Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: 1) Affordable Concepts was paid. A check was disbursed, but apparently not cashed. After communication it was decided the best method was to cancel and re-issue the check. However Affordable Concepts had placed a lien on the property, despite not meeting the criteria of actually having a mutually agreed contract, knowing full well the property was for sale. The lien and break down of communication caused further difficulties. I had requested Affordable Concepts to remove the lien so that payment could be made. Affordable concepts refused to remove the lien, and increased the lien amount from $1081.00 to $1,800 some odd dollars. I believe Affordable Concepts taken this action knowing full well how Title companies handle liens, and the time it takes to dispute a lien. In short, Affordable Concepts knew I was remote, and unable to effectively monitor the property or the work in a timely manner. Affordable Concepts charged a $1000 dollars not because of the hours it would take, but because $1000 it was the minimum amount required to enable a lien. A contract was also required, but it appears that condition is easily ignored. Affordable Concepts intended lien the property and force payment through title, and not warranty their work, as claimed. The fixtures did not leak prior to Affordable Concepts, but they did leak after, even after coming back twice to fix other poor workmanship. To top matters off, Affordable Concepts decided that the lien was not for the original amount invoiced, but for an additional $700, bringing the total to over $1800, knowing full well there was not sufficient time to dispute payment before the property closed, and lien paid in full. Based on this interaction, poor workmanship, and overall complete lack of customer satisfaction I have raised this complaint with the BBB for further action.Sincerely, [redacted] ***
