I had them do my roof for me They did a great job, did more than I had expected to prevent my roof from leakingThey were friendly, neat and did it in a timely matter I would recommend them to any oneThe price was good for everything they did, they put wood on the roof since my roof is a slotted roof and the last contractor I had did not do it and I ended up with leaks all over the houseThey also put extra protection in the areas where the house had been added on to, around the chimney, and back porch Job well done

Had windows and sliding doors installed by Affordable Home Improvements The job was done in the timeframe given, the workmanship was excellent Everything from start to finish was monitored by Bob V [redacted] which is an absolute plus I plan to have Bob and his staff back in the summer for more work Very pleased with everything!!

This is the best home improvement contractor I have used in my years on Staten Island The owner, Bob, is,extremely professional, curious, and very helpful His staff was very professional and we're on time,very neat, cleaned up everything and the job was done on timeWhatever home improvement you are considering do not hesitate calling Bob at AffordableIf you want it done right the first time, without any hidden costs or extra charges this is the company you need to deal with

BEWARE!!! I would never recommend or refer this business to anyone! *** G*** is the ownerHe is friendly when he's first signing the contractAnytime after that, you become a hassle and put on the back burner I hired him to add on to our existing deck, replace all siding and repaint our homeHe promised us it would be done in days, it actually took over weeks! His crew would either show up late and only work a few hours, or *** would call and make an excuse of why they couldn't come that dayI believe he was putting other jobs before oursShortly after the job was done, we noticed that the gutters are not connected to the house and nails were pounded in and not painted overAlso, random cuts on our trim with diff sizes that do not matchThey painted over rotted wood instead of replacing itFor the past months we have tried to call and txt him and we keep getting kicked to the sideHe has not come back to fix anything

On june 8th *** *** texted me that her grout was dark in a couple of spots.and a filmy cloudy section of shower ceilingWhich ended up being a great deal of soap.I cleaned off.and showed my employee to hav as a witness.the grout was dark in a couple of spots.we removed this section
sections.the grout was still wet.this was why it was still dark.mrs *** did not allow proper curing time.she was instructed cause of intensive humidity those days to install a heater and not use bathroomShe said she was showerkng at the ymca.cause only one bath was avaliableMrs *** and famkly were never left without a toilet.as promisedEven thou the wet grout was not our fault we removed it and dried up affected areas and dried with a hair dryer (blower).supplied by mrs *** her selfI have unlimited proof that mrs *** complaint regarding me not responding to her , is she contacted me thru text.on 6/8/On same day I respondedTelling her I willb there next day to see issue.next day mrs *** complaint to Revdex.com.not even giving the chance to see the actual grout issue which ended happenning for not following caring instructionsAs for the dryway mrs *** herself said she was looking for quotes to replace it,.I gave her a quote of $the dryway is in very poor Conditions.im sorry this happen but k been years as a licensed contractor and never had an issueMrs *** paid me in full thanksI bav all text messages and videos of bath and removal of wet grout wet after a week of application is proof they did follow instructions

[If you are rejecting the business's response please enter your rejection comments here.] in response to the notification that you sent me about the complaint I made against affordable home improvementsComplaint number***The message from the business stated that we texted about a couple of spots of discolored grout and acoludy section of shower ceilingIn fact, there was a great deal of discolored grout and the untied top of the tile shower had grout that had hardened on the tileWe attempted to clean this " great deal of soap " It could not be removed without sanding the tile which is what he ended up doingWe also followed his instructions as to when it was ok to use the showerAt no point did we wet any surfaces before the time he told us was safeThe portion of the grout that was repaired was done on the step into the showerThis step was tiled in such a way that water pools on it instead of drainingWe already are experiencing separation of the tile due to this designI did speak to the contractor about my desire to obtain a new drivewayI did not think that was consent to stain the driveway with cutting tile, paint , etcthere was never any discussion about the time frame of the driveway workIn closing we have had another contractor look at our issues and because of the poor design of tge step into the shower, we are going to have to pay to have repairs done to this tile work Thank you

The owner of the company is unorganized and is shady when it comes to money on the project and paying his contractors with or without a contract. Do not work or have work done by this company.

Review: In 2013 I had my roof shingles replaced on my barn By Affordable Home Improvements ([redacted]). The old shingles were taken off. Affordable Home Improvement was to replace any bad plywood. There was one sheet that was water damaged and needed to be replaced. [redacted] went to my scrape wood pile and pulled a piece on 1/2 plywood out and put replaced a small section of the plywood but the whole sheet needed to be placed. Another problem with this is the roof was 3/4 plywood. Plus the shingles were not squared to the roof and the rows were way off. I made Affordable Home Improvements take the shingles back off and straighten out his mistakes. At the time it looked better but not great. Here we are less than one year later and the roof is leaking. Damage is happening not only to my roof and plywood but my car collections and my welding equipment inside my barn. I contact Affordable Home Improvements because there is a 10 year warranty on labor and they would work with the MFG of the products used to correct defects and problems. Affordable Home Improvement scheduled a appointment with me to come and look at the roof and take pictures and start the process. [redacted] never showed up for the appointment. He stopped emailing me and will not call me back. After many time sending him emails and massages he is leaving me and my barn high and wet!!! I have a heart condition and he is causing me unneeded stress and now with no action no contact it is affecting my health and my building and my car collection and my electric welding equipment. I contacted my town building dept. and found out Affordable Home Improvement do not pull permits and have the roof inspected during any of the work they have done. Plus on top of it Affordable Home Improvements the year before replaced all my entry doors and windows in my house 5 doors and 20 plus windows and vinyl sided my home. Without permits and inspections. They at that time damaged my gutters, security camera systems, drywall. and roof shinglesDesired Settlement: Right Now I will not work with them or want them on my land. 10 year Warranty states they will fix it. Plus now that they pissed me off and affecting my health . I want the work redone, The water damage taken care of and repaired. They damaged the shingles taking them off and reusing them. I think having a roofing company do the repairs will take care of it. I will overlook the cleaning of my car collection and the damage to my tools and welding equipment. Plus this way the permits will be pulld
