still very grateful, thankful and Thank God our house will be done in time for the Holidays by a new contractor. God BLESS

This is in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] on 8/5/14. He did contract our company to do Emergency Mitigation; which did include the replacement of the two water heaters. However; he did not purchase either water heater. The credit card receipt showing a $978.00 deduction, that he...

presented, was the cost of his deductible. He signed a service order(attached) for the deductible. Also attached are the receipts for the two water heaters showing that they were purchased on our credit card.

It was explained to Mr. [redacted], on several occasions, that the structure & content portion of the claim are two different settlements. This is not something that Mr. [redacted] wanted to hear, he wanted the insurance company to pay the $978.00 on his credit card, he asked me to generate an invoice showing that he paid for the water heater. I explained to him that I was not willing to do that because it is basically insurance fraud.

It was also explained to Mr. [redacted] that if our company was hired to do the Restoration & Repairs, that Mr. [redacted] would reimburse Mr. [redacted] half of his deductible. This was as a courtesy(as was any assistance in filing the "content" portion of this claim. What the insurance company did was reimburse us for the purchase of the two water heaters.

Every customer that we deal with is told at the beginning of the claims that all calls are being recorded, that includes all calls with Mr. [redacted].

There was more work and there would have been more payments. At no time would Mr. [redacted] have been held in the dark as to what was going on. As stated to him several times, insurance claims are a process that must be followed, sometimes they take longer than any of us like.

It is unfortunate that the situation has evolved into what it has, but we are obliged to follow the law.

Thank you,
[redacted]
AARCS

We responded to Ms. [redacted] complaint through the Ohio Attorney General, see attached.

Also I forgot but here is the contact number for [redacted] from [redacted] Insurance who can verify there was no deductible on the contractor work, it was all my applainces such as TV and computers that I had to replace. ###-###-#### EXT [redacted]

I was out of town and we had an electrical issue at our house. My wife call Affortdable and they immediately began their scam. They sent an uncertified electrician to our house. After they did their initial evaluation and submitted charges for the claim, I had a second electrician review the problem. The second electrician immediately noted the scam and pointed out all the areas where Affordable had made up problems and material requirements. When I told him I would not pay him, he immediately began making threats. It took a lawyer to stop his actions. Don't trust this scam artist.

[redacted] has an old furnace and condensing unit, we told her from the get go that it needed to be replaced. She complained she didn’t have the funds to do a complete change out so we agreed to work on it and replace some of the parts with no guarantee that these repairs would not resolve the...

many other pre-existing issues. See attached work ticket that was completed.THESE STATEMENTS BY [redacted] ARE FALSE SHE PAID US FOR THE WORK WE DID SEE THE SIGNED WORK ORDER AND CREDIT CARD PAYMENT INFORMATION. In a nutshell [redacted] is a Con Artist, and she doesn’t want to pay her obligations. As it is, we furnished and installed other parts that she didn’t pay for.  Then she ordered other repairs to be done, and then changed her mind about those and I issued a 386.00 ( shown above) credit for the services she CXL.  This is what I get for  trying to help someone who is broke, ungrateful, deal breaker, con artist/can’t trust a word that comes out of her mouth, and (I have the entire conversation recorded) and is looking to STEAL her way to getting her very old mobile home system repaired or replaced. Her spineless husband wouldn’t get involved in supervising his out of control wife, and it may have been that she is so good at scamming people he lets her do all the dirty work. After it became obvious [redacted] was up to no good so we didn’t go back to anymore to be abused and taken advantage of.She expects to keep our goods and services, lie to her credit card company file a false statement, and then unjustly enrich herself at our expense profiting for herself. For me its a math decision, she has beat us out of about 875.00 for all the trips, parts and labor we expended on her behalf, its a mobile home that I cannot file a lien on in a park where she doesn’t own the property, plus court costs to pursue her just would drive our losses dealing with this mess even higher. SO I AM DONE!!!This typical deadbeat scam artist behavior of [redacted] of using a credit card to lure repairman in, and then make up some bogus story like the one above so she can try and legitimize her scheme in her con artist mind so as profit from it.
