On June 18, 2020 I hired an auto mechanic, his business is called Affordable Auto and Diesel Repair, to do work on a 2006 Ford explorer. It needed a head gasket replaced and nothing else done to it. He gave me a price of 1,400 to do the work, he said it would take 3 to 5 days to complete .. I have been in close contact with him since then. After 8 weeks of excuses and lies on august 3rd 2020 I asked him once again when can I pick up the explorer. He told me "it's not done yet he needed to do the A.C. compressor belt start test run tomorrow evening. I asked him why is it taking 8 weeks to do a 3 to 5 day job. Once again he made up a excuse. Finally I told him I am coming up to pick up the explorer. He told me not until Monday August 10th. On August 6 2020 I have had enough of the repeated lies and delays. I had a towing company pick up the explorer only to find out he has done nothing to the explorer but remove parts off of it. He has repeatedly lied to me and did not do the job he was paid in full to do .. I have several messages where he claims it is almost done. I have pictures of where he did nothing but destroy the motor. Remind you it was to be done 3 to 5 days after it was delivered to his shop, which is actually home and no shop was there, and not 8 weeks later I will be willing to send you the many messages of all his excuses and pictures of the damage from it being exposed to water and rain has done to the motor . The motor is no longer good due to his negligence and now I have to replace the motor
Refund company refuses to refund my money and pay for repairs
Thank you for providing me the opportunity to respond to Mr. complaint. When the Explorer was brought in Mr. stated that he needed new head gaskets and asked me how long that would take to fix. Mr. declined to pay for a proper diagnosis on what the true issues with the engine were. Shortly after taking the job Mr. began to place his time frame and completion date on when he expected the work to be done. Upon breaking the engine down, to do the head work, I ran a compression test on the block, as a courtesy, and discovered that the engine block wouldn't hold compression. When this happens it is always advised that the engine be replaced. I advised Mr. of my findings and he just said I need to get it running. While Mr. Hargove has repeatedly badgered and harassed me about his perceived timeline for repairing the Explorer and a perceived refund he believes he is entitled to. Mr. has failed to realize that I have spent several hours of my time in labor in the tearing down of the engine and diagnosis of the engine in addition to the time to gather the needed parts for the work that he wanted done (this is why he came to me). I also spent additional time dealing with him over the phone and text messages. I am entitled to be compensated for my 30+ years of experience in working on engines. I did feel bad for Mr. and I did offer to refund him $500 back because the engine was shot and needed to be replaced. This offer is no longer on the table, however, due to Mr. incessant badgering and repeated text messages. Mr. had the truck picked up from my shop along with the parts that he paid for and left my premises. I have bent over backwards for Mr. and I am not willing to offer him anything further and I consider this matter closed.

Does this look like it is almost done does this look like he only has to put on the ac copressor or the hoses sdoes it look like he offered me 500 refund Ias you van see he has done nothing but lie and steal my money surely dont think so see pics I just sent to you it shows where he has done nothing but lie and rip me off I even have a text where he daid he was not working in it he was on this site tinder looking for a girl when he was suppose to be working in it during his so called business bours he clearly told me it was head gaskets and it be done 3 to 5 days I paid him 1400 to fix the car and all he did was destroy the motor. Now do you understand why he is wrong and he should be held accountable for his actions he should not be in business several complaints on him on his Facebook page sadly he removes them soon as he see them
All I asking from him is my refund to get the suv fixed a refund of 1400 that he took from me nothing more bothing less after all he had the suv 8 weeks and did nothing to it when he clearly stated it rake 3 to 5 days to fix he.clearly stated it was the head gaskets and nothing more now he is trying to save gis but and lie I jave several texts to prove where he said it was head gaskets and how long it take to fix and it surely was not 8 weeks
