I am rejecting this response because:
Bottom line with all of this is that I was under the impression I was getting 3/inch pickets on my fence I was told specifically I was getting 3/not 5/and yet I got 5/8th I was lied to and forced to take a cheaper grade project and they knowingly sold me a product I did not get It is very decietful and not very good business to do thatMy contract says "3/4" wood pickets not 5/8" " why was I lied to and now put through the ringer because they didnt deliver what was promisedI have enclosed the copy of the contract as well as the pictures of the shotty work that they had to come fix in my last messageAnd they say they fixed it at no charge shouldnt they? They did the shottty work why would I pay for it again I mean really?! Lol These people are ridiculous and obviously scam artists my complaint will remain until either they settle with the for this headache or we can go to small claims court and ill deal with it thereThank you

We do not agree with Mr. [redacted]'s assessment of this complaint, however, in the spirit of cooperation we are willing to issue a check to him for $339.18. This is based on the following:The cost breakdown for the invoice is:25% of the invoice was the labor=$1017.55.25% was the wood frame and posts = $1017.55.50% was the pickets at 3/4"'=$2035.09. 5/8" pickets would cost $1695.91.The difference between the two costs = $339.18Mr. [redacted] told the owner of the company he arrived at the $1000 refund claim based on his and his neighbor's research. When the owner asked M. [redacted] to show him the research in order to arrive at an equitable figure, Mr. [redacted] refused to say how or where he found the information, so we have come up with what we feel is an equitable amount, based on our research.We respectfully refute Mr. [redacted]'s claim that the hardware on the gate was "dollhouse hardware". The hardware is not inexpensive, it is standard in the industry, made of stainless steel, patented and made in the USA. As to his remarks about the "flimsy construction" of the gate, the gate he ordered is our standard gate, he did not request our stronger box gate, which is an upgrade.As to his statement regarding the "shotty" work, we came back and made the repairs to the wood he claimed was damaged at no charge to him.We would like this matter resolved and feel our offer to do so is a fair one.Sincerely,Larry T WadsworthGeneral Manager

Re: Complaint ID #12239444Regarding the above complaint, I would like to state our position in this matter in response to the complaint by Mr. [redacted].We purchased 1"x1"x6' redwood pickets for Mr. [redacted]'s fence, thickness can vary because wood sizing is "nominal sizing", not exact sizing. For...

example, Home Depot's website description of a 1"x6"x6' redwood picket has an actual size of 0.688"x5.5"x72", nominal size 3/4". He states we bought 5/8", while in fact, we bought 1". We can verify the purchase of the wood for his fence to be 1"x1"x6'.We can submit the invoice for the wood we purchsed for his fence showing the dimensions of the wood. The wood was not cheaper, we did not substitute inferior wood, and Mr. [redacted]'s claim for $1000 is unfounded.Mr. [redacted], upon competion and inspection of his newly installed fence sent us an email, and I quote;"Wow! What an amazing job u guys did on my fence. Thank you soo much!!!Please let me know if you require any further information. We look forward to a resolution on this matter.Sincerely, Larry T.
