Some form of jugdement went on, I'm not going to say it was racism but I was definitely judged based on something and was charged ***$ for a [redacted] ***I was just in 1/weeks prior for the same service and was charged the correct amount ($**) that was stated on the brochure and from what I was told the person who provided the services has more qualifications than others and that's her priceI read their policy and no where it states such a thingEither way bad business and I will not be returningIf she didn't want to provide the service then fine, but don't charge me extra for bias reasons

April 7, 2016Dear *** ***,We received your letter today about a complaint from a customerThe ID assigned is ***We have already resolved the issue by refunding the full purchase price of $and taking back the computer in question on April 5, However, we would like to
respond to some of the allegations made in the complaint.First of all, the original computer that was brought in for repair was an ** tower which had stopped working completely because the Motherboard had failedThis made repair cost prohibitiveWe recommended a new machineWe are not inthe habit of selling "junk" computers. We have been in business for over years and have never before had to take back a Custom Built computerIf there was a problem we could solve it satisfactorilyWe could not replicate this customer's problem in our shop the first time that he brought it inThat is why the next time we kept it overnight to test the HardDrive and check for any virus or malware infectionsWe ran it longer to see if we could make it "lock up'We still could not find any problemThe next time we reinstalled mouse and keyboard software, opened several programs and documents at the same time and still it did not "freeze”That is why we suggested that maybe it was an issue at his houseWe have seen that before with electric orpower-strip problems. When his wife brought it back in on April 4, she demanded a refund immediatelyWe told her we would test it again before we would give him back his moneyWe were as frustrated as she was and wanted to find the problemWe replaced the RAM and the HardDrive, reloaded his softwareIt finally did lock up when transferring his DATAWe are still not sure what caused it, but we gave him a full refund the next dayWe think that it may have something to do with his software or his old HardDrive which he wanted installed as a secondary drive on his new machine. We understand that there can be parts that are bad even brand new out of the boxWe will always try to make things rightWe do not like having unhappy customers.Sincerely,Michael & Sue S.OwnersAffordable Computers, Inc

Some form of jugdement went on, I'm not going to say it was racism but I was definitely judged based on something and was charged [redacted]$ for a [redacted]. I was just in 2 1/2 weeks prior for the same service and was charged the correct amount ($**) that was stated on the brochure and from what I was told the person who provided the services has more qualifications than others and that's her price. I read their policy and no where it states such a thing. Either way bad business and I will not be returning. If she didn't want to provide the service then fine, but don't charge me extra for bias reasons.
