I have received your notice regarding the above referenced matter Following are the facts of the situation:BarkdustGarden MulchMushroom CompostBlended SoilDecorative RocksPhone 503-636-3623503-692-3756Fax 503-692-2015On August 10, 2016, Grimm's Fuel Company (GFC) delivered soil and rockto Mr [redacted] at [redacted] **in Portland OregonWhenplacing the order Mr [redacted] gave the following dumping instructions,"Dump in front yardCustomer will be home to show location."When our truck arrived that morning there was no one home to show thedriver where to dump and several phone calls to Mr [redacted] wentunansweredDue to the maze of overhead power, cable and phone lines thatcrisscross above Mr [redacted] property, it was impossible to dump the soiland rock in the front yard(A Goggle search of the address clearly shows theimpossibility of the situation, as a dump truck needs at least feet ofoverhead clearance in order to dump.) Thus, the driver was forced to dumpin the only possible location-the edge of [redacted] While dumping on the edge of a street is not an ideal situation, it is verycommon in this section of Portland due to overhead wires and trees.Furthermore, [redacted] is a lightly traveled residential street where peopleroutinely park vehicles on the edge of the street and the rock and soil took upno more room than a parked carWe did not block the road as Mr***stated in his complaint.Later that day, Mr [redacted] called to complainHe was very upset that the soiland rock did not get dumped where he wanted-yelling, screaming andcursing at the top of his lungsHe refused to listen to reason and wasincensed that the driver could be so "stupid".The next day we sent a couple of workers over who shoveled the majority ofthe rock and soil off of the roadAt this point I believed that the situationwas resolved until I received the Revdex.com complaint.While I feel bad that we were unable to dump in the front yard, at no timewas this a safety issue with passing carsMr [redacted] was just upset becausehe has to move the materials an extra feetUnfortunately there are noother dumping options at his home.Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.Respectfully,Jeff G***General Manager
