Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/04/17) */
To Whom it may concern:
I am not sure what Mr. [redacted] is trying to insinuate about Carfax reports being offered to our customers. First of all if a customer asks for a Carfax report they are given one. No acceptations. Second, Any preowned...
vehicle on our website has a Carfax logo that a consumer can click on to get a free copy of the Carfax report.
When we purchase a vehicle the VIN is entered into our computer database and VIN is expelled. If the VIN number is typed wrong the system would prompt an error message. We have a third party vendor (VinSolutions) that handles our inventory. Mr. [redacted] is making false accusations against our dealership about running a deceitful used car operation. I would ask Mr. [redacted] to provide these 5 other vehicles he is claiming the VIN numbers do not match. I would be more than happy to take a photo of their VIN plate and the VIN number on our website to disprove this erroneous claim.
I am also attaching a copy of Mr. [redacted] Buyers order, a copy of the title, and a copy off our backend inventory tool with link to the Carfax(I have my mouse pointer hovering over the Carfax logo to show the link address showing the VIN of the Ford Mr. [redacted] purchased (also attached is a Microsoft Paint file of the print screen so you may read the VIN easier), as well as a copy of his vehicles Carfax. All showing the correct VIN. At no time did anyone at this dealership try and deceive Mr. [redacted] about any past damage on a Carfax report.
