Review: The first phone call resulted in a 5 day wait for a return phone call to schedule an appt. Was given an appt. for their one day dentistry on Oct. 30. On that date, they took molds of my teeth and looked at the x-rays I had taken previously at another dentist, and scheduled for me to come in on November 11. I informed them at the first appt. that I have Lung Cancer and needed things to be done in a timely manner as I had a Dr.'s appt. on Nov. 26 to check for progression of my Cancer. On Nov. 11 they called and said they needed to reschedule because Dr. [redacted] had fallen over the weekend and could not perform any dental procedures. It was very frustrating for me, but as I had already paid for his services, I had no choice but to accept the rescheduling. My teeth were extracted on November 20 and I was fitted with a temporary denture. The denture is crooked, my middle teeth are over on the side, and it didn't fit right. None of the teeth meet. The assistants did the best they could at my Nov. 25 post-op appt. to make it fit better, but scheduled me for a remake Dec. 8 at 8 am. Upon getting there this morning they told me that Dr. [redacted]'s aunt died over the weekend so he wouldn't be in all week and that they called me to reschedule. That call never happened. My sister drives 10 miles to pick me up and then it is 14 miles to the dentist's office. Once there they gave me the news that the Dr. wouldn't be in all week and I needed to reschedule, and furthermore they said my appt. was tomorrow, but I have the card that says it was today. I received the boss(? ) of the Affordable Denture franchise and called him upon returning home. He was rude and seemed to think the doctor was okay with all the cancelling and rescheduling. I told him I would like a full refund. He said he would contact the office and I would have a full refund in 2 weeks. I'm hoping this will happen as I need that money to get my dental work done, but am not too optimistic about it with all the other delays they have. I have 2 very sore extraction spots in my mouth and dentures that I can't eat with at this point.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in cash, as that is how they were paid by me. I don't think with all their other problems there I would trust a check from the company.

Review: I called on Tuesday to setup an appointment. The scheduled me for Thursday by 11am.

I arrived at10am and signed in.

I was taken to an exam room, and asked which type of denture I wanted. I asked to see samples. I decided on the custom set.

When I called on Tuesday they said they would start on Thursday, but would have to finish on Friday. When I told them I wanted the custom set, they informed me they could only do the 2 day service I asked for, if I upgraded to their premium denture set at a higher cost than the custom dentures. When I said I wanted the custom as agreed to they said they could not do it, and tough luck. I feel this is an illegal business pricing practice.

I drove 130 miles one way for the appointment and had rented a non refundable motel room at a cost of $51.

All wasted money and time.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed $100 for my gas expense and motel expense.

After paying 3500.00 CASH for teeth extraction and dentures, on the day of the scheduled procedures (after already being rescheduled) I was informed that the procedures could not be done because I had taken a total of 800mg of ibuprofen the day before. When I protested because I was not made aware that I couldn't take the ibuprofen, the receptionist became extremely rude and condescending to me. It became an argument over whether I had been informed or not. I requested my money back and was told I would have to wait for a check from corporate in North Carolina. I protested this as well because I paid cash for my procedure. I was told that they did not keep that kind of cash in the office. I was also charged 25.00 for a copy of my three page file which I watched her run through the copy machine. The receptionist also literally threw my records at me. When I requested my x-rays, she threw those at me as well. I told her I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com and she said "Good, so what?". Now I have to wait for the return of my 3055.00 (3500 minus 455.00 the cost of my initial set of dentures. In addition, I had a consult with another dental firm and was informed that the NINE surgical removals of teeth charged by Affordable Dentures were not necessary and that ALL of my teeth could just be pulled. Affordable dentures charged me for services that were NOT necessary. In addition, the other dental service indicated that they had never heard of teeth not being extracted because a person took ibuprofen more than 24 hours before the appointment and that the dentures I received were of very poor quality and they recommended that I not use them at all and purchase another set. In closing, each time I had contact with the staff at this facility, they were rude and condescending. They charged me for services that were unnecessary and I received poor quality dentures that I have been advised not to use.
