Affordable Benefit Choices Reviews (%countItem)

Due to COVID-19, I am unemployed and my medical ins. was canceled. My employer notified me on April 2, that my insurance was canceled on March 31. My family had no coverage with COVID-19 spreading. I was looking at what was portrayed as Massachusetts Health Connector website. I filled out the form that popped up with my information and my telephone rang instantly. I was given a phone number and ext. to "Gina" the "agent" I was speaking with, in case we were disconnected. "Gina" said they had a plan that could fit my family's needs and budget. After going through who would be covered with names, birthdates, and primary care doctors for each member of my family, they then went over coverages and copays for the plan. I was told I had 30 days to review the plan and could cancel at any time for a full refund if I was dissatisfied for any reason. At that point, I was asked for my social security number and payment to secure coverage. Being desperate for coverage I gave my credit card information but refused to give my social security number over the phone. I was then told I would receive the welcome packet in the mail with the new insurance cards and full plan details. Immediately after hanging up I had a horrible feeling & instantly called the number they gave me. I was told it was not Primary Insurance Group & they get this call all the time, that it was a scam. I called Discover to freeze my account but it was too late. Already three charges were pending. #1-$633.00 for AFFORDABLE BENEFIT CHOICES 420 *** St Suite *** Fort Worth, TX XXXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX. *** INSURANCE SOLUTION for $39.XX XXX-XXX-XXXX FL. *** for $40.XX XXX-XXX-XXXX TX. Discover informed me I could not cancel the charges and had to wait for them to post to dispute them. The smaller charges I was able to get reversed but the $633 is staying as a charge. I've called, emailed, & certified a letter to this company Affordable Benefit Choices to refund my money & cancel what they charged & received no response

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I believe I'm a victim of a phishing scam. I would like my money refunded back to my Discover account. I do not want whatever services or merchandise they are charging me for nor have I used any services or merchandise from them. I need help. They are not responding to my requests or communications. Discover informed me they responded to them by supplying my name, address, phone number & email address as proof of service. They have that info because it was in the popup on the web, with my D.O.B.
