1.  when I talked to rick at Affordable to schedule (24/7 service), I told him that his add says $129 ( see attached)with no tax for the springs,lube and center bearing. he still added tax so I did not want to argue about $11 for tax. 2. the reason I called Affordable was it was family run and owned and close by. work is done by the owner or his brothers like there add says (see attached). but instead I had Robert and his wife ( no offense to the black couple) show up at my door step which I also let slide and did not say. and I have nothing against blacks. it was shocking to see.these were the 2 reasons I called affordable3. when I called rick 2 hours after the installation why it was so much, he did not want hear nor explain why I was charged that much and that the service charge. so he texted me about his competitors pricing and how he bent over back wards for me. Robert and his wife had the parts torn out in his hands when he told me that they were bad and the door is going to fall off if not replaced (scare tactic) even though my garage door did not have an issue but one broken spring. Rick also mentioned that the bearings are $86 with the service call even if I had to call him back out again. this tells me that he is double charging on the service call again they had the old parts off in his hands that only cost less than $20 no matter where you go even OE. I will not settle for any less than the $70 I asked for and even then that is little for what I had to go through arguing with a company that suppose to stand behind there customer and work ethics

Yes the customer called at 10.20pm and made an appointment for 11-1 the next day for springs I gave a phone quote for $141 Cash or check Yes [redacted] showed up at customer earlier (unheard of in are industry) as [redacted] was doing the service he let him know his rollers and end...

bearings were worn out do to no maintenance. The customer declined rollers but opted for end bearing for $ 93 after discount and tax please see signed invoice and note the clause at the bottom  that all prices and services have been explained to me before service is performed. Afte[redacted] left customer calls me and says that he found a non oem part online and that he wants a refund for $70 because we over charged for labor , I tried and tried to explain that all are prices are set in menu form see attachment and that everything is included in are prices as we do not charge a trip fee, service call fee, or gas fee, (UNHEARD OF IN ARE INDUSTRY) it doesn't matter where you live Scottsdale, South Phoenix, or Surprise everyone pays the same (UNHEARD OF IN ARE INDUSTRY)I informed him that End Bearings are $93 after discount and tax same with the rollers $93 bearings $93 Cables $93 genie trollies $ 93 (UNHEARD OF IN ARE INDUSTRY) I even sent him a parts price  list from my competitor he said he didn't care and if I didn't match the internet price he would file a complaint. No arguing I was letting him know he had the option to decline them at the time and then he went into how I was double charging for labor I told him we don't charge labor. Everything is set at half the prices that my  main competitors are charging and that. I even have a hotline so customers can call and we can help over the phone to save them money and he is calling a company that takes great pride in protecting customers from predator garage door companies (UNHEARD OF IN ARE INDUSTRY) and hes calling me unethical REALLY all Im doing is trying to keep my doors open not [redacted] just open I took an oath with the Revdex.com to give fair pricing and excellent service and if you ask me we did both, If customer wants to see unethical read up on the reviews from my competitorsResolution this complaint be removed and for the customers check to clear for services rendered Ya Right ? (UNHEARD OF IN ARE INDUSTRY)

From time we called about our garage door that was not working this morning including the rapid response we received by the servicer technician that arrived at our house within 2 hours after we called. He found the problem right away, which was a broken spring and related loose cables. He had all perts needed in hos truck. Replaced the torsion spring with a new one with a lifetime warranty, adjusted the cables also included lubrication and tune up of the tracks etc. He noticed that there was friction between a couple of panels of our (old) garage door creating drag. Suggested adding a support strut above that specific area across the width of the garage door would eliminate that problem. I asked him to install that and he tightened up all the all the bolt nuts accross the entire door. All was done within one hour. The cost for all was very affordable. For customer service, timeliness, professionalism, communicating with customers about the problem, to stating the costs prior to customer giving the OK to proceed...Is in my experience nothing less than excellent.

They gave me a 2 hour window and missed it. BUT he did call and tell me and apologize so to me no harm no foul. The guy got down to business. I wanted a tune up and lube. He told me he could lube everything but if I wanted to squealing to really stop, upgrade the rollers. I asked how much (in fear). After taxed $86 (total). The Tune up alone was going to be $50, so to me it sounded like a great deal! Took him about 20 minutes. Right as he is finishing he asks me to come out. He says "have you ever had trouble closing this door because your safety eye is out." I think, Oh here we go. This is where he hits me with a ton of made up work and my bill will double. Instead he looks around and pulls a few wires. He finds a horrible splice job the previous person did. There was exposed copper wire. He quickly spliced it CORRECTLY and covered it with electrical tape, no charge.

He told me he thinks I have close to another 5 years on my springs. But just in case he gave me the cost upfront so I know what to expect. Two springs would be 130 plus tax. I found many companies online where that was the price for one and that didn't include labor. These guys are a no nonsense, small operation. I would deal with them anytime. You know what you are getting, no hard sales, no B.S. Good enough for me!

I called them on a Sunday morning and they scheduled me for 2:00pm and then called back to see if ok to come early. Great for me rather than wait. I thought maybe the door would have to be replaced due to the damage but the repairman had a better idea and fixed it within 30 minutes for $50.00. The door actually operates better than it ever did. What more can I say, they were prompt, courteous, honest, knowledgeable and affordable. I'll never call anybody else for garage door issues.

We were very pleased with this company. Garage door stopped working. Colton came out very quickly to give us a quote for a new door, which was very reasonable. While here he was able to get the door working again and didn't charge us. We will definitely be contacting them when the door does need to be replaced!

One of our garage doors failed a home inspection. It refused to stop closing without slightly crushing a box on the floor - a real safety issue! On the phone they said this could probably be fixed in a $50 service call. One of their service people, [redacted], came out the same day, on time - in fact, he called to ask if he could come a little early. He adjusted our ancient door opener to fix the problem, lubed all the joints and left it running better than before. He was clean, efficient, with a very good attitude, and didn't try to sell us anything. We are glad to recommend them highly!

I would definitely recommend this company. I had asked for several quotes and as promised Rick's was the cheapest. He fixed my garage door spring in 30 minutes. I really liked his professionalism ..and best part he didn't push me for any additional repairs. Thanks Rick ... I now have him on speed dial.. And will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Marcos the guy! I had received 3 or 4 quotes and everyone said the door had to be replaced since the parts for Amarr Stratford 1000 are not being manufactured anymore. The lowest quote was for $660 to replace 4 panels. Marcos straightened the damaged lower panel and installed a strengthening strut all in 90 minutes and for less than $300. Works fine and we're relieved and happy and satisfied!

I was having a problem with my garage door so I called this company. I spoke to [redacted] and he fixed my issue right over the phone with no charge whatsoever. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them and I will use them next time I have a problem or I want New garage doors. Very high rated thank you!!!!

Had to post an update. We had an another problem with our garage door. (It was something we were told about on his last visit but we elected to not have fixed). Rick came over a as soon as he could and fixed the problem.

I called on a Monday afternoon and Rick dispatched Keith, a wonderful and quick repairman, during the same day! Our garage door needed new springs, which were quickly installed by Keith and our new garage door functions now better than ever before. A pleasure to chat with Keith as well. Rick runs an honest family business. He charged the $141 for the Garage Spring repair that he was asking for on the phone and didn't try to find any reason to charge more. In fact he replaced some cheap plastic bearing with a steel ball bearing without charging me extra for that. Our original home manufacturer had originally just put in one spring due to the fact that it saves them a few $ , which Rick replaced with 2 Springs.

This company is amazing. They just saved me over $ 700. Let me tell a short story. I am a new first time homeowner with very little experience in home maintenance. Last week, my garage door wasn't opening. So I called a big company that had a "coupon" for a $ 90 service check. The technician came out, said I needed new everything, quoted me over $ 1000 to repair, and said he could try to cut the price down to $ 700. I wanted to do some research, so I paid him his $ 90 service charge and went online.

Next I called the Affordable Garage Door & Repair company.

Rick answered the phone immediately and set an appointment that worked with my schedule, on the weekend. Kenneth just left my house, after charging $ 0. He showed me where the other company completely, flat out, lied to me about my motor setting. He explained every part of my garage door, springs, motor, and drums, and why nothing needed replacing. And he even at no charge, lubed the spring - which the other company didn't even do! Even when I tried to show my appreciation by giving him a tip, he waived it away as unnecessary!

Truly, this is a fantastic company, I will definitely bring all my garage door issues to them for the next 20 years, and I will tell everyone I know about how they were honest, trustworthy, and saved me a ton of money.

Earlier today my garage spring broke and snapped a support cable in the process. called up these guys and Rick sent over Colton to fix it the same afternoon! Will definitely recommend, thanks guys !
