This is a response to Ms. [redacted]s letter. On Dec 4,2015 Ms. [redacted] came into our office with her mother. She had a letter appointment then her mom. So we tried to see both of them at the same because they were sharing a ride to our office. She had lost her partial lower denture. She was told...

about the snap on smile. She agreed to buy the snap on smile. Both Dr [redacted] and the assistant had explained to Ms. [redacted] about this dental product. It take 15-20 mins alone just to do an impression on any patient's mouth. Accusing Dr. [redacted] of spending only 5 mins with her is a false statement. She was told that we would be sending the impression out to our lab in Southern CA and it would take 2 weeks to get it back.During the time of billing Ms. [redacted] gave us her Care Credit Card to buy the snap on smile. We ran the card online with care credit. It was approved. When we tried to print the statement our printer kept on jamming up. I told her I had to have her sign the approved paperwork it was part of my responsibility. She has to be somewhere else and need to get going. Ms. [redacted] said she would sign it when she came back to pick up the snap on smile. So I let her leave our office she wouldn't be late to where she was going.Dec 17, 2015 Ms. [redacted] came in to pick up her snap on smile. It fit perfectly. She was not happy with what she received and wanted a refund. Dr. [redacted] told her we would be charging her a 25% for a return/ lab fee for materials used to maker her snap on smile. She agreed to pay the 25% fee. We had her sign an Agreement and Release form before we would issue her a refund. Ms. [redacted] read the agreement, made a note on the agreement letter and then signed it. At no time was any fraud committed. There were times when Ms. [redacted] requested money to be refunded or treatment be changed and altered for submitting to the The CA Rehab. We had informed her that this would be fraud and we could not proceed. Our office went above and beyond  to see Ms. [redacted] and worked with her financial situation at the time. We have refunded Ms. [redacted] many times since she started reciving services from our office. Inclosed is a copy on Ms [redacted]s patient ledger and copy of The Agreement and Release form that she signed. Thank you, Dr. [redacted]

Review: I did not receive the service I was promised from [redacted].My mom and I spent 4 hours in her office waiting for our turn to be seen. she spent 5 minutes talking with my mom than left. she spent maybe 5 minutes with me took impressions. Did not explain other choices and promised I would have the snap on dentures in one week.. I was assured by dental assistant. That the product I would be receiving was a high quality and not the same as I had show her in a magazine for the same thing only costing $34.. I didn't sign the credit card receipt but it was summit anyway for 1,400.00. 2 weeks later I was called in to receive product. The product was plastic did not look real and I told the dentist I was very unhappy. She than told me she would refund $1400.00 and charge me 25% of the lab fee. And that she would not give services to me anymore.

2 days later I was contacted by an employee asking me to please sign the credit card receipt so he would not be in jeopardy of his job and promised a 25% refund of the transaction . I filed a complaint with the credit card company. and signed the receipt expecting a refund. I have yet to see this charge taken off my bill. After signing for the refund to my credit card .I asked for a accounting of all services rendered by this dentist and found more descripcencies at which I will be addressing with the state of California rehabilitation which [redacted] submitted for payment but I did not receive. Which I believe will be considered fraudDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund. I would pay for a consulation fee of $25.00. This dentist is taking advantage of people. Im on medical and can not afford for such loss. I could of got this product for #$ dollars not 1,400.00

Response:

The business responded to this complaint but asked that its response not be published. We have contacted [redacted] the head care giver at [redacted] was informed that Ms. [redacted] has been calling our office 3 times a day for almost 2-3 months. We were told Ms. [redacted] suffers from Dementia. [redacted] told me it would be ok just to hang up on her or file a restraining order on Ms. [redacted]. The care faclaty can not take her phone away from her because it's one of her right to have a cell phone.I've talked to Ms [redacted] tell her we were not going to bring her back has a patient. She got upset and threating over the phone. I asked her to please stop calling the office. She contiuned to call. Our company had put a block on her phone number. After getting the letter from the Revdex.comI contacted [redacted] once again.I spoke to [redacted] one of the girls who answers the phone at [redacted]. She gave me Ms. [redacted]'s provider. Ms. [redacted]'s phone (530) 889-7271. I called Ms. Hollitz and was unable to talk to her. I then left a message asking her to contact Affordable Denture. We are trying to resolve the problem but still not going to take Ms. [redacted] back as a Patient due to her uncooperative and threatening matter that she has shown in the past in our office/ phone.Respectfully,William WhiteFDA Redding CA(530)223-2989
