Affordable Auto Service Reviews (3)

Review: My car is an Audi A4 2001. It broke down around the end of September. Apparently the timing belt had broken. I had my car towed to affordable to get fixed. At first we were waiting on parts to arrive. It is now going on 3 months and my car is still not finished. I have seen multiple card come into his shop after mine, yet be done before mine. He did lend me a car to use until he had mine fixed, but I'm paying more money in gas that I could be using to pay other bills. None the less, the inspection on the lent car was upon Nov. 28th of 2013. Jason told me out would take him 20 hours to put my engine back together, yet the parts needed have been in for over 3 weeks and he knew when his inspection would be up. My car has been sitting in the lot more than it has been worked on. I don't know what else to do.Desired Settlement: I would like to see why it's not a priority to get a car that has been there for 3 months finished, and see if there is anything that can be done to speed up the process. (either taking it to another shop or getting me a discount for all the inconviences I've had to deal with.) Anything that will get my car done.

Review: My vehicle was dropped off at Affordable Auto Service on 4-15-2015. Work was completed and car was picked up on 4-16-2015. On 4-18-2015 I realized that the drivers door had been damaged. The damage was on the lower edge of the drivers door at the level of the door trim that is aproximately 6" from the bottom of the door. The door was also dented in a concave angle aproximately 1/2" away from the center of the door trim / molding. I noticed that the molding was now being held in place by two hexagon headed screws that were painted black (car is dark marroon). The nature of the damage had to have occurred either two ways- the drivers car door was open as the vehicle was being driven backwards or the car door was open as another object struck the door. I believe this to be the only two possibilities due to the fact that the drivers rear door was not damaged and the trim was only damaged from the side which was not possible if the door was closed or the rear door would be impacted as well. The repair shop reports having surveilance cameras on the property however believe the damage was present when the car arrived for service. The camera will show the car arriving with no damage and when leaving the premise the video will show the damage with screws sticking out of the molding if not the acual accident. The repair shop stated that they have ordered the new trim however the trim was not damaged until the screws were used to also damage the door by drillng into the metal, also they are not mentioning about fixing the dent in the door which needs to be repaired for the molding to anchor to the door or repair the door edge that suffered the impact.Desired Settlement: I wish that the door be repaired to remove the concave dent for the trim to sit flush, repair the holes that were put into the door with the screws that were used to hold the molding onto the door. Repair the dent in the bottom side of the door which was the impact location. Straighten the door as the lower part of the door is pushed forward.

Review: I had my car towed to Affordable Auto Repair on Aug. 29,2014 and I was told that he had several cars ahead of me and I said ok. I called a number of time and was told he would be starting on it soon the same thing every time. So I called on Wed. Sept.10 2014 and was told that it was in the shop and he was working on it. So I went over to the shop 0n Monday Sept. 15 2014 at about 4:45 pm and thought it was done because it was sitting outside so I asked if it was done and was told that he was going to start on it later so when I asked why it wasn't done I was told that he had been busy and I told him that his asst. [redacted] had told me that you had started on it last Wed. Sept.10 2014 and the truth was he had not started at all. So when I said that they had lied to me he said they had not. So after almost 2 and a half weeks nothing was done and after paying to have it towed there at the cost of $150.00 I had to pay to have it towed again to [redacted] at [redacted]. [redacted]. at the cost of another $125.00.So if they lied about this what else have they lied about to other people. So they proved to me that they are not be trusted in anything that they say or do or promise.Desired Settlement: Refund of my towing cost to there place of business since I had to have towed to another place in the amount of $150.00. They lied and had my car over 2 weeks.
