Affordable Corporate Housing Solutions

I contracted with ACHS to stay in a short term apartment for about 6 weeks. I initially confirmed with the representative, ***, that the credit check they run is a soft credit check and would not appear on my credit report. The next day I had a hard check on my credit report and I called the company that ACHS uses to run the report, and they informed me that they only do hard checks. I was then told by Angela that the hard check should "fall off shortly." It is still there, and will not be deleted for almost 2 years, in a time when I am applying for a mortgage and this could negatively affect my mortgage rates.

The day I moved in, they had nothing ready. The apartment was missing a few things that were supposed to be there, including cable TV. After 3 weeks I told the apt office that I didn't want the housekeeping that was supposed to be done every 2 weeks, since nobody had brought it up and after all the issues I didn't want any of their representatives in my apartment anyway.

Also, the rent was supposed to be charged to a credit card I provided. I waited almost the entire 6 weeks for this to happen. After multiple excuses they finally charged a card 2 days before I moved out, including an application fee and a deposit. I asked for an accounting of what fees were charged for what and I never received one.

A few days after I moved out I received a call that they thought my lease was up in April. I forwarded the information I filled out showing clearly that it ended on Feb 22.

The only employee that attempted to help me was John who works for the apartment complex, not ACHS, but it seems that ACHS doesn't inform their apartment complex staff very well. They're extremely disorganized. I am most upset by the hard credit check that was done despite me specifically asking and being told that it was not a hard hit.
