No brainer
We had purchased a ice bear q6. We called several times in the days leading up to the purchase to make sure they had them in stock, receiving assurances every time, but they were indeed in stock just only in Black which was acceptable. So we placed our order, even verifying once again afterwards that they were indeed in stock. So here we are almost a week later, and we receive a phone call. They're not in stock and it will be 4 to 6 weeks. Wtf? After all the phone conversations and even chatting online? All the sudden they're not in stock? So either your sales people have no brains, or you just run a bad business. Now we have to wait God knows how long for the refund before we can search elsewhere. Absolutely wasting our time, which we didn't want which is why we called several times to make sure they were in stock. I will be keeping an eye on the website. Because I suspect, that they are just doing another price hike. And if I see that that is the case, you better believe I will be turning them in for that.

I purchased a moped from this company this Saturday on February 8, 2020. It's a 2019 Wyn-50 qt8. When I got it off the trailer, it shut off. It has warranty--of one year with the factory. I called and the person said it might be the battery, but the battery is fine, I think it is the fuel line. I was told I needed to fix it on my own. When I bought it at the dealership I wasn't able test drive it, there was no gas in it, but they assured me that it ran. I paid $847.00--in cash and I have a receipt.

Affordable ATV's Response • Feb 11, 2020

We test every vehicle before it leaves here, I personally drove it with no problem. When mopeds are new they have some minor adjustments that may need to be done, we did not ask the customer to fix it himself we gave him some pointers to try before we came and picked it up. Tried to contact customer and no response. His cousin called and I told her I was going to send someone this week to pick it up se we can figure out what is going on. We are in the process of getting this resolved!

March of 2019 a 4-Wheeler (ATV VIN # L9NCFTJ4K1023895) was purchased for $799.00 from Affordable ATVs in Columbia, MO.

June 7, 2019 the sales tax and penalty fees for titling was paid.

June 27, 2019 we received a letter from Missouri Depart. of Revenue stating that "... Our records indicate the seller is not a registered dealer. Therefore, he must make application for title and pay all applicable fees and taxes before selling the unit to you... Please contact the seller and instruct him to take the enclosed title application, ownership document, and a copy of this letter to his local office. Once the seller has received a title in his name, he must assign it over to you."

July 5, 2019 the letter was taken to Affordable ATVs and dropped off with and discussed the issue with ***. She reported that she was the only person there and it would be difficult for her to go handle it and it wasn't her fault that "the state" didn't process her renewal license quickly enough before it expired, but she'd try to handle it.

1/10/2020 we returned to the Missouri Depart of Revenue to inquire status of the title. The Depart of Revenue reported that the title had been issued to Affordable ATVs in September 2019.

1/11/2020 we went to Affordable ATVs in Columbia and *** reported that "she put the title in the mail to us two weeks ago and it must be lost in the mail."

Affordable ATV's Response • Jan 22, 2020

When the customers came in and told me of this issue I was just as shocked as they were. I called the DMV immediately to help clear this issue. I was told I had to take the paperwork to the DMV, pay the necessary fees and they would send the title to the customer. It takes 2 weeks to get that back in the mail. I am busy and had to go to the DMV when I had time to get this completed. When I had time available I went to the DMV to get the title signed to the customer and they were supposed to issue a new title to them and send it out. I completed all of this and the title is to be delivered within the week. Thank you for your time. In business things don't always go smoothly or as planned, and I appreciate the customers patience while I got all of this straightened out!

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I'm not certain that this response is the correct one to chose or not. I have received and read the response from Affordable ATVs and I am not certain what has transpired with DOR in issuing the title. I only know that it has been over an acceptable amount of time and we still do not have the proper documentation for the vehicle. I am asking that Affordable ATV make this a top priority. Should we have to liquidate this vehicle for any reason, we legally cannot and we have not been able to take the vehicle to some ATV tracks because proper ownership cannot be displayed. I am looking to have this issue resolved by the the original title being turned over to me. I realize that business isn't smooth, but the owner is supposed to "know the ropes" since they deal with titles every day. I JUST WANT THIS ISSUE RESOLVED BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR FAR TOO LONG. I have no idea if anyone else has had issues or not. This is the first time using this business. Owner has made contact with me today (after receiving Revdex.com complaint) to inquire if I have received title. She was informed that we have not received the title.

Sincerely

Customer Response • Feb 04, 2020

The title to the vehicle STILL has not been produced by the business. Since the purchase on 3/2019, we have purchased another vehicle and within 1 week of paying the sales tax and licensing fees we had the title in the mailbox. The company said we would have it within the week and that is not the case.

Affordable ATV's Response • Feb 04, 2020

I have checked with the DMV and they are tracking it and getting back with me. I am terribly sorry and am going to continue to keep on top of this.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

After reading several reviews/other customer's experiences, they reported the same issues I am having in getting the title to a vehicle; therefore, I can believe nothing else other than this is a "shady" business. I wish we had read the reviews before handing over the cash, but a person believes the business knows how to operate in accordance with the state law and as far as I'm concerned this business is breaking a law by not providing the title. I have since purchased another vehicle and within one week of paying the taxes and license fee the title was in the mailbox. Something is wrong. The Attorney General's office has been contacted and my next step is to hire a private attorney to handle this matter because as it stands we have possession of the vehicle, a bill of sale, but no title. If we had to liquidate the vehicle, we could not legally because we do not possess a title. I understand that things happen in a business, but this has been going on now for 8 months for this particular issue. I'm sure that some of the other that had the same issue didn't think to contact the AG office or Revdex.com. I hope they did. This business has to stop operating in a *** manner. I hope that the AG office will investigate this business.

Sincerely

We purchased a brand new 4-wheeler for our son on November 30, 2018 for a Christmas gift, which of course was presented on December 25, 2018. The 4-wheeler initially ran fine, he rode it a few times before we left and we took it with us so he could show family. He rode it a few times after that in January (due to weather was not able to ride much) but then it started to not work properly. The 4-wheeler now will not turn on at all. I contacted the business around in the middle of January as there was a 6 month warranty on parts. I spoke with *** (the owner) who asked various questions and came to the conclusion that it was the carburetor. She said she would get it ordered and we could pick it up in a week. The first part came in and we picked it up but it did not fix the issue and the 4-wheeler would not run at all after changing the part. I spoke with *** again, sent her videos, she concluded that it was a different part and would get it ordered and said it should take roughly a week. After a few weeks and nothing back, I asked about the part but it still had not been ordered or came in. I checked in at least one more time and finally after almost 3 months it came in and she said she would ship it to us. The first package never arrived. I contacted her to let her know we didn't receive the package, so she mailed a new one. We received the package and my husband went to put the part on, only to find out it had the wrong end on the wiring so it would not work. I texted pictures to *** showing her the issue and asked what we needed to do now. She said she would order a new part. I asked when we could expect this part to come in. I received "Idk". I waited about 2 weeks to get a status update (which was today, 6/11/19) to which I received "Not yet." While waiting for the second part to come in, I called *** on the phone and asked her about the part and told her we would just bring the 4-wheeler to her so that her company could fix it and we would just pay to get it running again. She informed me that the person she hires to fix 4-wheelers did not have any availability for 3 weeks and that he did not want 4-wheelers in the shop if he didn't have the parts to fix them and were not being worked on that week. However, it does not appear that anyone has a clue what the problem is or how to get the 4-wheeler running again. Now it is June and the 6-month warranty is gone, the 4-wheeler still does not work. It has literally been sitting the basement for 5 months now and we spent $900 to buy this "brand new" product because it had a warranty and should have worked or been fixed.

Good evening, I filed a complaint rwgarding Affordable ATVs in Columbia, MO. I wanted to follow-up on the situation. Megan, the owner of Affordable ATVs, has fixed our four-wheeler and it is running well. My son is very thrilled to have it back and working. If you have an questions, please feel free to contact me. My email is *** and phone ***. Thank you

Very bad experience. I ordered a small atv on a Friday paid for it when I ordered. I was told it would be here Saturday (in a week) everyday from them on I was told it was being pushed back a free more days. Then I told they just needed to assemble it. Then I was told that it didn’t even get shipped. Now after more than two weeks I ask for my money to be returned only for her to send me a credit invoice that shows she didn’t even order the right atv in the first place.

I tried to purchase a utility trailer from Affordable ATV’s an paid them $1360.00 an then two days later they tell me they don’t have that model anymore an that it’d be for a 2019 trailer for $1900. She said she could refund it an I told her yes. I waited 7-10 business days an text them to find out when they sent it back an Gr no response. So I texted them 1hr later saying that the bank suggests that we file a dispute. As soon as I sent that out they texted me back right away saying they are having issues with their account an trying to straighten it out.

I got my problem resolved with the company an got my money back.

We purchased a brand new Go Cart from *** at Affordable Atv's in Columbia, Missouri. Before we left with it I pointed out to her that the wheel was leaning in--she said it was supposed to be like that for safety reasons and the motor stalled trying to get it loaded on the trailer. The brand new Go Cart broke within 5 minutes of riding it. The front wheel had a grinding it was a bearing that had to be replaced in which my husband did the following day after going to the local auto parts store. Once he got it going again, the chain had to be adjusted because it was jumping the sprocket. Got it going again and then the idle had to be adjusted because it wouldn't stay running. Then when my son was riding it the rear tire and wheel came off! *** admitted in a text that the studs are not long enough and they had the issue before. A tire coming off of a vehicle that goes 30 MPH is a pretty big deal to me. She said in a text that it was very unlikely he would have injured going that speed. Scary...My 12 year old that was riding could have been injured. We paid extra to buy from her store because she told us we would be able to take care of the warranty and service with her. She had her company send us parts. We got only part of them today. They are USED and half of them are wrong. This was suppose to be a brand new go cart. My 12 year old son spent his entire summer working to save enough money to buy this go cart that is in no way SAFE! The commander go cart should NOT be sold it is not safe and it could put the occupant in DANGER. I find it alarming that a business is willing to sell unsafe vehicles with little or no concern for safety.

Affordable ATV's Response • Sep 19, 2018

we don't do refund return or exchanges. But I have replaced parts for her.

I bought a UTV from this company on 5/22/18 and it was delivered on 5/24. I paid $6024 for it. I had it for a week and a half and I realized that it had some issues. It was out of alignment, it had a faulty computer and it would beep like it was out of gas and it wasn't, the battery wouldn't hold a charge, the steering wheel is upside down, the passenger side door wouldn't latch properly and they didn't install the windshield that we agreed upon. I contacted this company and they told me they couldn't take it back but they could come and get it and fix it. They didn't show up to pick it up until 7/7. They have had it now for six weeks. Three weeks ago and it was still out of alignment. They claim the battery was keeping a charge and it doesn't. They have it back and I haven't heard from them since.

Affordable ATV's Response • Nov 05, 2018

When she notified us of an issue we picked it up, free of charge, and fixed what was actually wrong with it. She signed off on the work and we delivered it back to her again, free of charge. She later sold the vehicle to someone else and the buyer contacted me to inform me they were the new owners and were satisfied with it.

I purchased a 2017 ATV from affordable atvs on 12/23/2017. After actually ordering a different one, but *** called and told me the one I ordered did not come in but I could by this other one she had. I ask her if it was the same as the orginal one I ordered she said yes. At this same time she tried to get me to buy a different one that was an additional $200.00. I have all the text messages from her during this entire purchase. The one I purchased from them was suppose to be black the one I received was orange. I explained to her how important it was for me to have this by Christmas for my 12 year old son. They did not get it done until 4pm on the 23rd. Since I was suppose to pick it up a week before that but she did not have one for me to pick up. I had to send my aunt to pick it up. Christmas came we gave it to our son. It was very cold and we were unable to start it. I thought it might be because it was so cold. A couple months past and it had started to warm up a bit. So we tried again to start it and were unsuccessful. I didn’t know what we were doing wrong so I took to a machinic shop in town where we live. The mechanic worked on it and said he had a hard time getting it going and keeping it running. He told me it was a poorly made go kart. We took it home and my son rode it that day for a couple hours and the muffler feel off. We took it back to the Machanic a week or two later to put the muffler back on. We took it back home. It didn’t start again. Called Machinic. He said he would take it back that it was ridiculous to have this many problems with a brand new go kart. Two weeks ago I loaded the go kart and hauled by to Columbia to find out they are closed on Mondays. My faiult . So here we are almost 6 months after I paid 1311.21 for a go kart that doesn’t work and only had a 3 month parts and engine warranty. Last my bill of sale says she sold me a 125cc which is what she claimed I was buying the whole time. Because she talked me into buying a 125cc for 1311.21 She said a 110cc for a 1000.00 would be to small for my 12 year old. But my title says the go kart is a 110cc.

The consumer never contacted me directly about any issue or gave me the opportunity to resolve. The Revdex.com letter was the first I heard of any issues. I have tried contacting her but she never returned my phone calls. I would have been happy to assist her best I could.

I bought an atv a little over a week ago on a Sunday. There is no place to test drive on the site. I got it home and realized it had a solid rear axle which meand it takes a large turning space to make a turn. I had concerns for my grandchildren that would ride it because it goes up to 30 miles per hour and this would prevent it from turning on gravel or pavement, it would turn over. I called and asked if I could trade it in for a golf cart. I got no return call so I finally just brought the atv in, today and asked about a golf cart that was on display. Each time we discussed the golf cart the price would go up. I was told the price on the displayed golf cart was without all of the extras. I asked why they had the price on it if it was not accurate. I explained that I was willing to write a check for the difference but the price went from $3,500 difference to $4,200 difference and then she said the trade in value was $800 less than what I purchased it for because now it was used but I drove it less than 20 miles. It had more than 5 miles on it when I got it. Since we could not come to an agreement I asked to just return the atv and asked for my money back. I left the atv with them and I was told that she and her partner would have to check with the finance company.

He came and bought a vehicle from me. He wanted to return it and I told him we didn't do refunds. He decided when he got home he didn't like it. He signed the Bill of Sale saying he cannot do that. I will send over the Bill of Sale. It doesn't matter who it is when they sign the Bill of Sale it says no refunds or exchanges.

We purchased two four wheelers from Affordable ATVs in December as Christmas gifts for our children. Due to the below freezing temperatures in January, our kids were not able to ride the four wheelers. In February, they were finally able to ride, and maybe put 4 hours on at the most, before we realized in late February/early March that they frame on my son's four wheeler was broken in 3 different spots. IF my son was rough with the four wheeler and jumping, I get it. HOWEVER, he was 8years old, only one who rode it, rode on flat ground, barely put any speed on it, and road for about 4 hours or less. There is no reason for the frame to break. When contacting the owner, it took weeks for her return our phone call. ***, the owner told us she had been trying to get ahold of the manufacturer in Texas and that we needed to contact them. We did that, and they said they don't deal with customers, they have to deal with the owner. Come to find out the owner never really did call them! We called ATV, ***, back again and she said she would call them. Almost 2 months later, and she gets back to us today stating that we would have to buy a new frame at $95. We responded with that is fine, but you all need to put it on. She said, no that we had to pay $40 an hour. First, this has nothing to do with something we did, but were willing to pay for a new frame just so we have a 4 wheeler that works. 2) if you look at their reviews, they have paid for others parts that have failed on their 4 wheelers, but never offered that to us. We have been more than patient, we should not have to pay for either of the areas to fix, but were willing to work with her.

Customer Response • Jun 08, 2018

There is a parts warranty. To be honest, I’m not sure what it was. I will have to dig out paperwork to see. I saw the owner posted on someone else’s complaint that they had a 6 month engine/parts warranty.

Affordable ATV's Response • Jun 13, 2018

They purchased the four wheelers as Christmas gifts for their children. They purchased two of the same exact four wheeler. We were informed that there was a break in the frame. I said if they wanted to send in the pictures and VIN I would send it to the manufacture to see if they would cover the frame even though the warranty is a six month parts and engine warranty, labor not included. They wanted an immediate response but warranty claims can take some time. I followed up with the manufacture and was told it looked like customer abuse but if the customer submitted a written statement explaining what happened, when it happened and why it happened they would consider it. The manufacture ended up denying the claim but stated the frame would be $95.00 plus shipping. I informed the consumer and they wanted us to cover the labor costs and when it was explained to them that was not going to happen they became irate. On my bill of sale that the customer signed it says buyers acknowledge there are no refunds, returns or exchanges and that the warranty it through the manufacture and not my business. I have helped in every way that I can.

Customer Response • Jun 14, 2018

This is not true. There is a 6 month parts warranty on the ATVs that we purchased, and she is still asking for us to purchase a new frame for $95. I am still under the 6 month warranty, and should not have to purchase a new frame. We have all the messages from her stating that we have to buy a new frame when it should be under the warranty. Could you please let me know what our next steps are to complete this process? Thanks

I purchased an ATV from this business in November 2017 and within 3 weeks of the purchase the transmission went out. On Dec 2 I took the ATV to the business as it had a 3 month warranty and the ATV has been at the business since. Supposedly they have sent the motor off to a manufacturer in *** and I was told 5 days and they should have it back but since then I have not received any info indicating it has been repaired. It took 2 weeks for them to get the motor out of the ATV then I was told it would cost $25 to ship there and $50 to ship back. I was asked to pay these amounts up front but I insisted payment be made when the job has been completed. I just recently received confirmation that they needed the money to ship it out so the motor has been sitting for 2 months. I have been patient regarding the process but this has gone on for too long. I don't even have the ATV's title yet.

Affordable ATV's Response • Nov 05, 2018

This consumer's complaint was resolved several months ago. He has received the ATV and the title.

I put an ATV on layaway with $600 down. Due to financial issues I couldn't put anymore money on it. I called and talked to *** about a refund. She said she could refund all of my money except for $100 which is non refundable. She asked me to send a picture textt of my receipt. Since then I haven't be able to get ahold of her again.

Affordable ATV's Response

I contacted the customer a month ago and refunded the money.
