Review: I bought my first car, a [redacted] 2001, March 8th 2014, from Affordable Trucks and Cars. I test drove it and noticed the check engine light was on. The owner, [redacted], said he would have his mechanic put in an o2 sensor and give the vehicle a small tune up free of charge and bring the car to get an emissions test. They delivered the car nearly 3 weeks later after I called numerous times.The office assistant also told me that the car had past emissions and said I can come get the paperwork. I never moved the car from where they first dropped it off I waited until my license test. A month later My sister attempted to move the car to her house it would not start & required a jump start. She moved the car. And it sat in her drive way for 2 more months because I had not insured or registered it yet. I bought a new battery for the car and had to have it towed to [redacted] in on Main Street in [redacted], CT to have then put the battery in. I started the car and noticed the check engine light on still. I called the dealership I bought the car from and told them of the problem. I had to call numerous times until the owner assured me he would fix the problem. They kept the car for a week never called me to tell me what the problem was. I called them nearly everyday and got no information. The following week my Mother went down to the dealership & they told her the mechanic had to put an o2 sensor in which he said he did prior to me getting the car delivered when I first bought it. I called that whole week asking to speak to the boss, but according to the office assistant he is never there because he's at car auctions. Then I kept calling to see if the car was ready, which it finally was but the mechanic said it needed a tune-up and they had to drive it 25 to 30 miles so it can pass the emissions test which they never got in the first place. I still don't have my car. They did give me a dirty loaner car 4 days ago. It has animal fur all over the seats and half of a cigarette in the holder.Desired Settlement: I would just like to trade the car for another one of the dealerships cars of equal value.

Review: They sold me a car for 7,000, I put down a down payment of 2,500. I drove the car for 9 days on the 10th day the car wouldn't start. I called them to come pick up the car and they told me I was the one who blew the engine, I didn't agree with them. I spoke with them saying I want a refund. they was saying to put down 500 dollars more to fix the engine and the timing belt and I told them no I dont have any more money to spend. so I decided I didn't want to do any more business with them because I didn't have any more money to spend on the car. while in my position there was a dent/hole on top of the trunk so I decided they can take out money for the dent and give me back the rest of the money but now they wanted to take 1000 out of my 2,500. also the bank didn't approve the loan while the car was in my possession now they want my step father to co-sign and my family decided not to do anymore business with them because they are trying to blame the engine on me. and they are only trying to give me back 1500 but I want between 1800 to 2000 back and they refused to do that. so this is why i'm filing this complaint. also I believe they sold me a lemon.
